Just thought I would make a good first post with a poll and to say hi as Im a lifetime WWF fan from the 70s and 80s and 90s and Attitude era and I think nothing was better .
My Favorite Tag Team was The Dream Team a short but sweet run as I didn't care for the split and the whole Barber and Blues think but it was still ok and could anything beat the Ugandan Giant coming to the ring or even the Classic Taker with the Bells tolling , I can go on and on .
I'm getting Old but still play the nets on Ice 4 days a week against College kids and man they can blast which I love which brings me back to wrestling as theres little better entertainment but I cant stand the current stuff and trying to compare it to what we had in the Golden era is impossible as theres No Hulks , Macho Man , Warrior , Bundys , Studds or even a Iron Mike Sharpe Canada's greatest Athlete and after just purchasing SNME the complete set and the Big Event wow was that stuff great or what ?
Seeing Yoko and Earthquake squashing guys nearly brought a tear to my eye and so much more BUT seeing THE JAKKS WM2 BLUE STEEL CAGE RING wants me to start collecting against so if anyone has new or display only one for sale at a fair price for both shoot me a PM .
Now back to the poll WHAT company and why if you feel like explaining made the best figures overall even if just one series as I think the LJN are classic but limited , display only type thing and near impossible to collect mint unless you have $800 for some but great roster variety and Hasbro is interesting with a great lineup also but very cartoony but they were for kids right
Jakks is my personal favorite for many reasons even with some shortcomings but most faces are dead though bodies can be mis proportioned and great depth in rosters and specialties like Tag teams and 3 packs to build a collection and what series ever gave us Scary Sherri and the Fabulous Moolah now thats deep !
Mattel Kind let me down and now with most of their Legend line shut down will we ever get lesser known wrestlers like Jakks gave us ? I also dont like all the articulation on there legends figures but guys like Rude , Mr Wonderful and Steamboat look great accept when you take off the robe and all those moving parts IMO really take away from the piece though ones like Brett Hart Elite I think Summer slam version and Savage WM without all the articulation look as good or better than any Jakks ! But once again depth of a roster will handicap this series .
