So, I have a friend in Akron, ohio. I met him on PS3 (sad I know but idc) about 4 years ago and we have become literally best friends. I've got to know his family so well that they have literally become my family as well and so it consists off a single mother raising a 18 year old boy (my friend I originally met), 19 year old boy and a 22 year old girl. They have moved all over the state of Ohio due to problems with rent and they are living skint and they have just moved into their 4th house in 2 years. Well they have another brother who was 24 but he stole the car from them and has threatened to sue the mother and get her arrested so they have no car and have to bus it everywhere. So they had a horrible christmas last year and so as you gamers know cod ghosts is coming out in November. But they are getting a PS4 which they literally have saved up for a long time and took it out of funds for a new car and has left them with no money. So they couldn't afford a PS4 version of ghosts and I just felt so sorry for them as they have no games to play on it and as it comes out near Christmas and its a game they have played with me for 4 years straight and so I decided to surprise them and I sent them money for a copy of ghosts for them and some money for Christmas gifts to buy, I wanted them to have a good christmas time and it just felt good giving them the money. I could of used that money for the new BAF Heyman which comes out in September and are £25 each, or I could of bought a new pair of freerunners but I just felt the need for it and let other people experience christmas without stress or anything. The feeling of giving and sharing is the best feeling I've had in a while and knowing they will have a good christmas makes me feel so good. Just help your friends and fellow family out guys, it feels so good and help people who aren't as privileged as some of us our on here Just thought I would share.

If they need a car they shouldn't get a PS4.

If they need a car they shouldn't get a PS4. You ask them, they seem to be use to taking buses.

Sounds like their problems are their own doing. I am all for helping the less fortunate, but only if they want to help themselves first.

Whoa, pump the mother ing brakes......"raising" a 18, 19 and 22 year old and they have problems with rent and finances? Tell those mother ers to get a damn job and chip in on the bills if they're going to be living at home. You've got 4 people (including the mother) who could be putting household income into their home. On top of that if 4 people cant pay rent and bills then they sure as dont need to be buying $400 video game systems and you sure as hell dont need to be buying them squat. Sounds like a bunch of dead beat lazy ass bums to me.

Have you ever met them/video chat with them so you know who your talking to is really who they say they are? You did a great thing but for all you know he could be a single guy who has a job and his own place and your just giving him money. Sounds very odd that they can buy a PS4 even with there financial problems.

Your heart is in the right place. If I have it, I always give money to the needy. My wife often asks me, "How do you know that they aren't going to use that money for beer or something?" My response is always, "I don't care what they do with the money after I give it to them. If they lied, that's on them. At least I know if they needed the money to eat, they won't be hungry."

If they need a car they shouldn't get a PS4. That was my first thought as well...

A lot of people have really weird priorities these days. What good does a new game system (at launch price!!) do you if you cant even afford a place to live?
