So i've got the HIAC ring and i wanna customize it to look like the WrestleMania X-Seven ring. My question is if i paint the canvas white and put paint sealer on it, will the paint rub off or mark any figures? Thanks in advance. Rated R NinJa

If you put sealer on it, the paint shouldn't really rub off as the sealer should 'seal' the paint.

I'm more concerned about if it'll leave marks on figures. Rated R NinJa

If your going to customize a ring, you could always just buy a spring ring and just fix it up, it's the same size and only 10 bucks and it has molded ringskirts ( the sides are have hard plastic shaped like a ring skirt) and just add your logos on there plus the turnbuckles look 100% better.

I think the sealer would help protect the figures from most scuff marks.
This may be a little far fetched, but you should look into getting multiple (or if you can find one big enough) clear screen protector stickers. You know, the kind they use for cell phones, PSP's, Nintendo DS's, etc. If you could place that over the mat when you're done painting, you'd protect your figures and the ring.
You'd just have to apply it carefully to avoid bad looking air bubbles.

I'm sure there are computer screens big enough to have those made for them, and that would work well. Of course, if you seal the mat there is a fair chance the sealer will crack. It doesn't usually chip but it can crack at times. If you use spray sealer rather than painting it it should work better.

Actually, how about using spray paint? I've used it for my Hasbro ECW ring and I've had no problems or scuff marks on either the canvas or any figures that I have used in the ring.
