Back in the day the MITB was used to elevate careers and make mid carders main eventer's. Lately WWE in the past couple years hasn't really done anything with there MITB winners. Besides Orton Who do you think was the last MITB winner to actually use it to elevate there career.
Orton(already a main eventer when winning it Sandow(Still hasn't cashed in) Ziggler (Look where he is now) Cena (Lost also same as Orton) Del Rio (was already a main eventer when winning it) Bryan (It did alot for him, but after losing it at WM 28 he was lost in the shuffle for a couple months till OTL. it was Kane, the Yes/NO Chants/ and beard that got him over) The Miz (Look where he is now) Kane (After winning it he went back to same the old) Swagger (Did nothing for him)
Now for me this is when it stops, this really made Punk a hated heel and was one of his best feuds ever in the summer of 09 with Hardy.
Do you guys agree or disagree? Remember this is all my opinion. Only other ones I can say it maybe helped was Bryan and Miz because Miz did main event WM 27 and beat the top guy because of it. I do also give credit to WWE for putting it on Orton to put him right back in to the shuffle of the main event again.

Edge is only one who truly benifited from it. It turned him from a midcarder to a full blown main eventer until he retired.

Yeah Edge stands out by some distance. It also did a lot for the next winner (RVD) but that was storyline orientated. Besides the first two it has all been quite underwhelming tbh, but I till can't help but love the concept. It just needs to be used properly.

Let's see if Sandow can get it back on track. He looked great tonight on smackdown.

I'd say Miz was elevated from it.
Sure he's back in the midcard, but he's the top face of the midcard. WWE generally still presents him as a "top tier talent". Without that WWE title reign, he'd probably be in Kofi Kingston's position, or he'd be all the way down in the undercard.

CM Punk benefited the most. For that WAS supposed to be Jeff Hardy winning it at Wrestlemania 24, and when he got busted and had to take some time off, CM Punk got the spot. Edge was gonna be WWE Champion with or without MITB. For he already had World Title matches with Triple H in 2004 and 2005.

Edge, Punk(second time), and Bryan are the three that have made the most out of winning MITB. The briefcase got their foot in the door to the main event and they all stayed there are pretty close to there from then on.

I was fairly young and naïve when Edge had it, but for me he didn't seem like world title material when he won until the night he legit shocked the world by cashing in. That's a moment they'll never replicate with the gimmick no matter how hard they try. Punk benefited of course, and did a lot more than the majority of winners with it, but for me didn't need it and perhaps it was due to how crapty WWE was at the time, it was rather forgetful. But really, after the first 2, how many cash-ns have been ground breaking? The concept needs revamped or at least a little creative spark. Give us something interesting ffs. The majority of cash ins are something a 7 year old comes up with when playing with their figures.

YES! and NO! helped Bryan get over, and he backed it up with his wrestling. But, I would say the last one to majorly help someone was Punk.

Punk, Edge & Miz are the only guys I really can see who got to that "next level" at the time they did only because of the case. Miz is the only one of those 3 who fell back down
Punk & Edge obviously would have gotten there if MITB didn't exist

Edge no doubt. His MITB cash in is still the most memorable one to me, with Punk's first one being second.

Since he lost the WWE Title he's had a 3 month IC Title reign that's easily forgettable and hasnt done anything relevant since. Kofi Kingston, while boring, has done more in the mid card level the past couple years then Miz has. The only thing I ever see Miz do is host his talk show on Raw and then get beat up by whomever he hosted on Smackdown.

I don't know how anyone can say Daniel Bryan wasn't elevated by winning/cashing in MITB.
He went from losing to Heath Slater on NXT, to being the most over guy at WrestleMania within the span of less than a year. And since then he's never looked back career wise.
