Alright, final Smackdown before No Way Out! Lets... do... this? Well, I'll save that for the pay-per-view. Here comes Alberto Del Rio and he is ready for Sunday! Too bad Big Johnny and Executive Order is mega-cock. ALBERT!? WHEN THE HELL DID A-TRAIN GET HERE!? Albert of the River now has to face Mark Henry instead? Boo Big Johnny. Boo. A disqualification finish was fine, though, as it helped get Del Rio beaten up. I don't see him winning on Sunday. I think he might, but, I'm expecting a Barrett win via Executive Order screwyness. Holy eight diva tag match, batman. Goddamn, Kaitlyn, Kelly Kelly, Natalya, Nikki Bella. So much bangable in that handful right there. Yup, I left some out. Good preview for the battle royal on the No Way Out Kickoff. Cody Rhodes managing to beat Sheamus was fine with the distraction from Ziggler's music. Seemed a bit odd for this type of feud. Big Show knocking Cody Rhodes was good, but we all know Rhodes will pull it off on Sunday. Drew McIntyre squashing Trent Barreta. God, I forgot Barreta existed. Fine for him going in to his match on Sunday. The Usos versus Hunico and Camacho, basically filling time up here to get The Usos a win. Hey, Abraham Washington! THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS ARE COMING BACK LIKE KOBE BRYANT IN A HOTEL ROOM IN COLORADO! Oh. Meh, more fill zone with Christian beating Heath Slater. Nothing to care for here, honestly. Finally, a big concluson with the show going in to a full out brawl with Ambrose and Orton in to the parking lot. Ambrose chucked him through the car window! THAT LUNATIC! DAMN IT, AMBROSE! A solid show, I felt like it was a bit overcrammed with no break in between matches, but, it did the job of building up Sunday as it could.

Alberto Del Rio as a babyface is something I actually enjoy more than him as a heel. Interesting to see the Executive Order punishing him tonight and favouring Daniel Bryan. Mark Henry was obviously given his marching orders here - beat the crap out of him no matter what. A DQ finish makes sense in this scenario as it wasn't about the win, it was about hurting Del Rio. Big divas match, not sure who will claim the number one contender's spot though. Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton will seriously be one to watch come No Way Out. A big win for Cody Rhodes, albeit thanks to Dolph Ziggler. Big Show knocking Cody out makes him seem like a huge threat, but I see Rhodes overcoming the giant when the match takes place. An obvious win for Drew McIntyre here, and I think he will be victorious again against Kane and Ryder, even though I'd love to see Kane take the gold. A good win for The Usos, Hunico and Camacho are bit pointless at this stage. I'd like to see the Usos get a title shot soon. Always good to see Christian on the winning side of things. Loved the closing segment between Ambrose and Orton. Ambrose really is a crazy dude! I look forward to seeing them go at it this Sunday.

Paige might be dating the guitarist from A Day to Remember and I'm sad. The last time I was heartbroken, I calmed myself by listening to ADTR. BUT I CAN'T NOW! SO I GUESS I'LL REPLY! A solid opening segment between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan to further build the WWE Championship match on Sunday. I'm really glad that the two of them are seemingly going to close out a PPV. In reality, it should have happened at OTL and MITB. Also looking forward to Punk vs. Wade Barrett tonight. Not a bad win for Cody Rhodes over Kane, followed by a post-match involvement from Drew McIntyre and Zack Ryder. I really hope to see Rhodes and McIntyre retain their respective championships, even though I'm not totally sold yet on the latter. I kind of view McIntyre in this diary as Derrick Bateman is perceived in mine. A guy that the writer is behind, but maybe not all of the readers. Whatevs. Eve was massaging John Laurinaitis? Big Johnny indeed. Divas TV time. I LOVE IT, MAGGLE! I really do like the announcement for the Kickoff Show, though. No doubt the match will come down to AJ Lee and Kaitlyn, possibly leading to friction when one of them goes on to challenge Kharma. An AJ/Kaitlyn feud. Not like anyone else on the board is doing that program. Two huge matches for NXT. Well, Rollins/Ohno is clearly huge. Zayn/Curtis only appeals to me because I'm a fan of the both of them. Dolph Ziggler defeating Santino Marella was obvious, but I do wish that this was a 2-out-3 Falls match with Dolph taking both falls easily. Maybe you can run with that for SmackDown. Maybe. Mizson Ryan, whether he ends up as a stunt double or just a bodyguard, will take some effort on your part to make work, I think. He just never appealed to me. I'm more into those damn millennials. Wow. Quite a big segment with John Cena and Chris Jericho. The attack on Cena's leg puts the match at No Way Out in question, no doubt. I wouldn't be against cancelling the match and having Jericho just cut a promo, to be honest. The card on Sunday is already stacked as it is, and it would save either men from having to take a submission loss. Glad that Dean Ambrose picked up the win in his RAW debut over Rey Mysterio. Ambrose/Orton has been a really fun program. I'm just hoping that Ambrose will be allowed to actually go over Orton at No Way Out. Decent win for AirBoom to build some momentum heading into their title defense against the Real Americans on Sunday. International Airstrike doesn't have much to them any more, I think. I'd like for Tyson Kidd to adapt his current persona here. FACT! Guess that The Rock will be announcing a future WWE Championship match at RAW 1000. I'm interested in seeing if you hold off on it until Royal Rumble, or if it'll come sooner for him. Lastly, a great main event featuring CM Punk and Wade Barrett. The disqualification finish was expected to keep both men strong, as well as to set up what appears to be a huge tag team match for SmackDown. NXT Time! I forgot that "Welcome Home" was the theme song. So weird. Kicking things off with Sami Zayn vs. Johnny Curtis was lovely. Zayn getting the win was expected, though I have no idea who will come out on top in his match against Damien Sandow. I'm hoping for Zayn, but I just don't know. The NXT Tag Team division has been a struggle of mine, to be honest. I hope you have better luck with booking the teams than I have. You certainly have the roster for it. Paige and Sofia teamed up?!?! What?!? ANTI DIVA ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!! Resuming the reply, I'm really liking this. Paige and Sofia's team was originally what got me interested in FCW shortly before NXT was re-branded. I do hope that this can lead to big things for the two of them. Main event time now? This show went by quickly. That or the tournament matches just took up so much time. And apparently so, seeing that Rollins vs. Ohno was given nearly 25 minutes. You damn smark. I predicted Rollins getting the win and I'm glad that was the case. I have no doubt that he will defeat Big E Langston next week, but the Zayn/Sandow match still has me stumped. I think I might go with Sandow winning, just because Rollins vs. Zayn seems like the kind of match that you would hold off until NXT's first special event. Maybe Rollins could go heel by that point. Just the thought of a heel Rollins vs. Zayn match makes me harder than seeing Paige in a thong. THAT. F******. HARD. MOTHERF*****. Last show before No Way Out! Took you long enough. A good opening segment from Albert Del Rio. Much like my bae, Elliot, I prefer Del Rio as a face, so it's nice to see him in that role here. The disqualification wasn't a bad way to go. Keep Henry looking strong, which is needed at this point. Barrett vs. Del Rio in the Steel Cage is going to be awesome. I take it these will be all of the Divas competing in the Kickoff Show Battle Royal? Doesn't matter. AJ or Kaitlyn will definitely win, just as they should. You know what? I mentioned AJ and Kaitlyn splitting earlier, but with the Anti Diva Army now a thing, that's the tag team feud of my wet dreams. I think I had Dean Ambrose refer to Randy Orton as "Randall" as well. I can't remember. It's been over two years since I did their rivalry. Cody Rhodes defeating Sheamus, distraction or not, is actually a big deal. It's a massive win for Rhodes, though only slightly hindered by his altercation with Big Show afterwards. I'm pretty confident that Rhodes will retain at No Way Out. At least I hope so. Simple victory for Drew McIntyre here. Still see him retaining over Kane and Zack Ryder at No Way Out, which should be what happens. The Usos with the win? Nice. I'd love to see them rise in the tag team division ranks. A three-way feud with them, AirBoom and The Real Americans would be sex. Oh, hi Abraham Washington. Don't make a Kobe Bryant remark that will cost you your job. Christian defeating Heath Slater was what it was. I'll be honest and say that this hour has been kind of dull. Though at this point, No Way Out is already sold, so not a ton of work has to go into this SmackDown. Meh. Lastly, I LOVE that the Ambrose/Orton program got to close out the show. A nice brawl between the two, leading to Orton's head being put through a car window. Overall, a very solid week of television to send things into No Way Out.

