Hi guys What exactly is the point of TNA One Night Only special events? We've only had 3 air so far, X-Travaganza was epic, Joker's Wild was alright, and Hardcore Justice 2 was terrible except for the ladder match. A few weeks ago we had Hardcore Justice 2, and then Hogan announces Hardcore Justice for IMPACT. So I'm thinking what is the point of One Night Only if they'll most likely just do a special IMPACT broadcast using a similar name. I thought X-Travaganza was the replacement for Destination X, then we have Destination X on IMPACT. And we're apparently getting Against All Odds and Final Resolution later on the year as well so apart from seeing some old faces come in for the specials, there doesn't seem to be a real point to the events. Just my take on it. What's your guys opinion? I

They are filling contract obligations without running 12 monthly pay-per-views like in years past. It's pretty much thrown together shows that don't really mean anything.

Yeah, what SodaGuy said. There's suppose to fulfill their PPV obligations. Technically speaking, they still have 12 months of PPVs, except 4 of them are their regular PPVs while the other eight are just taped shows with random subjects. Like this month's supposed to be a reunion from the early days of TNA. Now to me, I would think they'd have wrestlers from 2002-2005 on this show. I would have liked to see America's Most Wanted reunited. When I read the spoilers, I was disappointed at some of the matches. Sure Roode/Storm were in the company during the early days, but that feud took place in 2011-2012. If anything, I would have had Bobby Roode reunite with Eric Young or Petey Williams to face America's Most Wanted. Austin Aries vs. Jeff Hardy. Great match to have, but again, feud took place in 2012. I would have had Austin Aries in a multiple person X-Division match and I would have had Jeff Hardy face Jeff Jarrett. Sure Jarrett's not currently active in TNA today, but for one night only he could have wrestled. He's still active part time in AAA. Angle vs. Joe, I have no complaint on the match taking place. Also, I saw that there was a Gauntlet with the former stars. Why in the hell would Joseph Park would be in this gauntlet. I guess TNA just booked randomly with wrestlers they had and wrestlers who actually accepted their invitational. Oh well, I'll most likely watch this if I'm bored on a Friday night.
