While I'm attempting to shrink my figure collection, I do still check out the toy aisles in stores. I went last night to see what my local Walmart had only to discover they have removed all the spots for Elites, only carrying basic and two-packs. I was shocked to say the least.

All Walmarts are doing toy aisle resets. Unless your store is done and everything is in place.....

Everything is in place. There are no tags for Elites. They haven't had any for at least three months, but the pegs were still there. Now they are missing.

My WalMart hasn't carried Elites since Series 1. Nor do they carry any DCUC or Batman/DC Unlimited since DCUC series 3 (not even the WalMart exclusives) If I want them from WalMart I need to go an hour north or down to NJ stores.
Although during Nov/Dec they do carry Elites. But as soon as the next reset is done they are dropped again.

Odd! I've always been accustomed to there ALWAYS being at least a million Mysterios or Cenas warming the shelves. I've never seen a store not have some elites.

The last newer elite I saw at mine was AJ. last time I went which was last week they didn't have one sticker on the pegs for elites. Just basics and battle packs.

For those willing to do it.. Walmart can special order a case for you if you ask. You might need to pay up front though and its a gamble as to what set comes in. Maybe you get lucky and its a case E12 or E13. Or, it's a case of E18. If I had the money, that would be a fun gamble. |

That sucks, i remember a time when my wal mart stopped getting in elites and the spots were all gone. Eventually they started to get some in around elite 16. Have hope my friend it could just be temporary

I guess I should reiterate. I have two Walmarts here, a KMart, a Toys R Us, a Target and a Big Lots with a few other stores that sometimes sell figs. So I'm not completely out of luck, but the missing pegs struck me as worrisome.

My Walmart got Elite 22 but its the case without Giant. Same with Kmart. Case without Giant. Glad I got the one I saw at Target!

It makes it easier for me since I don't have to check out an extra store now, but they were pretty good about getting new figs out.

When I worked at Kmart I remember they showed us how the tags on the pegs sometimes are colored green. Which meant that they were in the top 100 sold items in the store. So those are what you always wanted to prioritize refilling. Last time I was at Kmart both basics and elites had the green tags.
Not that this goes without saying but WWE mattel is the hottest toyy out today. I'm sure Walmart Target, etc all sell the crap outta wwe figures as well. And when you go into a store and see that they don't have any pegs for basics or elites, all it shows is idiotic managment. But hey, if they don't want to capitilize on making money, that's on them.

you might be able to "trick" your walmart into carrying elites again.
purchase elites from other walmarts and return them to the non-elites-carrying walmart. do this with a few elites(5 or more), not just 1 or 2 figures. someone will likely come in and buy them and automatically trigger a restock in walmarts ordering system.
i have done this several times with marvel legends and dc universe figures at various walmarts. it has absolutely worked with these lines. i don't have any wm in the area that don't carry elites, so i haven't had to try the trick with elites but i'd really have to assume it'd work on them, too.