June 17th, 2012 | Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey
YouTube Kick-Off Show: AJ Lee won the Battle Royal to determine the number contender for Kharma’s Divas Championship. The focus of the bout was Eve doing her best to stay to the side and only sneak in with eliminations. It came down to her, AJ and Kaitlyn so she tried to play them against each other. They team up to eliminate her, but AJ also throws Kaitlyn out and secures the win. After the match, the Chickbusters seem to be on the rocks.
After the WWE signature flashes across the screen, a video package is shown focusing on the Steel Cage. A voiceover discusses how, once you’re locked inside the Cage there is No Way Out. That’s the case for Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett tonight as they step inside the fifteen foot high structure. The video then shifts focus to the WWE Championship, which will be decided when longtime friends turned bitter enemies, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan lock horns. Pyro shoots off and the camera pans around the Izod center as the crowd is going nuts. It looks like the audience will be hot throughout the night. Michael Cole, Jerry “the King” Lawler and Booker T welcome the viewers at home to tonight’s jam packed card. Tonight, both the World Heavyweight and WWE Championships will be decided and we’ll see what happens when two unstable Superstars meet as Dean Ambrose takes on Randy Orton. They also hype Chris Jericho’s third match in a row against John Cena and whether or not Cena will give up tonight. TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS: DOLPH ZIGGLER VS. SHEAMUSConspicuous by her absence tonight was Vickie Guerrero. Dolph Ziggler looked to be incredibly determined and focused. In the early stages he did his best try and outwrestle Sheamus on the mat, using his Kent State amateur wrestling background. As he gained the upper hand, he slipped into “Showoff” mode and did his headstand while holding a headlock. Sheamus would get free and go for the Brogue Kick, only to have Dolph slip behind him and roll him up for three. DOLPH ZIGGLER WINS THE FIRST FALL! Sheamus was in shock at this turn of events but after a short rest period, was more aggressive than ever. He held serve throughout the second fall, overwhelming Dolph with his power advantage. Dolph was resilient though and managed to kick out of several high impact moves. It looked like it was going to be a clean sweep when Dolph locked in the sleeper hold. Sheamus was fading, but pulled himself together and broke free before hitting the Brogue Kick from out of nowhere to even things up. SHEAMUS WINS THE SECOND FALL! “The Brogue Kick can strike from anywhere at any time” exclaims Michael Cole as Dolph is given some time to regroup. The final fall might have been the most exciting, as both guys picked up numerous near falls. Sheamus busted out the Celtic Cross, but Ziggler countered into a sunset flip for two. As both men stood to their feet, Dolph snapped off a superkick when Vickie Guerrero came down. Dolph began to argue with her as he attempted to send her to the back, but she wouldn’t listen. When she finally turned away, Sheamus connected on a second Brogue Kick to secure the third fall. SHEAMUS DEF. DOLPH ZIGGLER 2-1 IN 15:11
The crowd cheers for the “Celtic Warrior” as he picks up a huge win and rids himself of a big thorn in his side. Booker T points out that Dolph Ziggler may have had the match won until Vickie Guerrero appears. Dolph is clearly not happy as his frustrated face is zoomed in on.
Backstage, we are taken to the office of Executive Order where we see John Laurinaitis, David Otunga, Eve Torres, Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre. They talk about the show when a knock is heard and in steps Mark Henry. Things get tense as he asks Laurinaitis about the plan for tonight. Laurinaitis looks around and decides to step outside to discuss things with him. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: AIRBOOM [C] VS. THE REAL AMERICANS W/ ZEB COLTER
Over the past few weeks, nobody has been hotter than the Real Americans. AirBoom looked to put a stop to their run though as the established two time Tag Team Champions took it to their challengers early. Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne have developed quite the chemistry and have formed some crisp double team moves that they showed off early. However, the raw power of the “Swiss Superman” Antonio Cesaro turned the tide. He and Jack Swagger cut the ring in half and made sure Bourne was unable to reach his partner. They impressed with a combination that involved Cesaro leaping over Swagger into a double stomp for two. Bourne would eventually make the hot tag to Kingston, who came in firing on all cylinders. He went for Trouble in Paradise, but, like a true teammate, Swagger shoved Cesaro out of the way and took the hit for him. This allowed the legal man, Cesaro, to strike with a popup uppercut and Neutralizer to win the titles. THE REAL AMERICANS DEF. AIRBOOM IN 7:57 TO WIN THE TITLES
Zeb Colter snatches the WWE Tag Team Titles from ringside and hands them to Antonio Cesaro, who is helping Jack Swagger to his feet. “The ultimate form of teamwork and sacrifice has led the Real Americans to the top of the tag team mountain” exclaims Michael Cole. When Swagger is able to stand they raise the titles with their left hands, place their right hands over their hearts and scream “WE THE PEOPLE!”
In the back, CM Punk is shown preparing for his huge WWE Championship defense tonight by watching Daniel Bryan tapes. Cutting away, Bryan is shown preparing by shadow boxing when AJ Lee comes up to him. “I know that we’ve had our differences, but I just wanted to wish you good luck tonight.” Bryan looks confused but congratulates her on winning the battle royal. She gives him a kiss on the cheek and skips off. WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: CODY RHODES [C] VS. BIG SHOW
Cody Rhodes has held the Intercontinental Championship for 314 days coming into tonight. He has decided to issue open challenges for the title, which led to victories over Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio but things changed when he ran into the Big Show. Cody found more of those troubles tonight as Show was tossing him around the ring and fired off some loud chops. Cody went after the knee wisely and took some control because of that. He continued to work the knee, but his Beautiful Disaster missed which allowed Show to hit the Chokeslam. Great ring presence was shown by Cody, who rolled out of the ring instead of getting pinned. With the stipulation that if Cody got counted out he would lose the title though, he had to get back in quickly. He managed to do so at the count of eight but Show was cocked for the WMD. He swung but Cody ducked and took out the leg again. He then reeled off two straight Beautiful Disasters and the Cross Rhodes to put down the World’s Largest Athlete. CODY RHODES DEF. BIG SHOW IN 6:48 TO RETAIN THE TITLE
Cody Rhodes is handed the Intercontinental Championship and he raises it high in the air. Day 315 is set in stone as Cody continues to be the fifth longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time. Big Show stands to his feet and isn’t pleased, but Cody Rhodes has beaten him fair and square.
A promo is shown for Money in the Bank, which airs live on Sunday July 15th from Phoenix, Arizona!
Scott Stanford is standing by with John Cena, who gets a mixed reaction as he steps into the picture. Scott asks him about his leg after being attacked on Raw this past week. Cena responds by saying that he has been urged by his doctors to not perform tonight but there is no way that he’s going to let Chris Jericho get the best of him again. “I will go in there tonight and I will beat Chris Jericho. I fear nothing and regret less including tonight Scotty. Let’s do this thing.” A video package airs, highlighting the history between Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett. It goes back to John Laurinaitis handpicking Barrett as the guy he backs as World Champion and when they attacked Ricardo Rodriguez. It shows how Barrett used underhanded tactics to retain the title at Over the Limit. WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP STEEL CAGE MATCH: WADE BARRETT [C] VS. ALBERTO DEL RIO
The WWE Universe was abuzz once these two warriors stared at each across the ring and the Steel Cage door was locked. Despite his size advantage, it was clear that Wade Barrett was less happy about this stipulation than Alberto Del Rio, who finally gets him one on one. Early on, Del Rio is on fire. He snaps off multiple kicks and begins to work the arm. He slams it against the cage a few times for added violence. Del Rio headed for the door but was stopped by a low blow, a move that played a big part in his loss at Over the Limit. This allowed Barrett to begin to get in his offense and he targeted the back of Del Rio. The Winds of Change got him a near fall, as did the Wasteland. This shocked the crowd and infuriated the World Champion. He decided to just try and walk out the door, but Del Rio stopped him. They fought to the top turnbuckle where Del Rio tried a superplex but Barrett pushed him off. He slowly turned and began to try and escape, only for Del Rio to catch him and place his arm in between the steel up top. Not only did this allow him to bring Wade back in, but it also continued the arm work. As they made it to the mat, Del Rio locked in the Cross Armbreaker! Barrett was writhing in pain when Mark Henry walked down to the ring. He ripped the door off of its hinges and entered after tossing officials to the side. Del Rio broke the hold and charged but was met with a huge clothesline. Henry planted him with the World’s Strongest Slam as Barrett crawled out of the cage to retain. WADE BARRETT DEF. ALBERTO DEL RIO IN 17:17 TO RETAIN THE TITLE
The fans in New Jersey boo loudly as Wade Barrett has managed to find a way to escape Alberto Del Rio as World Heavyweight Champion once again. Mark Henry exits the ring with an angry look on his face and heads to the back without even looking at Wade Barrett. Barrett raises the World Title high in the air to the heat from the crowd.
We are now taken to a video package chronicling the lengthy rivalry between Chris Jericho and John Cena. We go all the way to 2002 when Cena beat Jericho in his first ever PPV match. We then see Cena beating Jericho on multiple occasions like SummerSlam 2005 and Survivor Series 2008, as well as the night it got Jericho fired. We see Jericho’s return at the start of the year and his struggles before he realized that it all came back to his inability to beat Cena. Since then he bested him in a Last Man Standing match and pinned him at Over the Limit. Tonight they meet in a submission match so Jericho took out Cena’s leg six nights ago. SUBMISSION MATCH: CHRIS JERICHO VS. JOHN CENA
Right from his entrance, it was clear that John Cena was not quite himself. He limped to the ring and seemed to be in a fair amount of pain. As soon as the bell rang, Chris Jericho went right after the leg. This would prove to be the story of the contest as Jericho just continued to fire away on the leg and even the biggest Cena detractors had to feel sorry for him. He refused to quit though and kept fighting through the pain. His rally began with the five moves of doom as some would call it. He nails the Attitude Adjustment and went right into the STF! Jericho looked close to tapping but managed to get free and apply the Walls of Jericho. Cena still would not submit so Jericho let go and got the chair again. “Oh no, not this again” said Michael Cole. Jericho again took the chair to Cena’s leg before putting the Walls back on. Cena struggled but made it to the ropes. However, with there being no disqualifications in a submission match, Jericho didn’t break the hold and Cena did something nobody ever expected…he tapped out. CHRIS JERICHO DEF. JOHN CENA IN 14:31With the exception of some cheers, a silence fell over the Izod Center. Booker T, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler could not believe what we all just witnessed. Even Chris Jericho seemed a bit confused at what happened. John Cena grimaces and holds his leg while officials check on him and he stares off with a huge look of disappointment on his face. Jericho smiles and rolls out of the ring as some of the fans start a “You Tapped Out” chant. John Cena looks emotionally drained as he continues to get checked on. A short video plays hyping up Raw 1000, which airs live on July 23rd!WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: DREW MCINTYRE [C] VS. KANE VS. ZACK RYDER
The crowd was still relatively stunned at what just went down, but the arrival of Zack Ryder managed to shake them out of their funk. Despite no longer being the United States Champion, Ryder is still among the most popular Superstars on the roster. There was an interesting element to this one as Kane and Ryder worked as a team in the early goings thanks to their shared issues with the United States Champion. Of course, once winning the title came into play, they began to go at each other. McIntyre was content to let them do battle and watch from the sidelines. Kane set up for a Chokeslam, but McIntyre snuck in and chop blocked him before drilling Ryder with the Future Shock and retaining. DREW MCINTYRE DEF. ZACK RYDER AND KANE IN 8:07 TO RETAIN THE TITLE
The WWE Universe is not pleased as Drew McIntyre allowed Kane and Zack Ryder to do battle and sneak in the back door to retain his belt. A quick cut backstage showed Executive Order cheering in their office. It has indeed been a good night for them as John Laurinaitis looks on proudly.
In the back, Matt Striker tries to catch up with Mark Henry and ask about his actions in the World Heavyweight Title match earlier but Henry refuses to speak and heads off. A video package airs showing the rivalry between Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton, all building up to tonight’s bout. Dean Ambrose made his debut during Randy Orton’s World Title shot at Extreme Rules and attacked him. This led to a match at Over the Limit that culminated in Ambrose getting disqualified. Over the past few weeks, Ambrose has claimed that the Orton he faced at Over the Limit was not the Orton he wanted. This has led Orton to snap and bring back the “Viper.” GRUDGE MATCH: DEAN AMBROSE VS. RANDY ORTON
During Dean Ambrose’s entrance, Randy Orton attacked, showing that the “Apex Predator” is indeed back. Their brawl continues on the outside and through the crowd for a while. The bell hasn’t even rung but that won’t stop these two from tearing each other apart. Orton chokes Ambrose with cables who retaliates with a steel chair shot. The fight goes to the announce table where Ambrose nails Dirty Deeds through it. The crowd is going nuts as they finally get into the ring and bell rings. Because this was a regular match, things calmed down from here because neither guy was trying to get disqualified. They still hit each other hard throughout the match and we saw numerous near falls. The finish came as Ambrose attempted a big running knee, only for Orton to dodge it and bust out an RKO! That was enough to earn him the pinfall. RANDY ORTON DEF. DEAN AMBROSE IN 10:19
Randy Orton stands to his feet and raises his arm in victory, but holds his neck as this was a grueling outing. Michael Cole is sure to mention that even though the “Viper” was out tonight, Dean Ambrose proved to be a tougher opponent than a lot of people have given him credit for.
Our first promo for SummerSlam airs, as the summer spectacular comes to you live on August 19th!The final hype video for the night plays, showing the history between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Thanks to video footage, courtesy of Ring of Honor, we see some of their original work against each other. It then showed both guys make their debuts on a split screen and recapped some of their accomplishments side by side. Punk’s ECW Title win and Bryan’s US Title win were shown together before moving to both guys winning Money in the Bank and both men winning the World Titles. We also see them posing for a picture together after TLC last year when Bryan won the World Title and Punk held the WWE Title. The last highlights show how their friendship has turned into a rivalry over the past few weeks. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: CM PUNK [C] VS. DANIEL BRYAN
If someone told you a few years ago that a WWE Pay-Per-View would be main evented by CM Punk and Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title, they would have called you crazy. That was the case here as both guys came out ready to steal the show and prove that they belong in the main event. The match began with each guy trying outwrestle the other, which is tough since they are both so amazing. Bryan targeted the arm and worked it throughout, stopping every Punk rally. He does get in some near falls with multiple pin attempts. Bryan showed frustration because he was unable to put Punk away, so he chose to take him to the top. He prepped for a superplex but was shoved off and was crotched on the top rope. Punk followed with a vicious clothesline but can’t cover because his arm is in such pain. He goes for the GTS near the end, but Bryan counters and moves right into the Yes Lock. With the work done on Punk’s arm, he’s very close to tapping out but does manage to reach the ropes. Bryan is furious and begins to fire off kicks to the chest. He goes for the killshot to the head but Punk ducks, picks up Bryan and hits the GTS to keep his reign alive. CM PUNK DEF. DANIEL BRYAN IN 19:54 TO RETAIN THE TITLE
Nearly 11,000 fans erupt as CM Punk gets to his knees and celebrates his victory. CM Punk’s title reign is nearing the seven month mark as he turns back every single challenger. We get a replay of some of the highlights of that match, which was one of the best WWE Title matches in history. Back at the arena, Punk continues to celebrate, while still selling the arm work. Been looking forward to this - mainly Dean Ambrose versus Randy Orton. To kick things off (quite literally), AJ Lee wins the number one contenders Battle Royal, I think she's the best choice. But you have that unfortunate struggle of making a divas look strong against Kharma. That's why I think she wouldn't have lasted long in the WWE anyway, she's just too dominant for WWE's diva division. Sheamus getting the victory over Dolph Ziggler with two falls to one is a good move in my opinion, especially if you're going down that road of having tension between Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. Really pleased to see the Real Americans take the WWE Tag Team Championships here. I think they're a team that could really raise the bar in that division. As expected, Cody Rhodes somehow managed to defeat the giant and retain his title. I like the lengthy reign here, and wouldn't mind seeing Cody rack up a few more months before losing it to someone who needs the boost. Big Steel Cage Match, and I'm happy to see Wade Barrett retain the World Heavyweight Championship, he is definitely a better Champion than Alberto Del Rio. Mark Henry's involvement raises some questions though, what's his deal with Del Rio now? Shocked that you had John Cena actually tapping out to Chris Jericho here, I would have thought an Austin-esque pass out would have been the way to go, but making Cena legitimately submit makes Jericho look strong as hell. Where does Cena go from here? Small error - you put Raw 100 in your little promo line, haha. I think Drew McIntyre retaining the United States Championship was the right way to go, as much as I would have liked to see Kane take the gold. The match I was most excited for now. Randy Orton going over has me a bit meh, but if it means this feud continues then I'm alright with it. And finally, CM Punk defeating Daniel Bryan to retain the WWE Championship, I think it's the best way forward to keep Punk's reign going strong. I hope like in reality he gets a big ending to his reign when the time comes. Maybe not The Rock, but someone who can be paired with him to make an awesome main event angle.

