Mattel, ever since I started collecting your figures I've realized there's only ONE single thing I dislike: knee pads. Elbow pads also, to an extent. The hard rubber, it doesn't rip or anything which is good but it makes posing horrible. Sometimes when I'm rendering an animation I'll grab a figure or two from my desk and just do random crap, like tonight I was rendering an animation and I grabbed Triple H and Punk and I just started having Punk give Hunter a GTS...when I realized how much I hate how the pads get in the way.
I feel like they should use a thinner material, that's more flexible, or just mold them on. I mean, the guys who WEAR knee pads...ALWAYS WEAR THEM...why not just mold them on? That way you can have the posability and the authenticity. Wouldn't it cost less also?

Just move them lower down the leg a bit.

I find old basics with a smaller kneepad or people who should have the longer pads and swap them out with Ziggler, Punk, Sandow and so on. The smaller ones are fine but the big ones that Punk have are really frustrating.

I actually just realized how annoying they are too. I would just keep my figs in a showcase and I wanted to set some up in my ESR. What a pain those things are. Couldn't agree with you guys more.

I really don't mind them at all, on Basics the big ones aren't the best but on elites they're fine. Take the leg sleeves from your basics and put them on the elites and you'll see a difference, vice versa.

I don't know guys, i love the kneepads and elbow pads Mattel uses, Jakks' pads never stayed where you want them, and their R-3 Tech figures they were molded on but didn't feel right. You can always remove them. it's easy. but for the people that like them, like me and some others, they need to stay.

Molded on is the way to go IMO I agree, Cena's figures are awesome since his are molded on.

If they were molded then people couldn't do certain customs or switch pads to keep their figures current. I'm always swapping elbow & knee pads to keep my guys as up to date as possible. Personally I love their pads and would not want them to change at all.

Molded on would definitely be better for posing and I think they should've done that from the start.
Austin and Del rio type knee pads however aren't too bad.

The only ones that suck are the leg sleeves. If they just gave everyone the medium sized pads or the small pads, there wouldn't be an issue. They look better and hide the joints better. Plus, there's no worries of paint rub.

Just take the knee pads off if they bother you that much? I'd hate molded pads to be honest. Then some of us wouldn't be able to do fix ups.

I just hate when they use the wrong knee pads on a guy when they have the right ones at their disposal. Makes no sense.

Yeah, they'd be much better molded. But it won't happen because of the variations needed -- big legs with small pads, big legs with medium pads, big legs with large pads etc etc. I find old basics with a smaller kneepad or people who should have the longer pads and swap them out with Ziggler, Punk, Sandow and so on. The smaller ones are fine but the big ones that Punk have are really frustrating. Ziggler is one of the people who should have the longer pads. Sandow too.

How about making them out of a different material? But to tell you the truth I had never really had a big issue with these so I'm find with them how they are.

The older sleeves are stiff. The newer ones are fine. They don't really bother me. If a figure has tights then I take the pads off. If they have trunks then I leave the pads on
