Also, Shawn Michaels has said publicly that he tried to get out of his WWE contract and go to WCW when Hall and Nash left. Source? I've only ever seen him deny that rumour. What are you doing? Following me around the boards and arguing with EVERY post I make? I really hope that you find something better to do before tomorrow. I read it, in his book I believe. He was unhappy with his spot in WWE at the time and wanted to follow Hall and Nash to WCW, but Vince talked him out of it. He says that he is glad he stayed.

Michaels DID want to go to WCW to be with is buddies, and asked Vince to release him from his contract...
in 1997. in the summer of 1996,he was the WWF Champion, the #1 guy in the promotion, and had a huge contract. he wasn't going anywhere.

Nothing could have made the nWo birth better. Hogan was the right man.

I don't think it would have made as much as an impact if it were Sting and not Hogan IMO.

I don't think it would of worked out long term. Nash said it best in regards to Hogan about joining: the money train was leaving the station but he knew he could catch up to it.