WWE No Way Out: Sunday 17th June 2012…I must say, as cool a graphic as that No Way Out poster is, it’s strange to see the poster star being Drew McIntyre, who’s in the midcard for this show. Nonetheless, onto the show. AJ Lee winning the Divas battle royal on the YouTube Pre-Show was nice, I suppose. Lee challenging Kharma at Money in the Bank will make for a huge Davina vs Goliath match. I suppose this spices things up between AJ and Kaitlyn, too. I always hated the Chickbusters as a name. Onto the main show, a good choice to kick off with Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus facing off. Two out of Three Falls matches works best in this position on the show, in my opinion. Sheamus winning was expected, given the roll he was on in 2012. He was practically booked as unbeatable, after all. But wait, Vickie Guerrero cost Ziggler the final fall? That’s interesting, perhaps a turn is on the way perhaps? I hope not, as I think it would be too soon for a face turn from Dolph. If Ziggler ever won the World Heavyweight Championship, he should win it as a heel. Air Boom loses the WWE Tag Team Championships? Hmm, I suppose it’s beena long run already for Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston – but I just think it was a bit rushed for Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger of the Real Americans to win the titles so soon. A little more character development and build would have been better for them in my mind. Cody Rhodes retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship cleanly, that surprised me for sure. I am glad that you did this angle with Rhodes and Big Show, but it never occurred to me that Rhodes would be keeping the title. Wow, a long reign for Cody so far. Fifth longest reigning Intercontinental Champion, now that’s a nice touch. I was surprised to see the World Heavyweight Championship this early on in the show, and I don’t remember the steel-cage stipulation being added to be honest. I have no doubt that this would have been a solid match, but I expected Wade Barrett to retain the World title and I was right. A good decision to have Alberto Del Rio as an upper tier babyface this soon, though. He really helps SmackDown’s Hispanic demographic. Mark Henry seemingly entering the World Heavyweight Championship fray makes things very interesting as well. I see some sort of triple threat angle taking place going into Money in the Bank, if not Del Rio facing Mark Henry and Barrett moving on to fresh competition…perhaps Sheamus? Up next, Chris Jericho and John Cena – was alright for what it was. I don’t like the concept of two gimmick matches going on after another, but nevermind. Submission match is just a variation of the Steel-Cage bout anyway. I was very surprised to see Chris Jericho getting the win here, but I suppose that’s where John Cena waits to seek his revenge at the next pay-per-view. Well-structured feud here with Jericho getting the win underhandedly as expected. Jericho’s just such a good heel. RAW 100? Typo here. So happy you aren’t going three hours every week. Drew McIntre defeating Zack Ryder and Kane was fine in a decent WWE United States Championship defense by McIntyre. I can’t help but feel this one should have been on longer, though. I liked the cheap finish to this, but I think we’re seeing too many lame finishes tonight. Classic psychology with Mark Henry refusing to talk. I suppose people will have to wait until SmackDown this Friday night. Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton would have a great match, but it’s a shame that this so-called “Grudge Match” only went ten minutes. I feel it should have gone longer, definitely. You’re being too careful with your timekeeping really. This bout as a grudge match and a semi-main event should have gone at least fifteen minutes. I do like that your write-ups for these pay-per-views are still quite brief, though. It’s pretty nice and different compared to every other writer on the board (hehe). And lastly, a mildly disappointing length to the WWE Championship match. Should have gone longer. CM Punk retaining the title made sense, but I’m wondering if we’re going to see an extension or if this is actually the end of the feud. Either way, I’m not sure how I feel about this match going on last on pay-per-view really – granted, they are both fantastic workhorses, and Punk is at the peak of his popularity here: but I don’t think Bryan was that developed as a character to earn himself a main event spot in the eyes of box offices buyrates – and management would blame Punk for the lack of draw this main event brought on. It just feels a little weak to me, sort of. Nonetheless, a decent pay-per-view – it’s a buffer en route to two big pay-per-views in Money in the Bank and SummerSlam, which I’m curious to see the cards for. My only gripe for this show was the timekeeping: some of these matches went extremely short when they could have been slightly longer. Additionally, the lack of buffer between Ambrose/Orton and Punk/Bryan may have affected the crowd reaction for Punk/Bryan. Maybe something to work on in the future.

