Savage and DDP fight to a no contest at 9:50. Both will move on to face Hogan in a triple threat match. Kurt Angle makes The Rock tap out at 16:10. "Your Olympic hero just made the Rock tap! Oh its true, its damn true!" Sid defeats Vince Russo at 1:45 with the powerbomb. "Russo, I have half the brain that you have!" Bret Hart defeats Chris Jericho with a piledriver at 18:17. "Lionhart, you have just been excellently executed by the excellence of execution." Kevin Nash defeats Chris Benoit at 13:46 with the powerbomb after a Scott Hall distraction. "Big Sexy is just toooo sweeeeet for this vanilla midget." Jeff Jarrett defeats David Arquette at 3:20 with the stroke. "Suck on these, Slap Nuts!" So now we move on to the first official round. Same rules as last time. The poll will remain open for two days. Make one vote for each match.

Hogan - Love him or hate him he helped turn WCW into the #1 wrestling company in the world at one point.
Sting - After Flair he was the embodiment of WCW. Angle got a BS title win on WWF TV (and I'm a huge Angle fan).
Booker T - He was actually pushed as a strong champion. He even got a rare clean win over Goldberg. I enjoyed Sid though.
Scott Steiner - The best heel in the world at the end of 2000. Simmons doesn't stand a chance.
Ric Flair - I love Bret more than Flair but Flair was still at the top of his game when he returned to WCW and beat Vader for the title. Bret was still great in '99 but in this tournament I gotta go with the heart and soul of WCW.
Lex Luger - I liked Nash's character in WCW (besides the fingerpoke of doom moment and defeating Goldberg) but most of his title wins meant nothing. Luger's wins, especially his second one, were much bigger in the grand scheme of things.
Vader - I'm a big Jarrett fan and feel that he gets a bad rap for things he couldn't control but Vader was the man in WCW. Before Hogan arrived and made him look like crap the guy dominated WCW. He even made String his whipping boy.
Goldberg - Easy one for me. No explanation needed.

whoo.....tough poll.
heres what I chose
match 1:Hogan defeats DDP and Savage after Savage clobbers DDP on the outside with a chair but returns to the rings for bodyslam,Boot and Legdrop from the Hulkster.it should be added that Hogan absolutely DRILLS savage with the legdrop.match is a wild 12 minute brawl
Match 2:Surfer Sting defeats Kurt Angle in 18:20 after a a VERY see saw match where both men take quite a pasting......Sting rolls out of the Ankle lock and Angle hits the corner HARD.Sting nails him with a Stinger Splash and traps him in the Scorpion Deathlock.Angle struggles like hell and nearlky reverses it but Sting has this baby slapped on dead centre of the ring.Angle has no choice but to tap.
Match 3:Booker T defeats Sid in 8:15 after slipping out of a powerbomb attempt and nailing the scissors kick.
Match 4:Scott Steiner hammers Ron Simmons in 3:25.Ron is totally outclassed by the genetic freak.after receiving several suplexes Simmons rolls to the outside where Steiner flattens him with an epic lariat.barely conscious he taps out in the Recliner.Steiner beats on him some more after the match.Simmons is stretchered out and retires 20 minutes later.
Match 5:Ric Flair bests Bret Hart in 27:34.both men hammer 7 shades of Shiite outta one another in this very back and forth encounter.a bloody Flair drills Bret with a brass knuckles shot when Bret is leaning over to apply the sharpshooter.Flair applies the figure 4 on Bret who is out cold and the ref counts 123 as Brets shoulders are square on the mat.after the match Bret wrecks the ringside area and threatens referees and officials
Match 6:Vader beats Jeff Jarrett in 9:16.JJ takes quite the pasting here as Vader comes to this dance swinging.he gets some offence back but ultimately is overwhelmed as Vader at his sadistic best gives him 3 powerbombs in a row and nails him with the Vader bomb for the win.JJ is helped to the back after the match.he gets a good reception from the crowd after his valiant effort against Vader.
Match 7:Luger beats Nash in 6:20 after a the foreram smash.Nash cuts a promo saying he didn't even know he was wrestling tonight until WCW rang him yesterday and said he had a match......enraged Luger attacks him and dominates thr lazy and overweight "big Sexy".it all ends when Luger wipes him out with the forearm smash,Nash falls to the outside and tears his quad.he is counted out and he is unable to get up.
Match 8:Goldberg pins the Giant in 10:12 after the spear and an amazing Jackhammer.Giant dominated early on after attacking Goldberg from behind but Bill turned it around with some amazing power moves and finished off The Giant.

