*First off, not sure if this is allowed, if not obviously just delete it or ever just take away the video* (take away the *'s) Yeah, here's a video of Jim Cornette fantasy booking The Invasion angle from 2001; still only about 2 thirds into it but from what I've watched, frankly I really like some of it, but some of it does seem a little too out there. The pacing however is spot-on.

I've seen this and really like it. Some people aren't a fan of the implied "kayfabe" breaking that would be happening between WCW and WWF, but by the time the Invasion rolled around, most fans were completely aware that wrestling was a work. So, in that regard, I think it fits the scenario. The one detail he seems to forget about through this whole shoot is the Undertaker was the biker at this time. From the hypothetical promos Cornette comes up with, it seems like he was assuming Undertaker was essentially the Deadman/Lord of Darkness version many people knew from before/after that run.
Otherwise, though, I'd say all the pieces fit and we would have had two good wrestling shows, with people getting the best of both worlds instead of the complete burial of WCW. Even at the time, I wasn't a WCW fan, but if I thought a Raw guy might show up on Nitro, I'd watch it every week.

anything would have been better than what we got!!looking back Vince really squandered a huge chance to make a lot of cash.