Ayyyyy No Way Out! Glad that AJ Lee was victorious in the Kickoff Show Battle Royal. The tension between Kaitlyn and herself was expected and I do look forward to seeing what happens with them while AJ prepares to challenge Kharma for the Divas Championship. Onto the show itself, a fantastic way to kick things off with Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler's Two-out-of-Three Falls match. A bit of a coincidence seeing as how they opened the actual No Way Out 2012 event. Sheamus rallying back to get two straight wins over Ziggler was a great result, I must say. I would have liked for Ziggler to go over, but I completely understand having Fella take this match. Mark Henry talking about a plan, eh? Is he a official member of Executive Order? The same can be said for Daniel Bryan since he's usually hanging around with Big Johnny, Eve, Wade Barrett, David Otunga and Drew McIntyre anyways. Whoa. A bit surprised that The Real Americans managed to become WWE Tag Team Champions so quickly. Did Evan Bourne wellness? Meh, who cares? WE, THE PEOPLE! AJ Lee.... yeah, that bitch cray. Remember when 'cray' was a thing around this time because "N***** in Paris" was still popular? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Very happy to see Cody Rhodes retain the Intercontinental Championship. Big Show shouldn't really be anywhere near that title at this point. Yeah, I gave him a two week run with it, but it was purely for storyline purposes. 315 days? Look at you giving Rhodes an extremely lengthy title reign. We all do them nowadays. AJ with Seth Rollins. Myself with Wrestling Royalty. Real WWE with CM Punk. Whatevs. A great Steel Cage Match here, and while I would not have been against a victory for Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett retaining is more than acceptable. Mark Henry's involvement was rather interesting, and I would assume that we're set for a rivalry between Henry and Del Rio. Could have happened in reality at WrestleMania 29, honestly. Not much space to allow the audience to cool down between this World Championship match and the upcoming Submission Match. I'm not really one to complain, though, since people probably think that I've never heard of a breather before in my life. Holy sh*t! John Cena submitted?! An incredibly shocking result, and one that I'm not quite sure how to respond to. Cena dropped three straight PPV matches against Chris Jericho, who is currently on some Roman Reigns levels of strength. What happens now? How does Cena possibly rebound from all of this? Following that, an expected victory for Drew McIntyre here over Kane and Zack Ryder. While I'm not a huge fan of McIntyre by any means, I do admire that you've built him into a legitimate superstar. With Money in the Bank coming up, I would say that he is a favorite in at least the World Heavyweight Championship MITB match. While I did hope for Dean Ambrose to be victorious over Randy Orton, I'm not totally against the opposite result happening. Ambrose could get his win back somewhere down the line. Perhaps at Money in the Bank. Lastly, an amazing WWE Championship match to close things out. Could have gone either way, I thought, but I'm ultimately content with Punk retaining. With the mention that he is nearing seven months as champion, it makes me believe that you could be giving him a run similar to the one that he had in real life. I certainly would not be against it. A very entertaining and well-booked No Way Out PPV. Very much looking forward to the fallout.