Macho Man over DDP and Hogan at 15:03 - Everybody expects Hogan to walk away with the victory, but Savage is able to steal the victory after dumping Hogan out of the ring from behind and hitting the Elbow Drop on DDP. Hogan gets in Savage's face after the match and the two get into a brawl.
Sting over Kurt Angle at 24:32 - Incredible match from these two, and quite frankly they destroy each other. It gets bloody and neither man refuses to tap out to either the Ankle Lock or Scorpion Deathlock. Eventually Sting gets the win after turning the Angle Slam into the Death Drop.
Booker T over Sid at 8:45 - Booker takes Sid down after slipping out of the powerbomb and hitting the Scissors Kick, unfortunately Vince Russo does not do a run in during the match.
Ron Simmons over Scott Steiner at 10:45 - Steiner spends much of the match trashing talking Simmons and dominates for the most part, only for Simmons to fight back and hit the powerslam for the win.
Ric Flair over Bret Hart at 27:58 - An epic battle between the two, and just like in Angle vs. Sting, neither man refuses to back down. Eventually Flair resorts to cheating and clocks Hart with Brass Knuckles while Arn Anderson distracts the ref. Anderson drops Hart with the spinebuster after the match.
Kevin Nash over Lex Luger at 12:11 - Nash steals the win with Creative Control, it's super effective!
Vader over Jeff Jarrett at 7:04 - Jarrett puts up a decent fight against The Mastadon, but he is no match for Vader in the end and is put down after a Vader Bomb.
Goldberg over the Giant at 10:55 - Giant tries his best to use his size to put down Goldberg, but Goldberg takes the win after a Spear and an incredible Jackhammer.
These posts are quite fun, would like to see more people try them.

That sounds like a great match. This is one of my dream matches. Angle in his prime vs. Sting in his prime would be amazing! (Not that their TNA matches weren't really, really good). I'm glad that you decided to do this Cordless. I was thinking of doing something with Royal Rumble winners in a Rumble match, but I couldn't figure out how to do voting. This is a great tournament in the mean time. 1. "Diamond" Dallas Page pulls the biggest upset of the tournament defeating "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "Hollywood" Hogan at 17:06 following a Diamond Cutter to Savage. This match is a threeway brawl. Page and Hogan are both busted open during the match. The finish comes when Hogan nails the big boot on DDP while Macho is outside the ring. As Hogan hits the ropes for the Atomic Leg Drop, Savage storms back in the ring and clotheslines Hogan to the outside. When Savage turns to take advantage of Page, he is caught with a Diamond Cutter for the win! SELF HIGH FIVE! 2. I'm gonna steal Joker's finish on this one. "Surfer Sting defeats Kurt Angle in 18:20 after a a VERY see saw match where both men take quite a pasting......Sting rolls out of the Ankle lock and Angle hits the corner HARD.Sting nails him with a Stinger Splash and traps him in the Scorpion Deathlock.Angle struggles like hell and nearly reverses it but Sting has this baby slapped on dead center of the ring.Angle has no choice but to tap." 3. Booker T pins Sid Vicious at 12:48 with a Sunset Flip. Booker is brutalized in this match. Sid uses his power and size advantage to wear Booker down through a series of throws and slams. Booker mounts offence at several points in the match, but is unable to get more that a flurry together at any time. Around the 10 minute mark, Booker takes control and lands a series of high impact moves. He nails the Bookend, a Flapjack, Sidewalk Slam and Missile Dropkick. Sid is rocked as Booker comes off the rope for the Ghetto Buster, Sid moves and lands a boot to the midsection to set up a Powerbomb. When Sid lifts Booker, however, Booker flips over and pins Sid with a Sunset Flip. 4. Scott Steiner forces Ron Simmons to submit at 18:12 with the Steiner Recliner. This match is very physical. The two hit hard and trade power moves, many resulting in several near falls. At the 15 minute mark, Simmons hits a huge Spinebuster and covers Steiner for yet another near fall. Simmons gets up and sets up in the far corner ready to deliver a football tackle/clothesline combination. Steiner staggers to his feet and Simmons launches himself at Steiner. Steiner moves and Simmons' shoulder collides with the steel ring post. Steiner regains his bearings and turns to catch Simmons coming out of the turnbuckle with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Steiner staggers to his feet and locks the Steiner Recliner on Ron Simmons, who is writhing in pain. Simmons quickly submits. 5. Bret Hart forces Ric Flair to submit with the Sharpshooter at 26:10. Flair and Hart keep this match between the ropes. The momentum changes on multiple occasions. Flair becomes the aggressor around the 20 minute mark and puts a clinic on. He begins to work on "The Hitman's" knee with a Shin Breaker and several elbows to the inside of the knee from the standing position. Hart is on the ground and Flair delivers a diving knee to his forehead. Flair goes for the cover, but Hart kicks out. Flair lifts Hart and backs him into the corner and delivers a series of stiff Knife Hand Chops. "Hitman" no sells several chops before starting to fight back. The match turns into a slugfest that ultimately ends up with Flair being whipped into the turnbuckle. Hart positions Flair for a Superplex and nails it! Without hesitation, Hart locks on the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Flair tries to reach the ropes, but he's caught and is forced to tap. 6. Lex Luger pins Kevin Nash following the Attitude Adjustment Piledriver at 6:34. This match is pretty one-sided. Nash comes in and tries to bully Luger, but Luger is way to strong for Nash. Luger manhandles Nash with explosive clotheslines and knee lifts. Nash has a flurry of offense near the end of the match. He hits Luger with the Big Boot, backs him into a corner and delivers several elbow strikes. Nash backs into the opposite corner and prepares to deliver a running kick, but Luger meets him in the center of the ring with a massive clothesline that turns Nash inside out. Luger hits the Attitude Adjustment and pins Nash pretty effortlessly. 7. Vader pins Jeff Jarrett at 13:38 following a Powerbomb. Jarrett pulled out every dirty trick he knows in this match, and there are plenty. Around the 9 minute mark, "Double J" knocked referee Nick Patrick out by pulling Patrick between Vader and himself when Vader was going for a splash in the corner. Jarrett then delivered a low blow to Vader before rolling outside the ring to grab his guitar. Jarrett busted the guitar over Vaders head and went for the cover before realizing Patrick was still out. Jarrett counts to three himself before becoming frustrated and rolling out of the ring to grab a chair. Jarrett wails on Vader with the chair. Jarrett tries to wake Patrick up, but he's out cold. When Jarrett turns around, Vader is struggling to his feet so Jarrett reaches into his tights and pulls something out. He unwraps the foreign object before throwing powder into Vader's eyes. Jarrett rolls to the outside while Vader tries to clear his vision. Jarrett reaches under the ring and produces yet another guitar. Jarrett rolls back in and smashes Vader over the head with the second guitar, but Vader no sells it. Jarrett, in shock, hits the ropes and readies himself to deliver a big shot to Vader, but he is met with an Avalanche. Vader throws his mask down as a way to clear his eyes and when he turns around, Jarrett is staggering to his feet. Vader grabs Jarrett and drops him with a massive Powerbomb for the win. 8. Goldberg pins The Giant following a Jackhammer at 4:39. There isn't much to talk about with this match. Goldberg is dominant throughout and finishes The Giant with a Spear followed by the Jackhammer.

