So I get right now they got a lot of tag teams happening in the WWE. Which is nice for a change. From 3MB, The Uso's, Tons Of Funk, The Prime Time Players, The Real Americans, The Wyatt Family, and of course the tag champions, The Shield. Yet, for some reason, Big Show can say "Mark Henry and I are gonna go for the Tag Titles" and my guess is, at Night Of Champions they will.
Now, why.. why... why does the WWE do this?? They have actual credible tag teams, but no, they rather have two main event guys tag up and (probably) beat The Shield for the Tag Titles.
Now six months ago, we had a lot of great teams still happening, and Kane and Daniel Bryan were the Tag Champions and they were two main event guys put together.
So does this bother anyone else??
How these tag teams just seem to stall in mid card status, while two main event guys can get put together and get a tag title shot on a ppv, and got a good chance at winning them too.

Sadly I feel WWE fails to build up superstars, constantly relying on established ones. Which ironically was a critique of WCW and look how well things went for them.

I agree with you; it is pretty sad seeing them be paired up. They'll most likely win the titles too, which is even more sad. I take two main eventers over Los Matadores (Primo & Epico) anyday. That's only one tag team though. |

Big Show and Mark Henry beat The Shield in a six-man on Smackdown, and haven't lost to them yet. Most of the other tag teams have lost a million times to The Shield and/or each other. Perhaps the Prime Times are being built as a big babyface tag team, but they're at least a few months away from being credible. Big Show and Henry are instantly credible.

It seems like Henry/Show vs the Shield is more or less to advance with the major storyline, not to take away from other teams. Remember, belts are basically props for feuds.

I'm pretty sure the PTP are already a babyface tag team. I thought they got pretty over tonight, they got somewhat of a pop. I could be wrong about the babyface part. |

I take two main eventers over Los Matadores (Primo & Epico) anyday. lol I've heard Carlito talk in an interview with Konnan about WWE's lack of knowledge/sensitivity regarding the hispanic/latino community but that new gimmick takes the cake Apparently bull fighting does have some history in Puerto Rico, but it's not the first place I'd connect to it....bull fighting isn't even legal there anymore |

I though Team Hell No was amazing. They are easily one of the best things to happen to the tag division in years. I think the Big Show and Henry could be a good think if they job to The Shield, which I think they will. It only makes The Shield look better. Then when another team finally takes the titles from them, assuming they are a full time team, then that team looks better by proxy. |

Henry and Big Show are being fed to the Shield just like the Usos were not that long ago. It's a way to continue to make the Shield look good and give Henry and Show something to do. I don't know what the big deal is until they actually win something. Big Show taking that powerbomb tonight made them look great. I don't like Big Show personally, we've seen everything there is to see of him and he bores me to tears, but his size still resonates with a large portion of the audience and WWE can use that to make guys look good, including the Shield.

One of the teams you mentioned most likely will dethrone Shield. Henry and Show won't, they're just another notch on Shields belt. Better for Show/Henry to lose and put over Shield then to have the team that will eventually beat them continue in losing efforts against Shield.

Because Big Show & Henry vs the Shield is the most compelling matchup. I'd rather have that than see any other team be squashed at Night of Champions. Two former Heavyweight champs is a far bigger obstacle than a pair of matadors...

There is not one team that impresses me these days. Sucks because I always was a fan of tag teams but none of these guys can match up to Hart Foundation, Road Warriors, Demolition, Harlem Heat, Nasty Boys, Rockers, etc.. The list goes on forever. They need to start making these guys stick together longer and become more recognized as a team. A good start would be matching attire that really stands out.

ive read that vince hates tag teams. he sees no storyline potential and i dont think he sees alot of merchandising opportunities in the tag division, so they either make cheesy gimmicky tags or they just pair two main eventers together to try to get some attention to the division.

It all doesn't really matter....if Big Show and Henry team, they'll be the only ones besides the shield that get any mic time or a purpose....3mb only cares about being a fake rock band and playing air guitar, tons of funk only care about dancing, prime time players only care about showboating and the real Americans only care about preaching propaganda-The Usos were the only really hot serious team and now it looks like they might be back to being buried on main event....basically they're all comedy teams with no real substance. not one of them gets to cut a promo about wanting the tag titles or claiming they're the best team or they should be the #1 contenders.....the whole tag division is basically send in the clowns time with maybe one serious team at a time.

I have more of an issue with Big Show always being in makeshift tag teams. Not really a fan of his, but it seems like anytime he's in a tag team, he's given a pointless tag title push.