Alright, No Way Out. LETS! DO! THIS! #BrockLesnar. AJ Lee winning the Kickoff battle royal to become the number one contender is fine, some friction between her and Kaitlyn is interesting. I don't know if that will really lead to anything, though, with AJ having to begin the program with Kharma. ANYWAY. Moving on to the main show, good to see Sheamus get the victory over Dolph Ziggler, even though I favor the latter. Ziggler can bounce back from this pretty quickly. Next up, the WWE Tag Team Championships are on the line and well it might be too early for The Real Americans to take the belts, I'm fine with it. Air Boom was growing a bit stale as a team, especially with the titles. Cody Rhodes beating Big Show was the right call her for me, Show doesn't need it. Would it be nice for him, yeah? But, like I said, he doesn't need it. Promoting Cody with a long reign is great for him. Next up, the Steel Cage match for the World Heavyweight Championship between Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio. Would be a solid contest and I'm glad that Barrett retained. I'm sure, with Henry's involvement, Del Rio can move on to face him and we'll see a new contender for Barrett. Curious as to what will come of that. The submission match following the steel cage match isn't something I'm a fan of, to be honest. I don't like John Cena tapping out. I mean, I get it that Cena's career is going down hard this year and it'll probably lead to a big pay off in the end, but I just can't see him tapping out at all. Good win for Jericho though. Drew McIntyre retaining the United States Championship was for the best, there wasn't a reason for Kane and Ryder to win right here. Dean Ambrose losing to Randy Orton was an interesting call that I'm kind of meh on, but, I think Ambrose can quickly bounce back from it. Short match, though. Lastly, a fabulous main event as anyone could expect between these two. CM Punk walking out with the title was for the best, in my eyes, as he needs something major to stop this reign. I wonder if you'll go down the heel turn route or not. A solid pay-per-view event, seemed to be lacking something, but it was a very solid event before we delve in to some major events coming up soon that I'm sure will deliver.

Sticking to your WWE diaries I see. As with all the sims, I'll have to just catch up on things over time.
Drew McIntyre on the poster? Interesting......to say the least. Wonder if you'll be splitting up Ziggler/Vickie. Ha, forgot about Air Boom. Glad you gave Real Americans the tag belts; that was a missed opportunity in real life. Wonder what you'll end up doing with AJ/Bryan/Punk....hopefully not too close to real life. Ending to Cody/Show was realistic. Good going for being persistent with keeping the belt on Cody for that long. Love that Barrett has the WHC and glad you didn't give it to Del Rio as I always thought he really didn't bring much to the table despite his heavy pushes.
Not a huge fan of Cena tapping out (although you played up the shock) since it was to Jericho of all people, but I'll wait to judge until I see where you're going with it, since it sounds like you're going somewhere. Figured McIntyre would win if he was on the poster, ha. Glad Orton won, hopefully you have something in line for him at Mania that is important. Glad Punk won as Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania in 2012 would not have been believable.
Good show, excited to see how the Road to Wrestlemania goes down since that's usually the most fun part of a sim.

Alright, No Way Out. I marked out at Drew being on the poster! Push him to the main event! AJ winning the battle royal is cool since it sets up the eventual Kharma/AJ match for the championship. As fun as a 2 out of 3 falls match is, I'm not really a fan of it kicking off the show. I noticed everyone else who replied loved the decision for that to kick off the show but it just felt odd to me. Each to their own, I guess eh. Nonetheless, Sheamus going over is cool with me. The Real Americans winning the tag titles is awesome! I like Air Boom as a team but Cesaro and Swagger should be great tag champs. Big Show definitely doesn't need the Intercontinental Championship so I'm gappy to see Cody retain over him. I wonder if you'll have Cody become the longest reigning champ? Wade retaining was nice to see even if it was with thanks to Mark Henry. I wonder where you will go from here with that one. WOW, Jericho winning the submission match and making Cena tap out is one hell of a surprise but I think it's great. You're clearly going somewhere with it due to the post-match notes of a silence falling over the Izod Centre, etc. Looking forward to seeing what will happen with Cena following this. Haha, absolutely loved McIntyre taking a back seat and watching Kane and Ryder battle it out before he stole the win. Like I said already, push McIntyre! Kind of expected Ambrose to go over Orton but I do expect for him to get some retribution down the line. Ambrose is actually my pick to win the MITB briefcase. Punk/Bryan sounded like a stellar match. I loved the ending sequence with Punk pretty much nailing the GTS out of nowhere. Great stuff. Looking forward to Money in the Bank, Kev!

Amazing drama with Jericho tapping out Cena there Kev; as much as I'm not a fan of Cena even I didn't see that coming...
Great stuff...

