RADIO INTERVIEW
A few days after my loss at Revolution, I got a phone call from a Sports Radio Network in Hollywood
Talk Show Host: Hi, is this Brock Maxx
Brock: Yeah, why?
Talk Show Host: Hi, I am from a radio network in Los Angeles called HSN (Hollywood Sports Network), and every Friday nights, we have a talk show. We would like to ask if you would want to be on the show. Everybody wants to hear about what it's like being in the WFWF.
Brock: But I lost my first match.
Talk Show Host: That doesn't matter; the hundreds and thousands of people in Los Angeles saw your debut at Revolution and asked us if Brock Maxx can come on our show.
Brock: Okay, fine, I'll do it. What day should I be there for the interview?
Talk Show Host: Meet here next Friday.
I flew into Hollywood the next Monday and thought I can take some days and walk around Hollywood. I brought my DSLR Camera with me so I can take pictures of all the sights I've seen. I saw a bunch of things like the stars, the Hollywood sign, and I went to Anaheim for a day and went to Disney Land. I had a blast in California.
On Thursday, I got a call from the Talk Show Host.
Talk Show Host: Hey Brock, what's up.
Brock: Hey man, nothing really is happening, just about to go out for dinner, do you want to come?
Talk Show Host: Sure, where are we going?
Brock: O' Harris' Irish Pub
Talk Show Host: Man, I love that place. See you there.
We then met up at O' Harris' Irish Pub.
Talk Show Host: So now here is why I mainly called you. I need to tell you the details about when to meet at the radio station tomorrow.
Brock: Ok, I was actually going to ask you when I should meet you guys at the station.
Talk Show Host: Okay, so at 5:30 is when you should be there. At 6:00, we are getting a pizza delivered to the station. Then we start at 7:00.
Brock: Ok, sounds legit.
It was 7:00. The countdown for going live started.
Countdown: 10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1.
Then, the talk show host started.
Talk Show Host: What's going on everybody? I'm your Host, Dustin. Today, we are going into the wrestling world with the newest WFWF Superstar, Brock Maxx.
Brock: What's up guys?
Talk Show Host: Ok guys, this is going to be great. Now let's start with the interview. Now Brock, How long have you been wrestling?
Brock: I started wrestling in Indy Promotions about 5 years ago. I actually made it to the WFWF faster than most people do when they transition to WFWF. Also, I didn't go through a development center.
Talk Show Host: Wow! I didn't know that. That was great to hear about. Next Question, How many hours a week do you guys have to work?
Brock: Well, we mostly work for around 4-7 hours a day, at least I do. Most of the time, it's 2 to 3 hours.
Talk Show Host: Okay, so now we will answer a few tweets then Brock Has to go. So a tweet from @wweanimatorguy - "Hey @bmaxxwfwf, how hard do you have to work to make the @wfwf"
Brock: Well @wweanimatorguy, I had to work through so much pain, I had to work above my comfort level, I trained everyday with the exception of Sunday and Religious Holidays.
Talk Show Host: Wow! You must have really wanted it.
Brock: I did.
Talk Show Host: Now a tweet from @ilovewfwf - "Hey @bmaxxwfwf, will you be competing at #WFWFRevolution"
Brock: Actually yes, I am in the opening contest against Andrew Carter, so Carter, if you are listening, I will kick your ass.
Talk Show Host: Well that's all the time we have with Brock Maxx, stay tuned for a mystery guest, we'll be right back. (Mics go off) Why thanks for coming on the show Brock.
Brock: Why thanks for having me, hopefully I can be on the show again sometime. I got to go; I need to be in Louisiana for Revolution.
Talk Show Host: Okay, thanks, have a safe trip.
Man, I never thought after one WFWF match, I'd be on a radio show and be interviewed. But in WFWF, anything can happen.
