Hey. I tried I asking this in the official HITC PPV thread, but it looks like it won't be answered in time. Here's the skinny...
To my utter surprise, instead of going out to dinner Sunday night, so my mom can finally meet my GF's parents - my girlfriend and I are going to the PPV instead. Her mom found out it was in Miami, and decided to surprise us with floor seats. And here I thought this was one show I'd have to skip, due to family commitment.
Anyway, we ended up with section one, row five. I know that's not facing the hard camera, but hey, I'm grateful just to be sitting so close. This brings me to a two part question:
If I were to bring a sign, is that considered a dick move or too much trouble? I don't want to be inconsiderate, since floor seats aren't 'layered' with the person in front, below you.
Secondly, in the general area of fifth row ringside, do you get to take the chair home as a memento? Or have they stopped that practice?
Ironically, the last time I had floor seats for a PPV, was ECW's Living Dangerously 2000, where I was also five rows back. Thanks in advance.

I think is only the first 2-3 rows you get to take the chair,,,, The sign is really your call and the person behind you will tell you if you got it up and obstructing their view 9-10

Bringing a sign is only a dick move if you hold it up during the entire freaking show. When I go to live events, I get a pocket full of pennies to throw at idiots who refuse to put their signs down. It is so freaking annoying. But if your gracious and only hold your sign up at certain times and for short periods, then you're fine.
You should be able to take the chair home.

What's the sign going to say?
'Take your top off Mick!'

I was considering bringing the same sign I made for the Miami SmackDown in January. I usually only hold signs up during entrances and ends of matches

To my knowledge, the first five to ten rows get chairs. The face value printed on your ticket will tell you. If it's price level 1 (looks like for HIAC that's $353 + service fees), you're getting a chair. Anything less, and you aren't.
As for the sign, I'd just say it's all about being respectful. If you're sitting in front of the hard camera (as in back to it), though, they may take it away from you if it poses a possible obstruction.

At Mania it was up to Row 7 that got chairs if I remember correctly.

IMO its a dick move to bring signs and it was also trouble for me to carry around when I brought a sign once for my first ever show.
And to your 2nd question, yes i'm pretty sure the first 7 rows get to take the seats home.

I've always had the mindset that if you are not on the camera side, there's no reason to bring a sign. Especially if you are fairly close to the ring. But its your call. As far as it being a dick move, IMO, I've always thought that if the wrestler isn't in the match or segment, don't put the sign up. I don't want to see a Punk sign during the Axel, divas, & tag team match. Hold it during the Punk intro, maybe post match, & that's it. People don't realize that's likely the only time it will be on TV.
But regardless, have a good time.

Thanks everyone for your input. If I didn't still have my above sign in good condition, I wouldn't even consider bringing one. However, it would be cool to have on me, if Bryan wins the big one (again). It could be shown on future TV/DVD promo material. I wouldn't bring any sign, just to bring one.

Not everyone on the floor gets a chair. I sat in like row 5 or 6 at NOC12 and didn't get a chair. Only saw them in the first row