June 18th, 2012 | Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York
Following the WWE signature, a recap airs with some highlights from No Way Out 24 hours earlier. No intro video is played this week as we cut straight to Executive Order making their way to the ring. John Laurinaitis, Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, David Otunga, Mark Henry and Eve Torres stroll to the ring after a successful night. The only one who didn’t have the night go their way was Eve, who lost in the Kick-Off Battle Royal. When they get in the ring, Laurinaitis introduces himself and welcomes the fans to tonight’s show. He speaks about last night, but leaves out Eve’s loss. “Wade Barrett proved once again why he is indeed the chosen World Heavyweight Champion of this company. Not only did he defeat that ungrateful Alberto Del Rio but he did so in convincing fashion.” Laurinaitis also brings up Drew McIntyre retaining his United States Championship against both Kane and Zack Ryder before moving to Mark Henry. He says that last night, Henry proved his worth during the World Heavyweight Title match. “You understood what the best thing for the company is when you took out Alberto Del Rio. As a reward, tonight, you will step into the ring with CM Punk and yes, the WWE Championship will indeed be on the line!” The crowd gives a mixed reaction to this, half not happy that Henry gets a shot, and half excited at the prospect of a title match. Henry and Laurinaitis shake hands before a familiar theme hits and the crowd goes nuts. “Time to Play the Game” is heard as Triple H comes out and the roof nearly comes off of the arena in Long Island. Michael Cole reminds us that we haven’t seen Triple H since he lost to CM Punk at Extreme Rules. He’s out in a suit and enters the ring as the cheers continue. He starts by saying that he’s sure everyone is wondering what he’s doing out here. “Well, after losing to CM Punk, I went back to working as the COO of the company. I realized that my days in the ring were numbered and decided that if I was going to be the COO, I was going to do it right and not the way it was last year.” John Laurinaitis interrupts to ask Triple H what this all means. Triple H smirks and continues, “I was getting to that Johnny. So, you know how you had that evaluation going? Yea, it was me evaluating you.” The crowd cheers at this information as Triple H declares that he’s come to a conclusion. “I’m mixed on this conclusion because on the one hand, you’ve done some good things. Raw and Smackdown have both been quality programs while the Pay-Per-Views have been really good. But, on the other hand, not only are you completely insufferable, but you’ve played favorites too much.” He mentions that Mark Henry got involved in a huge match last night and that’s not tolerable. “I won’t take away your title match tonight Mark but I do have some big news. Because you have gotten mixed reviews John, we’re going to take away some of your duties. You will no longer be running Monday Night Raw.” The crowd continues to pop for this news as Laurinaitis is in shock. “You will control Smackdown and I have been control of Raw. Not only that, but we are going to shake things up. So, at the historic 1000th episode of Raw, we will be holding the Raw 1000 Draft! The roster is up for grabs and you and I will draft to determine our rosters.” Commentary is at a loss for words at this historic opening segment tonight. Triple H heads off to a positive reaction from the fans.
Returning from Raw, a recap airs of the huge segment that just went down. Not only is Triple H back and running things, but at Raw 1000 on July 23rd, he and John Laurinaitis will conduct a draft as the WWE will be split in two again. Michael Cole informs everyone that more news will be available on the rules of the Draft over the coming week on wwe.com MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: ZACK RYDER DEF. DREW MCINTYRE
After the opening segment, the WWE Universe was buzzing and they got even hotter at the sight of their hometown boy, Zack Ryder. The former United States Champion came very close to winning back his belt last night, and had a chance to gain some revenge on the current champion here. Drew McIntyre was still reeling from the announcement at the top of the show and it may have cost him. Ryder was able to put him down with the Rough Ryder and the crowd went nuts. Zack Ryder quickly rolls out of the ring and celebrates with the WWE Universe. “He may not have the United States Title back, but Zack Ryder does have the first spot in this year’s WWE Championship Money in the Bank Ladder match” exclaims Michael Cole. Ryder fist pumps with the sold out crowd in Long Island while McIntyre looks on enraged. Triple H is shown walking backstage when he bumps into CM Punk. They stare each other down for a bit as fans recall their wars at WrestleMania and Extreme Rules. Triple H says that he’s not here for any beef. “I know that we’ve more than had our differences but I’m not here for any of that. Earlier this year you earned my respect and I’m here as the COO of this company to make things right.” Punk gives a chuckle and says that he’ll believe this when he sees it. He walks off as Triple H stares after him.
Returning from commercial, Drew McIntyre is shown entering Executive Order’s office and he is fuming. He complains about how unfair it was to have to face Zack Ryder when he has such a home field advantage. John Laurinaitis tells him to calm down and is going to give him another chance to qualify for Money in the Bank later tonight. In the arena, the new WWE Tag Team Champions are standing in the ring with Zeb Colter. Zeb begins by cutting a promo stating that last night was a victory for America. “Not only did two fine Real Americans win the Tag Team Titles, but all of the Real Americans in the crowd now have champions to be proud of.” He continues on about this until he’s interrupted by the theme of the Usos. They come to the stage with a microphone. This is kept short since they aren’t great on the stick but Jimmy claims that they’ve been on a bit of a winning streak and want a title shot. Zeb denies them but says they can take a beating from the Real Americans in a non-title match. NON-TITLE MATCH: THE USOS DEF. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE REAL AMERICANS W/ ZEB COLTER
The Usos continue to go out every chance they get and show that they are one of the best tag teams in wrestling. The Real Americans have been on a monster roll since their debut but ran into some trouble here. After an exciting back and forth bout, the Usos surprised many fans by winning after Jey splashed Jack Swagger. Jimmy and Jey stand to their feet and the fans go nuts for this surprise. Michael Cole points out that they have just pretty much secured a future title shot. Their celebration is cut short however, when a huge man jumps the guardrail and takes out Jey with a clothesline from behind. Jimmy swings at him but he ducks and nearly decapitates him with another clothesline. Zeb Colter enters the ring with a microphone, saying that he’s glad to have this man here. As the Real Americans get up and stand behind him, Zeb continues on the microphone. “Ladies and gentlemen, I had a feeling that some trash of the WWE may have attempted something tonight and I was right. These Samoans decided to put their nose where it doesn’t belong and I made sure to have another Real American waiting in the wings. I would like to introduce you to our fellow Real American, Ryback.” Jack Swagger, Zeb Colter, Antonio Cesaro and Ryback all place their right hand over their hearts and shout “WE THE PEOPLE!” A graphic appears to inform us that John Cena will be addressing the WWE Universe after doing something nobody expected last night; tapping out. A promo airs for this Friday’s Smackdown. Coming off the heels of a huge Steel Cage match, Wade Barrett retained the World Heavyweight Championship. However, it may in jeopardy soon because Money in the Bank is around the corner. Daniel Bryan faces the Big Show in a Qualifying match for the ages. KHARMA AND WADE BARRETT DEF. AJ LEE AND ALBERTO DEL RIO
An Intergender tag team match that the crowd loved was our featured first hour bout. AJ Lee and Kharma had interesting interactions, which built towards their upcoming Divas Championship match. AJ surprisingly attacked Kharma at every chance, despite the size disadvantage. She may be crazier than we think. Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett continued to have their now trademark stuff. The finish comes as AJ and Kharma are legal and AJ has actually tripped up the Divas Champion. However, Daniel Bryan strolls to ringside and begins to shout at AJ. This distraction allows Kharma to hit her with a vicious backhand and pin her upcoming challenger. The audience boos as Kharma stands over AJ Lee while Daniel Bryan looks on with a sly smile. On the outside, Wade Barrett cold clocks Alberto Del Rio with the World Title as we cut away. John Cena is shown walking towards the arena because he will address the WWE Universe next!
Returning, AJ Lee catches up with Daniel Bryan and demands to know what all of that was just about. Bryan complains that at WrestleMania, she gave him a good luck kiss and he lost the World Title. Last night, she also gave him a good luck kiss out of the blue and he lost his shot at the WWE Title. He blames her for his struggles and says that if he can’t be a Champion then neither should AJ because she’s worthless. He storms off, leaving AJ on the verge of tears. Kaitlyn comes up to her to comfort her. She tells her not to worry about what Bryan says because he’s just a goat faced jerk. She tells AJ not to act crazy, which seems to set something off in AJ, who gives her a funny look before slapping her. When she realizes what she’s done, she runs off as Kaitlyn looks on confused and upset. The theme of John Cena plays as he walks to the ring in a somber mood. Still pictures are shown from his Submission Match against Chris Jericho in which he tapped out. It marked the third straight Pay-Per-View where he lost to Chris Jericho, and his fourth straight PPV loss dating back to the Rock at WrestleMania. As he gets in the ring, he looks around before speaking. “I’m sorry. I came out here tonight with one intention and that was to apologize to each and every one of you. I come out here on a nightly basis and preach Hustle, Loyalty and Respect and I constantly say Never Give Up. Last night however, I did just that. I gave up. Chris Jericho put me in more pain than I can ever remember being in and I didn’t pass out from the pain in a valiant effort and I didn’t reverse it. I just gave up. For that, I am truly sorry. The man who came back to the WWE to destroy the thing that I love most, has beaten me. Three times in a row. I can’t even blame my loss to the Rock at WrestleMania because, I lost to Kane at the Royal Rumble. 2012 has been the worst year of my career and I believe I hit bottom last night. I gave up in front of you guys.” Some fans show sympathy for Cena but some start a “You tapped out” chant. That chant grows until it’s easily heard and it’s clear that it drains Cena. He continues to looks distressed before taking a big, deep breath and continuing. “Now that I’ve reached the bottom, it’s time for me to start rising back up. Next week, I have a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match for the first time in my career. Next week, I win that match and begin my rise back to the WWE Championship.” Cena drops the microphone and storms off, but it’s clear he’s a different Cena than we’re used to. A promo is shown for Raw 1000! On July 23rd, 2012, the historic 1000th episode of Monday Night Raw will not only feature The Rock but as we were informed of earlier tonight, it will also have the Raw 1000 Draft between Triple H and John Laurinaitis!
An NXT promo is shown for this week’s episode, featuring the Semi-Finals of the NXT Championship Tournament. Damien Sandow meets Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins takes on the unstoppable Big E Langston!
Returning, Drew McIntyre is in the ring with a microphone. He furiously calls out the person that John Laurinaitis has chosen to have him face in his second Money in the Bank Qualifying match. It turns out to be Hornswoggle, who walks to the ring incredibly sad. MONEY IN THE BANK QUALIFYING MATCH: DREW MCTINYRE DEF. HORNSWOGGLE
Just as you would expect, this is one sided abuse. Drew McIntyre kicks Hornswoggle in the face and covers but he kicks out. That just angered McIntyre who went to his knees and delivered the Future Shock to advance. Drew McIntyre stands in the ring in victory as he is showered with the crowd’s negative response. That turns to cheers however when Triple H’s music hit again. He walks to the ring with a purpose as John Laurinaitis, David Otunga and Mark Henry follow closely. Laurinaitis tries to reason with him before he gets on the microphone. Triple H says that this is exactly why Laurinaitis can’t be in full control anymore. “You give your buddies here unfair advantages like this. You aren’t out of power here until Raw 1000, so I won’t reverse this decision but this is the kind of thing that will not happen when I take control.” He tells David Otunga that because of this McIntyre/Hornswoggle match, his qualifying match will be against John Cena next week. Mark Henry gets in his face and Laurinaitis tries to hold him back. Triple H tells him to calm his man down and goes to check on Hornswoggle. This opening allows Mark Henry to level Hunter in the back. He plants the COO with the World’s Strongest Slam! Laurinaitis and Otunga are horrified at what they’re seeing. Henry picks him up and does it again before tossing him outside. Henry clears off the announce table and hits a third through it! Officials come out to break this up. What has Mark Henry done?
A vignette airs of the Miz and his bodyguard Mason Ryan. Miz claims that he is a tough man but now that people will pay him handsomely for the "money maker", he needs to protect it and that's what Mason will do better than anyone. "I will be back next week and I will qualify for Money in the Bank. It is my right to be the WWE Champion once again. Because I'm the Miz...and I'm...a star." Returning, a recap airs of what Mark Henry just did to the COO of this company. Backstage, Triple H is shown getting medical treatment and needing to be taken away in an ambulance. Cutting back to the ring, Henry is standing in the middle, watching his handy work on the Titantron. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: CM PUNK [C] DEF. MARK HENRY VIA COUNTOUT
CM Punk did a great job of portraying his caution when stepping into the ring with a guy who just brutalized the COO of this company. Mark Henry continued to be an aggressive monster and just pounded away on Punk. Punk, just 24 hours removed from a grueling title defense, was on the receiving end of punishment for a while here. He began to make a rally and hit his trademark moves. He went up top for the elbow, but Henry knocked him off and he fell onto the referee. Alberto Del Rio walked to the ring with clear intentions to get his hands on Henry. They began to do battle in the ring before things spilled outside. The referee and Punk got up as Punk watched his opponent and Del Rio fight up the ramp and to the back. The referee counted to ten and Punk gets to retain. CM Punk is handed the WWE Title and gives a bit of a shrug as he is declared the winner. He raises the title in the air as the fans cheer for him. Suddenly, the lights in the arena go completely out. When they come back on, Chris Jericho is behind CM Punk with his hoodie up. He turns Punk around and hits the Codebreaker. “This is the same way that Jericho made his return at the start of the year!” shouts Michael Cole. Jericho picks up the WWE Title and stares at it blankly as the show comes to a close. Trending Topics: #TripleH #Raw1000 #MarkHenry #WWETitle #Ryback

