I'm just playing the waiting game. My PlayStation 4 and Killzone Shadowfall are completely paid off. I'm extremely excited, and I figured we might be able to make a good conversation out of this. One of the most exciting parts for me about awaiting the next generation is that I've completely paid it off way ahead of time with my hard earned money. Getting a console as a Christmas present when I was a kid was an awesome feeling, it's extremely exciting, but it feels really cool to know that I'm not a kid anymore. I've pulled extra hours at my job to earn the money to buy it for myself. My Vita was the first console I ever paid for completely on my own, but this is the big one. Not a handheld. Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm lame, but I'm kind of proud of myself. What about you guys?

I've got my One almost paid off. My employee discount took off a great 10% and I've been paying slowly every two weeks, so I only owe around $150. By the time it's out, I'll be paid off.

After some debating, I've decided to wait for the newer 'slim' models. None of the launch titles really interest me, and it'll be a little while until the games take advantage of the hardware. Hopefully any hardware problems with the launch versions will be sorted out by then too.

I'm going to wait until some better games come out for the PS4.

Just one more payment for my PS4.
I'm pretty pissed about Watch Dogs being delayed though but at least I'll have more time to play AC 4.

I reserved my Xbox through Best Buy so just paying when I pick it up. The only consoles I didn't buy myself were the Ataris and NES. I'm old.

My PS4 console, Knack, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (since WATCH_DOGS is now delayed, I'm still seething about that) an extra controller, the PS4 Eye are all paid off. The waiting game is in full effect. 3 weeks, 3 days to go.

PS4 with AC IV, NBA 2k14, Madden 25 and an extra controller all paid off. I'll upgrade FIFA 14 from PS3 to PS4 for £10 too. I had Watch Dogs paid off aswell but cancelled my pre order once they announced the delay. Disappointed as now AC4 is the only non-sports launch title I'm really interested in.

How long is the delay on watch dogs? Gamestop has it listed for June 30th. That's a hell of a delay. I am not rushing in to get a console first day. Actually, I don't think I ever have. I'm leaning towards the PS4 sometime next year, but I'd rather be safe and wait sometime to see what people think of each when they're out. And it's not like any launch titles are blowing me away.

Wow, yeah. Even better reason for me to wait on getting the next gen.

I have my PS4, AC4 Collector's edition, and Battlefield 4 completely paid off. I just hope the launch isn't too crazy.
Also, I understand waiting if you don't has the money right now, it is a big purchase, I understand that. But i wouldn't cross my fingers for a slim model or a price drop any time soon. I think it will be at least a good 2 years before we even see a price drop. At $400, PS4 is the cheapest system ever released when you adjust for inflation. And it's already smaller then the PS3 slim. I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed when this thing is flying off the shelf and they can't find one anywhere because they waited too long

The PS4 looks gorgeous and I am looking forward to the day where I have a nice new big tv to go with a nice new next gen gaming set up. I'm in no rush though. My 360 is still going strong after 5 years and I don't game that much anymore so It's working for me. Maybe the hype of seeing more gameplay videos/upcoming games will be enough to push me into doing it sooner but for now I don't see a reason to rush.

$170 left to pay on my Xbox One, pre-ordered through Amazon.
I wanted to lesson the blow this console had on my wallet, especially with its release falling so close to Black Friday. I've done a pretty good job thus far. I applied some already stored Amazon credit initially, and then took the $150 or so in cash I received for my birthday and turned it into an Amazon gift card. I've done the same thing with some extra cash I had stored to get it down to where I'm at now.
In other words, with $170 left, not a penny has come out of my checking account, which is nice. Even though it doesn't really make a difference, not having the purchase impact what I see in the bank makes me feel a lot better. I know I'm still paying for it, but it doesn't deplete my account.
