Oh man, what a anniversary. Both good songs, but seriously? Lol. A real anniversary is yesterday was the release date of Biz Markie's album "I Need A Haircut" in 1991 where Biz and Cold Chillinwas sued from Gilbert Sullivan from sampling him in his track "Alone Again" from then on producers had to get clearance for all samples they used. There's something that changed history.
I mean those are two amazing tracks, but c'mon man, lol.

I wonder if MC Ren got involved if he would've actually been more well known?

Love that diss track, though Eazy E responding to this would of been good:

This is my favorite diss track right here.
When the sugarhill gang made the "first" also "rap" song called Rapper's Delight. One member Big Bank Hank was currently the manager of a crew called the Casanova crew. Which Grandmaser Caz was a part of the crew at the time going by Casanova fly. A record company found big hank lipsyncing while working in his pizza shop and they brought him outside to audition, he decided to use Caz's rhymes to try out, they picked him. He ditched the crew in the dust and used Caz's rhymes in the rappers delight, easily noticed by the line Big Hank says "I'm the C-A-S-A-N-O-V-A and the rest is F-L-Y." Caz hasn't gotten a penny from that song since. He responded with this song.
That's why you can see a lot of people hating on the sugarhill gang because of the crap Big Hank did. Sugarpoop

No one will ever be able to touch the quality of that eras rap music. Its just so god damn good. So so damn good. I can't even find words to describe how amazing Eazy E and Dr Dre were back then. Their feud brought out the best in eachother. The amount of change that has taken place in hip hop over the past 20 years is discusting. I can't listen to ANY of todays rap besides Em and Kanye. NONE of it appeals to me and its all recycled trash.
