Saw it a second time in Imax, may go a third. It had a very Empire Strikes Back vibe to it. Only they ended it on a cliffhanger AND a yeah moment. Iron Man 3 and Star Trek 2 can take some notes on how to do a swerve.

Caught it TWICE this weekend.
Catching Fire is my favorite book in the series; so I was REALLY looking forward to this one. Absolutely loved it! Way better adaptation than the first one; plus all the new characters were cast PERFECTLY (and this is coming from someone who was REALLY worried about Claflin as Finnick).
Great way to end it, book readers know what's coming next, the general audience is DYING to find out what's coming next. Kudos to them for that ending.
I'll probably catch it again before it gets out of the theatres.

I watched the first movie and didn't like it. The only good thing I liked about it was Kid Briton from Avengers Arena was in it. I haven't watched the 2nd one, but by judging most people's reaction I don't expect this to be a great movie.

These are the same people who tarnish Judge Dredd for being too violent which is illogical.

Going to see it Wednesday. I was all hyped up to see it opening weekend, but the group of us all had to bail out for different reasons. Suppose it worked out. I loved the first two books, wasn't particularly big on Mockingjay. I just watched The Hunger Games again last week to prepare. Somehow, I hadn't watched again since theaters. I enjoyed it even more the second time. Can't wait for this.

Went to see it the other day for a mates birthday. Hadn't seen the first one as it just didn't appeal to me and was expecting to hate it but was surprised by it. Really enjoyed it and will try to watch the first ASAP.

Saw it a second time today and it was just as good.
I do have to point out, I think it's pretty crazy that Commander Thread wouldn't know Katniss right away. Her and Peeta are supposed to be these polarizing figures in Panem, and she is the Mockingjay and a direct threat to Snow, but Thread is running around District 12 and isn't prepared to deal with Katniss? I don't remember that section of the book, so this may be an issue I have with Collins, but I thought that was really strange the second time through. Maybe just written off as a heat of the moment type of deal, but kind of nonsensical imo.
I actually loved the ending even more this time through. I wasn't really sure where they were going to cut it off the first time, but knowing going into it let me really take in the emotion going through Lawrence. I just appreciated that part of the film a little more this time around.

That entire sequence is different in the novel and the movie; in the movie Gale is being whipped for tackling Thread while in the novel he's caught with a hunted Turkey. But I do agree, that someone working for the Capital should know what the most infamous Games' tribute looks like.

Yeah, Lionsgate went the Twilight route with it. I'm interested to see how they break it up honestly. The bulk of the action really happens in the second half of the book. So the first film may be a lot of Katniss figuring out what the hell is going on, psychological stuff, and filling the propaganda leader role. I'm a bit annoyed that they are not doing more of a 6 month spread type of deal for the two. They could easily do one in November and the other around May or June so there isn't such a huge gap.

I think the first part may end with the first interaction with Peeta. I don't really see any other major events in Mockingjay as a stopping point.
