B29 B32 B34 BP24 E23 BOPPV Elite all being released within weeks/months of each other. I only have one question..WHY? ? Mattel. Please respond. Are Cenas sales really high enough to justify pumping out so so so many of him. And packing them so heavily.

My guess is yes. The only reason I can think of why Mattel would have to constantly shove Cena down our throats, aside from incredible sales, would be because WWE wants Supercena on shelves at all times promoting WWE, since, ya know, WWE is CENA. But it could just be sales. I'm guessing that there's a lot more kids buying these figures than collectors, which is also why only one flashback per elite series sells so good. And kids love Supercena.
As for the khaki's, that's just what he's been wearing exclusively for a while. When did he last wear jogs? Sorry if I'm wrong though, I usually take a snack or a bathroom break when he comes on.

The answer is simple and obvious... Cena is the most popular wrestler in WWE, and rereleases and minor repaints of him are cheaper than designing a new figure. So every time a Cena gets rereleased, that frees up more money in the budget for a newer figure or more details on someone else etc. Rereleases of Cena make it possible for other figures to have designs on the back as well as the front of their trunks.
And for me personally, anytime they just put another Cena, Big Show, Orton, Rey in the basic series, that's usually money I get to save. I couldn't keep up if I wanted 100% of the basics.

Really easy, these are toys. For the most part toys are for kids and kids love Cena.

At least he's got a couple new scans coming out. I will pick up E23 for the shirt and whole new outfit, then I will get the BOWM for another new title.

If I were mattel, I would want it so that any consumer, anywhere, can go into any store, and purchase a John Cena action figure.

still nothing compared to Cena in dark blue shorts w/red armbands... I kinda thought they learned their lesson with that red Cena. He was in so many different assortments and they stayed on the pegs for soooooo loooong. Even kids were like " How many gosh-darned Cena figures does one kid need!!!" And then we got very few camo Cenas (only one elite) and a couple of green Cenas...maybe 3 basics and 2 elites??? And now they've gone the same route again...granted he won the Royal Rumble so they have to put him in that set and he won the title at Wrestlemania so they have to put him in that set. But then they slot him in all the other packs too. Did we really need a battle pack of cena and rock with a title? They're both coming in the Wrestlemania sets, and the Royal Rumble sets!!!

You make a good point, but mattel releasing figures for kids and what figures would sell. Yes, they know there are a lot of collectors out there, but we are not their target kids are. We may get tired of how many Cena's, Orton's, and Mysterio's there are, but the fact if the matter is that kids will buy them and they will sell. Mattel is in it to make money and has been around forever so they know what they're doing.

Saying "its for the kids" is a cop out. There's no kid who goes to the store and begs their parents for Cena figure after Cena figure after Cena figure. Its obvious outfit change isn't enought to get him off the shelves. I really wanna go back one day and create a list of all the repeat Cenas we've got compared to figures of guys in outfits we NEVER got.

John Cena is their poster boy so they must want him on the shelves at all times.

Im really not a fan of Cena myself but I can see why there are so many figs. Obviously they sell better than anyone else. Ive only got the DM cena but plan to ge an elite version sooner or later when im impressed enough.
