As I finish up the 30 years of Wrestlemania on WWE2K14, I realized how hit and miss WWE can be. Whether I was playing through Cena's reign of terror or recreating the amazing HBK vs. Jericho match, I couldn't help but think of how lackluster the product has been lately.
I was so excited for Daniel Bryan to finally get a shot as a main event star, but then the rug was pulled right out from under me (after 3 god-awful PPVs).
So when was the last time you guys were actually excited for something going on in the WWE?

Summerslam. Fantastic show on paper, fantastic execution. Then things took a turn for the worse and haven't looked back since.

1997.
Nah I'm kidding. Probably the Nexus debut and Punk leaving with the title.
Both of which were butchered to death and ruined. not soon after.

So when was the last time you guys were actually excited for something going on in the WWE? Lol... I bet I kinda come across as an annoying optimistic person in many of my posts in regards to the current state of the WWE... but I'm actually excited right now. Look, I get that it's not perfect and as many people I've been disappointed with the outcome of the Daniel Bryan stuff (but I'm holding out hope that they just wanted to put him on the back burner before they ramp him back up), but week to week I generally enjoy RAW. Honestly, I'm driven more by quality matches, which on the whole I think we get (of course nowhere near all of them) and then story second... Many of the story elements have been lazy, but I've enjoyed the Punk vs. Shield stuff and depending on how it turns out I'm ok with the Bryan vs the Wyatts. The Big Show stealing Bryan's story/thunder (and adding it to his own) pisses me off. The Cena-Orton thing is lazy, but it's like anything they ever did with Hogan and The Warrior, so I'm not sure what people expect there.. and if they do unite the titles I will be down for it. I'm liking Sandow vs. Big E... Your putting a main event quality guy into the IC run, adding to it's and Big E's legitimacy. I'm tired of where they have taken AJ's angle and that needs to be wrapped up soon... and hopefully Natalya will get the title so they can figure out a new gimmick for AJ. I'm annoyed with how they've buried Ryback and put Miz and Kofi into the strangest/laziest feud of the past 3-4 months... but on the whole I am entertained by the workers.

I'm excited at the WWE's potential future. They have an ultra-talented roster: Ambrose/Rollins/Reigns/Cesaro/Crowe/Bryan/Punk/Rhodes/Langston/Wyatts
So much they CAN do with them. Question is whether or not they will do what's necessary to better utilize those talents.

Every time that xxr23 kid posts gets me excited about the WWE product, just to see how much they're going to upset him every week (spoiler: It's always a lot).
And I really get into it every month around the time they announce Jerk of the Month in the magazine.

Brock Lesners return last year, and everything he's been involved in since. He was the sole reason I bought PPV's last year and this year.

2012 around Mania Season and months following. Rock beat Cena, and claimed he would be wwe champ next. Brock came back and whooped cenas ass. Antiono cesaro debut and won the US title. Ryback demolished through the roster showing us feats of strength we have NEVER seen.
Things were good. The roster was promising. Then some how the past 5 or so months have just killed everything. It's like someone in the back pulled the plug on the exciting stuff, and decided to reform to the same old crap.

It's like I'm in a failing relationship with the WWE, but I keep running back in hopes that things will get better. haha

I was actually excited for a very short moment when the Shield and the Wyatts were teasing their fight on Raw a few weeks ago. If you eliminate that, I haven't been excited since Bryan won/lost the belt. It's almost like Orton winning just sucked all the life out of the WWE. Before that, I was excited when the Shield first debuted. Before that, CM Punk's pipe bomb/streak and the Nexus would be next on the list. It's been so hit and miss anymore.
