Thinking of starting a ML collection. Solely planned to start with a Spider-Man only collection. In all honesty, is it too late to hop into this line? Depends on what figures youre looking for. What characters do you like?

What characters do you like? Was gonna start strictly Spider-Man. I know diving into everything would be way too costly. Haha Anything Spidey has always been a favorite of mine.

Haha Anything Spidey has always been a favorite of mine. Hasbro is always releasing Spider-Man themed waves and you can probably find Jackal, Tombstone, Beetle and that 2pack with Mary Jane in stores now with Venom and Carnage coming soon.

Also they rereleased pizza spidey in the retro line, which amazon has for $16~ and I know I’ve seen them clearanced at Walmart. Might have to look for a deal if you want Green or Hobgoblin. They were both harder for me to find. Ended up buying Hob from VintageStock for a few bucks markup and Green I might’ve been able to snag from Amazon. Plenty of MCU Spidey around with the Avengers/Homecoming/Civil War figs. We just got Lizard and Mysterio. Hell go to enough Walgreens and Targets and you might be able to build Rhino still...

Toys across the board are seeing a sick increase in cost. I had to walk awayfrom Hot toys because some figures have increased from $199-$299. Star wars 3.75 are going from $9.99 to $14.99. I’m about done collecting all together. Not to get too much into politics, but if we get into a trade war with China, nobody is going to be collecting toys. The industry is already over inflated. I jumped out of Play Arts when they went from normal pricing of $40-50 a figure to $150 a figure, virtually overnight. I think that's the kind of increase we will be looking at if manufacturers have to start paying 25%+ tariffs on bringing in goods. That takes every $20 figure and makes them $25, just to cover the import cost. Hasbro and Mattel would absolutely pass that cost onto the retailers and the retailers push it onto the consumer. I know every collector has a line they draw in the sand but you really start asking yourself what is the actual worth of these things when they start pulling these kind of stunts with pricing. I think most assume it's a test to see if the market can sustain a price increase. I for one don't think it can. If anything, it seems like more collectors than ever are waiting out price drops and sales. Don't even get me started on Star Wars. The Vintage Collection stuff has been handled so poorly that nobody who collects that line owes Hasbro an ounce of loyalty at this point imo. As far as I've heard the tariffs are only on steel, anyways.

Thinking of starting a ML collection. Solely planned to start with a Spider-Man only collection. In all honesty, is it too late to hop into this line? It's actually a pretty perfect time to get into collecting Spidey related MLs...My suggestions? Pick up... Retro Spider-Man Absorbing Man (BAF) Beetle Black Cat Boomerang Carnage (upcoming) Chameleon Doc Ock (upcoming) Electro Green Goblin Hobgoblin Jackal Jack O' Lantern Kraven Lasher Lizard (BAF) Mary Jane (2 pack with modern Spidey also gets you an adult Peter Parker head) Morbius Mysterio Poison (upcoming) Rhino (BAF) Sandman (BAF) Scream (upcoming) She-Beetle Shocker Speed Demon Taskmaster Tombstone Venom (upcoming) Vulture (2 pack with teen Spidey) I'd hold off on: Kingpin, and Scorpion they're due up for a proper update sooner rather than later... We're also getting Gwen Stacy in a wave. And you can get associates relatively easy, as well. Chameleon comes with a JJJ head. Daredevil is coming in a wave. Mockingbird is easy to come by. As is Human Torch. Punisher, as well. The one you're REALLY gonna have trouble with is Rhino. You should be able to come by the pieces easily, but a couple of them will cost a pretty penny. Worth it, especially if you're only doing Spidey-related characters. That should be good to get you started! *Edit* If you go to Dork Side Toys -- you can get Lasher, Taskmaster, Vulture, and Punisher all LOOSE for a good price. Cheaper than you'll pay in stores, and then you don't have to pay $40 for Vulture/Teen Spidey just to get Vulture...

Need some help guys, 2 questions:
Does any of the RSC defender cases hold marvel legends well enough?
Was the hydra agents 2 pack a short run or something? I have only been able to find 1 pack just 1 in months of hunting everywhere online is ridiculously over priced already and I was really hoping to army build these guys
Thank you

I know the latest series that was released had magneto and Ultron but is there anything other than that series? I don’t remember seeing anything else.

That you saw even one left on a shelf is honestly pretty shocking. The vast majority of us have never seen one in stores. I got two of the bigger ones from a pal, but other than that...they're the reason I get anxious about TRU exclusives that I want. I wanted 3 packs, myself. Nope.

finally found Mr. Fantastic today, was snowed in yesterday so I couldn't go out looking, stopped at Walgreens after the comic shop, and boom! a case of Mr. Fantastic. Really can't wait to get Thing. My biggest gripe with these figures is how Sue and Reed have SLIGHTLY different shades of blue, how did that get by everyone? Can anyone answer this for me, I paid full price for Reed, was he supposed to be $12.99? Could swear I saw people saying they got it on sale. Sale ended the 4th. Couple people got lucky and had stores honor the sale up to the 6th that I saw, but -- was officially over this past weekend.

Nice. I last looked for Mr Fantastic Tuesday without any luck. He almost looks like he has the Nick Fury head minus the patch.
