This is what I heard through Facebook:
"In the latest installment of The Steve Austin Show, Jerry “The King” Lawler discussed his heart attack that he suffered on last year's episode of Raw. Lawler had wrestled in a tag match earlier that night where he teamed with Randy Orton and faced CM Punk and Dolph Zigger. Lawler mentioned that the series of elbows from Ziggler during that match were a “partial cause” of his attack."
Thoughts?

The "partial cause" of his heart attack is that the guy is 63.
Lawler can't blame anyone but himself for the Heart Attack, a 63 year old men should not be taking bumps and wrestling. For him to blame Ziggler is 1. funny and 2. unfair.

How can elbows to the chest contribute to a heart attack?
I'm no Dr but heart attacks are blockages that stop blood reaching the heart. And with fat deposits blocking the arteries.
It could disrupt the rhythm of the heart that can cause cardiac arrest.

So the 60+ year old man is supposed to blame a super athletic man of half his age? Just silly if you ask me

Do you know nothing of the human anatomy?
OF COURSE blows to the chest can cause heart stoppage. Especially considering the fact that he didn't have a "heart attack", but went into sudden cardiac arrest, which is caused by an electrical disturbance of the heart (which a hit can do) that disrupts the pumping of the heart, and blood flow.

If this is true why is he just now saying anything about it?

This is silly, but it also doesn't mean anything for Ziggler either.
Anyone at WWE will know how daft this is. If anyone was giving him that elbow-drop-after-elbow-drop sequence Dolph does, it would have aggravated his heart because he's too old to be doing things like that. If I had been giving him those elbows he would have had the same problem and I'm 5'11" and 175lbs.
It's not Dolph Ziggler's problem. King shouldn't have been in the ring, simple as that.

To be fair in this interview he's not blaming Ziggler and he bigs him up as one of the best young talents. He said his doctor told him afterwards that the 10 elbows had made his heart go out of rhythm which coupled with a few other things caused it.

If you can't handle minor elbow bumps then stay out of the ring.

Here is the full article:
In the latest installment of The Steve Austin Show, Jerry “The King” Lawler discussed his heart attack that he suffered on last year’s episode of Raw. Lawler had wrestled in a tag match earlier that night where he teamed with Randy Orton and faced CM Punk and Dolph Zigger. Lawler mentioned that the series of elbows from Ziggler during that match were a “partial cause” of his attack.
Ziggler did a spot where he dropped ten straight elbows on Lawler’s chest. Lawler said that Ziggler was landing with all of his weight, and he remembered thinking, “jeez, this guy’s trying to kill me.”
“Honestly, and I talked to my cardiologist about it, and he said, ‘absolutely, the trauma to my chest from those elbows could have been hard enough to knock your heart out of rhythm,’” Lawler said. “It would start slowly, and then get more and more and more out of rhythm until it just seized up.”
Lawler noted that he’s feeling 100% now and wants to talk to Vince McMahon about having “a match or two on Raw” again.

Lawler just thinks that what happened, it may have contributed but was not a cause. It probably was a contributing factor. But at the end of the day if his heart was healthy then it wouldn't have happened. A guy in his 60s running around, taking bumps and getting hit in the chest (especially if he has heart problems, known or unknown) is a recipe for disaster. He's just lucky he had it on Raw and not when he got back to the hotel room.

Blame one of your company's best assets and not look in the mirror and realize you shouldn't be competing with a bum ticker. Good on you Lawler. I was amazed when I heard him say that. Why would he throw Ziggler under the bus like that? Nobody was clamoring to know what really happened. Everyone chalked it up to him being in his 60's. Very disappointed in how he talked about it. Complaining about how he landed on him 10 times further proves he shouldn't be competing.
THEN he says he's close to talking to Vince about competing a couple more times? What the hell? Who would dare step in the ring? If Dolph is getting the blame for his heart attack, who wants to risk being the guy who "killed Jerry Lawler"? Dude needs to know his role and get punch drunk over "puppies" on commentary. Sorry bud, your best days are LONG gone.

Jerry doesn't come off sounding like he blames Ziggler at all. He puts him over as one of the best talents on the roster now. This article is just worded poorly and seems like its intent is to get people thinking Lawler would be fine if not for Ziggler. So to anyone saying "it's not Ziggler's fault," I'd wager that Lawler would agree. "Contributing factor" =/= direct cause/fault.

I don't think "The King" is blaming Dolph. Dolph does the same spot in nearly every match. Lawler's heart was to blame. The elbows may have kick started the cardiac arrest, but in the long run, Ziggler may have done Lawler a favor. How lucky was Lawler that his heart attack happened at Raw with a full medical staff present. If it would have happened at home, with no one around to help, The King would probably not still be alive.

I don't think he is blaming Ziggler as opposed to just telling us what actually happened. He seems to be saying that his bad heart with the multitude of those elbows caused it. Obviously if Ziggler had know Lawler had a heart problem he wouldn't have done it.
