I still wish they'd gone with the WM200 tights. Just for notice, he wore that attire pretty much from August 1999 - May 2001. Seeing the in-hand pictures of the figure has made me appreciate it for being a well made piece, but, yeah. Anyway, some nice research you did here.
EDIT: Also, is it just me, or does he look as fat as his 2005-2006 days? I always thought he was pretty big during this time, and then got cut and ripped over the course of the year. Never knew he had a beer gut a mere 6 months before he trimmed it into a 6 pack LOL

It seems the WWF presented two PPVs in 1999 with the "No Mercy" moniker; the first one being in May 1999 and a UK exclusive PPV, the second one being in October. The match you mentioned was from the October event, however, as the UK version of the show had Austin defending the WWF Title against both Hunter and Taker in a triple threat. The more you know, I guess LOL.

Good detective work! Mattel did a good job on everything but the attire choice. I knew he didn't wear it that much - and that it was more of a Corporation attire than a DX attire. Should've been green/black, red/black or blue/black from this time period (I know it was supposed to be WM themed, but it really doesn't matter).
I have that old Jakks pre-RealScan figure of him in the short trunks of this silver attire. He barely ever wore it, so it was kinda cool to get it in figure form. He went through a few experiments with black/silver before going into the now definitive hHh trunks. It was cool to see him evolve in '99.

got the e23 figure today. I meant.....this is what the attire was based off of.
In hand....the colors are completely wrong. Instead of silver w/ white trim.
Its midnite blue w/ silver trim

Surely someone will do some leg swaps to make the trunks style HHH.

Wait, I'm confused. After seeing the pictures at SDCC, you still thought the figure was going to be silver and white like in the first picture? I thought after SDCC, it was clear that the colors where a dark blue/green. Kinda like Mattel's version of this BCA figure?

I know camera flashes can distort certain colors. but in-hand....it looks exactly like the pics. Which is disappointing, because the hair and torso are perfect. But the tights being the wrong color (and a color combo that he never wore) mixed with the fact that the black tights are painted on bare HHH e2/7 legs really drags the figure down.

I don't have an issue with the legs being painted to be tights, because they don't have long tights legs that would be the right size. The Taker/Kane legs are too thick/big and the legs used for all the "normal" sized guys are too thin for Triple H. And in hand they don't look bad. As for the colors it looks like they matched the WMXV colors nicely. That first pic you posted for Trips and Chyna at WM look like the figure's attire colors.

I'm in the camp of 'at least we got it'. Seeing everybody's pics has made this the must have for me. Macho Man just looks a little off, and Cesaro, while cool looking, seems like a consolation prize in a set full of highly demanded flashbacks.

True the accessories are from the invasion and not WM, but the attire (minus the shirt) is WMXV which was the theme of the FBs in e23. So it was his last day of DX. And I'd bet he wore them before WMXV as well. And while the WMXV tights were my favorite long tights choices of the 3 WM's it was going to be based off...I had said if it was going to be in long tights I wish it was WMXIII with his green robe or WMXIV with the black robe. But that didn't happen...hell, I just wish they gave him either of those two robes instead of the accessories they did give him.