Time for the post-No Way Out Raw. A draft on Raw 1000? I'm not sure how I feel about that as it's more of a celebration than it is a regular show. But that's just me. Mark Henry is clearly not leaving as WWE Champion tonight. Shocked to see Zack Ryder qualify for Money in the Bank over Drew McIntyre. Did not expect that. Ah I see, he's getting a second chance. A big win for The Usos here over the WWE Tag Team Champions, but a confusing turn of events with Ryback joining the Real Americans. Not sure if it really fits but I'll give it a chance. A big mixed tag team match, as I've said before, I can't see Kharma being realistically beaten, especially by AJ Lee. It would have been pretty cool to see Kharma pin Del Rio tbh. Heart-felt promo from John Cena here, and I like that he's getting the chance to enter the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and I'm positive he'll get in. Not sure if you'll have him win like in real life but I wouldn't be opposed to it. It's the perfect way to get Cena back on top after his abysmal year. Typical heel move here, McIntyre qualifying over Hornswoggle. Triple H drawing the line makes sense, and obviously Cena will beat Otunga next week. Mark Henry assaults Triple H? I like it. Could we see The Game step back in the ring with the World's Strongest Man? As expected, CM Punk retains his title. Chris Jericho strikes and makes it clear he wants a title shot. I wouldn't mind seeing Jericho take the title tbh.

WWE RAW Supershow: Monday 18th June 2012…Say, why isn’t CM Punk on the poster for Money in the Bank? Could the superstars used on that poster be the main event for Money in the Bank? If so, that’s a bit of a spoiler. John Laurinaitis leading his coalition to the ring was a decent start to the show, as he bigged up their wins at last night’s No Way Out event. Triple H’s interruption was good, I like that he is still working as the COO – please don’t do what everybody else has done and eventually have Triple H turn heel and lead an Authority of his own. A Draft per se? Hmm, I like the sound of that. It shows that the brand split is still a thing, although it could be firmer with you eliminating ‘RAW Supershow’ from the title. So, is Laurinaitis running SmackDown as well or is Triple H heading the blue brand? That may need establishing. Zack Ryder entering the Money in the Bank match is a surprise, and I like the sound of that. Drew McIntyre losing made sense, as other members of Laurinaitis’ consortium can enter the ladder match. I don’t see Ryder getting the briefcase, but it’ll be a fun ride still nonetheless. Triple H and CM Punk’s interaction was nice yet minimal. Something is building here. The Usos with a win against the Real Americans – I’m not fond of that one. It’s something I really dislike as the new WWE Tag Team Champions are made to look like chumps for the sake of making a challenging team look convincing: and it’s a practice WWE has overused so much in 2014 that it’s become comical. Additionally, in 2012 I don’t think Jimmy and Jey Uso are at a level where they can lead the tag team division: their formula for matches were all the same. Zeb Colter addressing them was a nice touch, however. Kharma and Wade Barrett – that’s a weird pairing if I ever saw one. Good win for them against Alberto Del Rio and AJ Lee, made purely to build on two storylines. We’ll be seeing more Barrett and Del Rio I’m assuming. Daniel Bryan telling AJ Lee not to be crazy was fun to read: maybe the origins of her character here. It’s well needed, as AJ was plain before this. John Cena’s promo was decent, as we continue to see the weakening seams of Cena as a character. His redemption year will come in 2013 – although maybe give him a sympathy win at SummerSlam. I do think that Cena’s Money in the Bank qualifying match should have come tonight though. That must have been a tease for the live crowd. Drew McIntyre defeating Hornswoggle was amusing – that is classic John Laurinaitis and I dig it. David Otunga opposing Cena next week isn’t a money match and I don’t understand the advance booking promotion of this match – it will give Cena a needed win to give him a reason to keep on going, but it isn’t a strong match to hold up RAW. Mark Henry taking out Triple H to the shock of John Laurinaitis was real nice: I don’t think Hunter and Henry have ever faced off before. I wouldn’t mind seeing them compete at either Money in the Bank or SummerSlam. Nice vignette with the Miz and Mason Ryan to remind us about him: I’m not fond of the advance booking but I understand that you don’t have enough time to showcase everybody on one show. It’s just a slow process to make the RAW ladder match in time that you may not have much of. CM Punk defending the WWE Championship against Mark Henry was a fun main event – it’s been Mark Henry’s night, so it seems. I may have had Mark’s prior attack of Triple H take place earlier in the show to break up Mark’s appearances, though. Oh wow, so now we’re getting Chris Jericho challenging Punk for the WWE Championship: I wonder if Jericho will be the one to end the reign? Unless you’re en route to taking CM Punk on the 434 days as WWE Champion. Overall, this was a strong show coming out of No Way Out – let’s see that momentum continue from here on out.

