I was just playing Type or Tap and realized that I think WWE missed a week or so of fun by not hiring a certain individual to be GM of one of the wrasslin' shows.
If Vince was willing to hire Easy E, do you think he ever considered bringing in Billionaire Ted Turner in as a GM of Raw or Smackdown for a week or so? We all know that the GM has no real power, so it could have been a special guest GM with the story being how Ted wanted to resurrect WCW for one night and showcase wrasslin instead of sports entertainment.
Would that have worked?

While it would be cool to see, I honestly think Vince and Ted generally just do not like each other. There's a difference between the Vince-Eric hate, as they both mutually were "working for the business"....With Ted, it was all about the money.

Ted would have nothing to gain by doing it.

I'm sure they aren't close but Vince has said on more than one occasion that he and Ted got on just fine. Ted Turner was and probably still is a huge wrestling fan, I agree in saying he would have nothing to gain. He wasn't a on-screen character, I am not sure if his presence would've came across that well.

Wow, that would be great if they were able to get him to do one of those "Guest GM" spots... he certainly doesn't need the money but if they could get him to do it for "fun" what great TV that could have been....
Especially if he tried to "resurrect" WCW or something like that, just for one night only...
Don't think it'll ever happen though....

I'm sure they wouldn't have even been able to get Ted. He owns his own network and I don't see him appearing on a show like that for another network.

No. I'd rather have Dixie Carter as GM. All joking aside. Was Ted Turner ever involved in WCW storylines?