*Sees that Flair has more votes than Bret Hart in a poll that isn't labelled "who is the worse wrestler".
Walks away mind blown.

How is Ron Simmons beating Scott Steiner right now... this obviously isn't a vote for who was more entertaining with the title.

Walks away mind blown. its a poll about WCW Champions AF.....you may be the only one I know who thinks Bret was a better WCW Champ than Flair.Im a huge mark for Hart and prefer him to Flair but nobody could argue that Bret was an entertaining WCW champ and most certainly wasn't as entertaining as Flair while WCW champ. and yes.....of course it wasn't his fault.it was a catastrophe of circumstances & an unfair comparison but it is what it is.

I know its absolutely horrific to me too.Simmons has only entertained me very briefly in his career......whilst part of Doom then the APA as a face.WCW,Farooq,NOD.....its all just a blur of mehness to me. most certainly in terms of being champ theres no comparison.Steiner defending vs Goldberg @ Fall Brawl 2000 is better than anything Simmons did as WCW champ but hey.....opinions are opinions!!

I'm shocked that Simmons has as many votes as he does and might actually knock Steiner off. I'm not sure if a lot of people saw Ron's brief stint as champ but besides for what was seen as a fluke win over Vader, the guy defended the title against career midcarders like the Barbarian. Steiner was the best heel in the world during the second half of 2000. He dominated every top name WCW had and would have continued his dominant title run had WCW not gone under. As for in-ring work Simmons wasn't bad but he was basically a typical big man to me. Before the huge muscle gain Steiner was seen as one of the best in-ring performers in the world and was still pretty solid after the weight gain when he had the right opponents. But as you said opinion are opinions and gotta go w/ what the majority pick Too bad Kevin Nash isn't booking this tournament or he would find a way for Steiner to win the match w/out winning the vote.