Alright, here we go with the Raw Supershow. Ooh, Mark Henry gets a WWE Championship match tonight, eh? Too bad Punk will beat him. A huge announcement with the interruption of Triple H, making the announcing of a draft on Raw 1000! Interested to see how you split things up, should be interesting. Feels a bit odd, though, just a few months after Big Johnny just got both GM spots from Teddy Long at WrestleMania. Zack Ryder getting some revenge for last night by beating Drew McIntyre to get in to the Money in the Bank was good for him, certainly makes it interesting as to what Drew will do. Maybe face Kane one on one? We'll see. Interesting little bit there with HHH/Punk. Foreshadowing, maybe!? Probably not. They already did their stuff. The Usos beat The Real Americans just as they won the belts? Meh. Whoa, what the hell? Ryback is a Real American now? That's... strange. We'll have to wait and see what comes of it, though. Kharma and Wade Barrett! AHAHAHAHA. For once, Barrett isn't the big threat! The right call with Karma getting the pin for sure though. I don't expect AJ to get any type of win over Kharma until they actually meet. Damn it, Daniel Bryan. Why are you being such a dick? Are you banging Kharma now!? WHAT THE HELL, MAN!? That'd be in' hilarious, though. John Cena is targeting the Money in the Bank now and I expect he'll get in. I see him losing at the last minute, though. Poor Cena. Tap out bitch. And not the sponsor, either. Haha, abusive authority of John Laurinaitis letting McIntyre get another qualifying match to beat up Hornswoggle. Well, damn, I'll take it. It puts him in the match which is best. WHAT THE HELL MARK HENRY? YOU JUST ATTACKED TRIPLE H YOU SON OF A BITCH! WHAT THE HELL! Now, he gets to face CM Punk and he loses by count out thanks to the mess going down. Whoa, wait. Chris Jericho attacking CM Punk? He wants the WWE Championship! I actually favor this, to be honest, rather than how they were just thrown in to the match at WrestleMania. You actually gave Jericho some credible build up over the first half of the year. Not that he wasn't credible already, but you get it. A good start to the road to MITB with this edition of Raw Supershow. That sounds so weird to say now. Raw Supershow.

Ha, forgot about "Raw Supershow". Brand split is interesting...it's probably easier from a diary perspective. Ryder qualifying in LI is a nice touch, and glad he's getting some respect here. Uso's match was whatever (as most of their matches lol). I liked the mix tag match a lot, especially with Bryan/AJ interaction. At least you're taking the Cena "I'm in a slump" approach. Ha, funny thing there with McIntyre after he was complaining. Nice touch. I assume he'll get a main event push on Big Johnny's show. Fine ending to Raw; I'm fine with a countout win since it was a title match. Solid show. Looking forward to how the draft plays out.

Specifically choosing to reply at this time because THIS IS MY 10,000TH POST! I DID IT, BIG KEV! WE GOT MATCHING BLUE STARS NOW!
lol Eve was the only one who didn't have a successful No Way Out. Mark Henry getting a WWE Championship match tonight? I dig it. He has no chance at winning, but it will make for a nice main event. I recall he and CM Punk having a great match in England around this time. The 1000th episode of RAW being dedicated to the Draft is fine to some extent, but I do believe that it should just be a special episode on its own. Nonetheless, the idea of splitting the brands into two again is exciting. Should definitely shake things up. I'm just glad that John Laurinaitis will still be in power for the foreseeable future. I wish I could still have him in a regular role. Zack Ryder defeating Drew McIntyre in a Money in the Bank qualifying match is VERY shocking in my mind. It's nice to see Ryder get such a huge opportunity, though. Maybe McIntyre gets another opportunity down the line die to him being a member of Executive Order? The segment with CM Punk and Triple H leads me to believe that Punk will be the first draft pick for RAW. I know that there wasn't really anything here to allude to that, but it's just the feeling that I got. As predicted, McIntyre will be getting another chance to qualify. Didn't this happen in reality for the WrestleMania 26 Money in the Bank Ladder Match? HOLY SH*T DANCE GAVIN DANCE JUST RELEASED A NEW SONG! Give me a minute, please. Alright, I had my minute. The Real Americans vs. The Usos. Heh, I just wrapped up that program in my diary. Well, with Shelton Benjamin instead of Antonio Cesaro, but whatevs. You get my point. Whoa, another shocking result. Caught off guard by The Usos' victory. I admire you building them up as (seemingly) the next challengers for the WWE Tag Team Championships, but it hinders The Real Americans a bit. Unless I missed something, and I apologize if I did, where is AirBoom? How come they didn't get an immediate rematch? Oh well. Hey! It's Ryback! I have trouble figuring out how he fits into The Real Americans, but I do like the decision to have them become a stable rather than just a team. Can we call him DA BIG AMERICAN? Please? Quite a good Mixed Tag Team Match to round out the first hour here. Both teams sound great, though I'm happy to see the much more dominant duo of Wade Barrett and Kharma get the victory. Interesting that it came as a result of involvement from Daniel Bryan. I loved Bryan and AJ's dynamic in real life. There's the 'craziness' of AJ that I love! I know that some people disliked the time in which she was a focus of the program, but I loved the 'Summer of AJ.' I'm very excited to see what you do with her going forward. Kaitlyn being involved is always nice. A good promo from John Cena to discuss the abysmal 2012 that he's had thus far. I know that WWE tried to do this in real life, but what you've done with him is MUCH better. You actually made Cena come off as sympathetic here. I do expect him to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, though him winning is a bit questionable. lol, Drew McIntyre got Hornswoggle for a qualifying match. I liked it, though. Shows that even with Big Johnny losing a portion of his power in the future, he still plays favorites. He'll definitely be drafting McIntyre. Oh, sh*t! World's Strongest Slam! Intrigued to see where this goes from here. Maybe Triple H vs. Mark Hery at SummerSlam? Or am I jumping too far ahead? Miz is back next week. Yay......I guess. When is Miz is good, he's really good. When he's bad, he's really bad. Lastly, an interesting decision to have the WWE Championship main event end via count out. I don't mind it, though. Especially since it further builds to a feud between Henry and Del Rio that I would have loved to see. Chris Jericho! Only fitting that he moves on to a WWE Championship program after defeating John Cena on three consecutive occasions. Jericho vs. Punk is a huge money feud with the way that you've handled both of their characters. Much more excited to see this here than I was in real life. A great RAW overall coming off of No Way Out. With Money in the Bank and RAW 1000 on the horizon, this is certainly an exciting time for this diary.

- CM Punk vs Chris Jericho, Best in the World vs Best in the World at Everything that He Does, the seeds have been planted for this feud especially now that Jericho has more or less attacked Punk even after he just competed in a gruelling match against Mark Henry defending his WWE Championship and retaining via countout, it was only a matter of time before Jericho would target Punk and now that he has, you have yourself a new feud
- No doubt in my mind that Big Johnny he set up that attack on Triple H with Henry attacking the COO of this company especially in that way, you know Big Johnny is definitely behind that
- Cena has been on a downward spiral ever since losing to The Rock at WrestleMania 28 but even more so Cena he tapped out to Jericho and not only that but has lost time and time again against Jericho, but now that all of that is a line in the sand, Cena is now setting himself up to begin his rise again by entering the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but I wonder if he can even do it? Cena is not and has not been the same since losing to The Rock and honestly I think Cena's downward spiral continues at Money in the Bank
- Miz throwing his name into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match as well, I just had a feeling he would
- But a RAW 1000 draft, brand split between RAW and Smackdown I actually think that's a great idea in my opinion if you ask me, a draft lottery this reminds me of the First Ever WWE Draft in 2002 with Vince and Flair drafting superstars to their respective shows
