There is a house show in my city on Friday the 20th, and they have been airing commercials about it saying who will be there and what a few of the macthes are. Well it says Daniel Bryan will challenge WWE champion Randy Orton in the main event. So I guess that means Orton is gonna retain tonight?
No "It's not still real me damnit" but these minor details never would have flown back in the day. Why do they have to do that? There is plenty of other ways to word it.

'Card subject to change' Hes the current WWE Champion so what do expect them to say? It says Daniel Bryan will challenge Randy Orton for his WWE Championship. What do I expect them to say? How about "Daniel Bryan faces Randy Orton in a match for the WWE Championship." To the point, but vague as to who the champ will be come Fri.

But they're acknowledging who the WWE Champion is though which makes Randy Orton a selling point. If Daniel Bryan wins tomorrow then the term 'card subject to change' will come into effect, its there for a reason.

I understand the card subject to change, but let's be honest....that applies more to match participants being changed. If they still face each other, no matter who the champ is, the "card" is still the same.

They always advertise the card using the champion at the time they made the ad. That doesn't mean they will still be the champion when the show happens. I'm pretty sure that for the WrestleMania Revenge UK tour, they advertised Del Rio as World Champion and didn't advertise Cena as WWE Champion.

Surely you didn't think Bryan was going to win already, this early into the angle.

Card subject to change is right!
We had Smackdown here in Jacksonville, Fl on February 7th or 5th... The main event was Sheamus vs Big Show for the WHC. Smackdown got here, and Alberto was WHC! The Big Show as champ commercial aired until the day before the show, when it was changed to ADR as the WHC!

Not to be a jerk....
But don't you think if they wrote it the way you're suggesting - others would interpret it to mean that Orton is LOSING the WWE Championship at Night Of Champions? And then some internet people would be complaining that that's a spoiler too?
It's WWE - you never really know... they might be marketing it that way in order to make NO ONE think that Bryan wins the belt... and then he will!
Honestly - I don't think the way they market those house shows has anything to do with current storylines anyway... you're reading too much into it.

You didn't think Bryan was going to win.
You're upset over the phrasing of the advertisement. Also understand that the card is "subject to change".
Stop crying, or just don't go. I don't see why anyone would get upset with this.
Here's your spoiler: Orton def. Bryan tonight, possibly with the help of a newly heel Big Show.

Yeah, don't read too much into radio ads. They are made weeks in advance and things often change. They were still advertising Cena at events up until recently.
Although I do believe Orton will retain tonight, don't read anything into radio spots in the future.

Once for a house show in like 08 it said it was going to be Cena vs Edge vs Batista vs Undertaker... Take those adds with a grain of salt. 90% of the time the card changes.
