I loved the NWO. I think it's the greatest angle in wrestling history. I agree that it was watered down with the older vets (Brian Adams, Stevie Ray, Ray Traylor) that weren't ever over in any way... I would have preferred if the group's entire run had these guys in the stable: Hogan, Hall, Nash, DiBiase, Syxx, Norton and Bagwell. You almost have to include a couple of young guys because you can use the association with the main-eventers to get one or two up-and-coming guys over, but you can't just start throwing anybody in there and expect them all to get over. I think the group should have been 6-7 guys max, instead of about twice that number.
That said, I loved Norton and Bagwell as a tag team. They complemented each other really well and Norton's strong international rep as a legitimate tough guy gave the group a lot of credibility. I wish they would have given him a bigger chance at a featured mid-card role or even a try as a badass main-event heel.

Its been well covered that they cannot be the worst stable of all time. They were a key cog in a huge shift in the direction of wrestling as a whole. In the end, they were booked poorly and it tarnished their legacy, but for the years of 96-97 they were the best thing on TV.
If I were booking, I would have sewn the seeds of a nWo break up after Starrcade 98 when Hogan SHOULD HAVE dropped the title clean to Sting. Nash and Co blame Hogan for dropping the ball, while Hogan blames the rest of the nwo for his defeat. You eventually get the split of the Wolfpac (Nash, Hall, Konnan, and I guess Savage) against the nWo (Hogan, Giant, Steiner, and Bagwell). These would be the main members that would eventually have their blow off at War Games in 98. Wolfpac wins after Giant turns on Hogan and defects back to WCW. This way the nwo dies, the Wolfpac go on as a face faction, and WCW gets a bit of a rub by having one of its guys come back "home" and help end the nwo once and for all.

I'll partially agree - I think nWo WWE was one of the worst factions of all time. started off semi-strong with the 3 originals: Hogan,Hall, and Nash. not even 2 months later, though,Hogan turns face and is out of the group.they bring in X-Pac and Big Show to replace him, trying to recapture past nostalgia. then Hall gets drunk and in some type of altercation, and gets fired . then Booker T and eventually Shawn Michaels join. then Booker gets kicked out. then Nash tears his quad, and the group just quietly disbands for good.
so in 5 months they went from super-hot to completely done.

Their WWE run was a total disaster from the start. I'd say their downfall actually started at Wrestlemania X8 when Hall and Hogan both lost and Nash wasn't even booked.

I actually love the WWE NWO UNTIL Wrestlemania 18. After that it just got worse and worse with Hall being fired, Nash getting injured and the inclusion of people who never should have been in the NWO.

NWO should have never gotten bigger than Hogan, Nash, Hall, Giant, Savage, Syxx, Hennig, Konnan, Steiner and Bagwell. And just a side note; I always wondered what could have been for WWE NWO post WMX8 if their roster was Nash, Hall, Waltman, Big Show and an ACTIVE Shawn Michaels. It certainly would have been much more entertaining than what we got, they could have fueded with Triple H and Hogan and other faces.

Was it the worse? Absolutely not...However did it get watered down like hell...Absolutely! The nWo storyline should have only ran from about 1 years to 1 1/2 years. WCW should have kept a small but solid base for the nWo like Hogan, Hall, Nash, Syxx and Savage. Make it like it was seemingly suppose to look like, an Invasion storyline where they were trying to put WCW out of business.
