Well here in the UK it is Remembrance Day which signifies not only the end of the first world war, but a day of Remembrance to all soldiers that have died in the field of conflict worldwide. To my understanding Veterans Day is along the same lines of meanings (Not to sure what the other countries do to mark this day.)
I hope you all have that small second to yourself to reminisce and appreciate the work of our military oversea and what they do to protect us everyday.

I hope today that we also remember the brave women who fought and fight for us all to be free.

Close, Veterans day is to honor people who have served. Memorial day is our day to remember those who gave their lives.

Did something I've wanted to do for a while today, when I was coming out of Walmart, there was a Vietnam Veteran collecting money for the American Legion, and everytime, I always give a dollar or two, but today, I drop in two bucks, and then shook his hand and told him thank you. That's the very least any of us owe our veterans, a simple thank you for what they've done.
