Jackson family is a disgrace, looking to make a payday off of their "family member"'s death. Also, if Murray wasn't unfit, why the f is he in jail for being responsible for the death of Michael Jackson?

I was confused by how they said Murray wasn't unfit. He clearly was quite unfit since, you know, Michael Jackson is dead.

They seek restitution = no PR/book/media deals for a convicted killer. But they went for more money, and for what? Dragging his name through the mud once more? Top 'family' that. But Murray wasn't unfit, they couldn't use hindsight when answering that. It was just when he was employed was he qualified? Yes. Did he go against all medical ethics by doing what he did resulting in Jackson's death? Yes. But for that one question, given what must've been considered, he was competent. He just didn't act it. At all.

That way the guy who took the life of their family member not only has to pay financially, he can't do the whole PR/book/media thing. Funny how AEG tried to make out Jackson couldn't draw a proper crowd. I remember the hype for those concerts, it was insane.

OJ Simpson didn't pay up in the wrongful death suit and I'm betting he has more money than Conrad Murray. Murray wouldn't be able to pay any giant amount. Which is why I'm guessing they went after AEG.

Just saying.

This family was going after a money grab after cashing in on his death already, which I don't have a big problem with but to act like Jackson was going to earn a lot of money if he were still alive is funny. He earned more since his death for his family then if he were to have lived and had gone on to have his semi-successful tour and continued on being the weirdo he was for the last twenty or so years.

Of course he would have made more money if he was alive. He would have made new music that would generate a ton of money compared to now where they have to just re-release everything.

If he were still alive he wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as he is after his death. He would still be Wacko Jacko and be considered by a lot of people to be just a weird guy who might be a child molester. The boom in popularity that came from his death and the way his back catalog has sold at since has earned way more then he would have if he were still alive. The only way he would have earned more was if he were to able to have changed people opinions about him (which would've been near impossible if alive) or if he had a couple of big hits from his new stuff.

If he were still alive he wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as he is after his death. What? He's Michael freaking Jackson. He was and is hugely popular. Even after the false molestation claims he was (and still is) beloved. Because Michael Jackson couldn't have pulled that off. Of course he would have made more money if he was alive. He would have made new music that would generate a ton of money compared to now where they have to just re-release everything. That's not really a given. MJ was one of the most popular musicians in the world, easily top 10. All the time people file wrongful death suits. I was confused by how they said Murray wasn't unfit. He clearly was quite unfit since, you know, Michael Jackson is dead. Sometimes a doctor can do everything they should and the patient still dies. Just saying. Yes, but Murray wasn't one of them. He tried to perform CPR while Michael was on his bed, that's how skilled a doctor he was.

Michael Jackson's This is It tour was going to make him millions, AEG millions and the UK millions. There were even reports that the concerts were going to take the UK out of recession, that's how mad it was. He could've sold out over 100 dates at the 02. There's no way in hell that tour was "semi-successful" It would've been record breaking, and it would've been immense. The sort of show only he and very few could put on.

Sorry I have to ask were you under a rock when he announced his comeback in 2009? "Wacko Jacko" managed to sell out 50 dates at the 02 in hours, breaking any previous records for the place. To disregard his work because of some false allegations (proven in court. look it up.) is simply moronic, how many people nowadays credit Michael Jackson as being their influence? Plenty. If the whole world thought he was "Wacko Jacko" and some child molester, simply because he died they wouldn't have acted the way they did. When Garry Glitter dies people aren't going to rush out and buy his back catalogue, he isn't going to have streets filled with people mourning him, and he certainly isn't going to get the world's biggest music award shows dedicated to him.
