Okay some of you are ridiculous. Why does Stings ONLY match have to be one on one with taker at mania? Why can't they do it at mania 31 after stings been there for a year? Why can't they have sting lose then build him back up ? He obviously still enjoys wrestling. What is up with everyone thinking he's coming in for one and done ??

The time for Sting to return was Wrestlemania 27 in Atlanta, whenever those Stong videos were airing. I don't want a dream match to be played out between two guys that are far past their prime. Also, Sting has kept this grudge up for so long it would just be sad if he breaks it now. We could have had so many epic matches with Sting had he appeared years earlier.

This may sound stubborn but if Sting signs and he comes out to mania in a tshirt, i'd rather it not happen at all or only for the merchandise possibilities Wow. Would you rather he came out to the ring nude? How would losing to Undertaker at Wrestlemania destroy him? 20 people have lost to Undertaker at Wrestlemania and none of them were destroyed. Hell, Kane and HBK lost to him twice while HHH lost to him three times. Didn't somebody say Sting is losing to Magnus on Impact next week? I'm not sure I even know who Magnus is to be honest. Being in TNA is what's destroying him. Even if he only wrestled for WWE one time at a Wrestlemania at least he could say he did it, who cares if he wins or loses? Why would you want to go your entire wrestling career and never wrestle for the number one wrestling company and the biggest wrestling show in the world? Plus, his excuse for why he hasn't signed with WWE changes on a regular basis. It would destroy him in the same way that losing to Triple H at the Royal Rumble crushed Steiner. He would come in with a ton of momentum. The fans would be excited. There would be a buzz over Sting finally being in WWE. Then he would lose his first match and all the momentum build for his debut would be squashed.
Scotty Steiner losing to HHH is not what destroyed him in the WWE. Vince buried him after that cause he was a WCW guy. Plain and simple. More than likely Vince gave Steiner the song & dance about how he was gonna start at the top and be one of his main eventers so he would sign the dotted line.
Have Steiner knew beforehand what was going to go down, I doubt he would've signed on.
And its not like his final WWE run "destroyed" him. His legacy is still in tact as one of the greatest tag team wrestlers in Pro Wrestling history and one of the brightest standouts (as a singles competitor) in WCW history.

UPDATE:"Sting was written out of TNA storylines at Thursday night's TNA Genesis Week 2 tapings, airing next Thursday, January 24th on Spike TV. Sting faced Magnus in a high-stakes match for the TNA World Championship. With a lot of interference, Magnus got the win and retained his title. After the match, Magnus tore up Sting's TNA contract, effectively writing him off television. As reported earlier this week, Sting has actually been working for TNA without a contract - and has been in talks with WWE regarding a match at WrestleMania XXX." Source: rajah.com/node/38626----------------------------------------------------------------- I like where this is going. All the stars seem to be aligning in a way they never have before as relates to this subject. Boo-ya!

How would losing to Undertaker at Wrestlemania destroy him? 20 people have lost to Undertaker at Wrestlemania and none of them were destroyed. Hell, Kane and HBK lost to him twice while HHH lost to him three times. Seriously. I mean Giant Gonzalez was a five time WWF champion. And Tensai is formerly one half of greatest tag team in the world from the past 3 decades. That comparison doesn't even make sense. Losing to Taker had NOTHING to do with them not being champion. In fact, wrestling Taker at Mania only helped their career and is probably the only reason why you remember their names. What the hell did Giant Gonzalez ever do other than lose to Taker at Mania? That is the highlight of his damn career. Had that match not have happened then he would he completely forgotten.

Him going to WWE is more on the I'll believe it when I see it. I do think a HOF induction would be cool to see.

How can people seriously believe a Sting vs Undertaker match is going to be any good? They already wrestled in NWA when Undertaker was Mean Mark and that match sucked, so almost 24 years later when one guy wrestles in a T-shirt and forgets spots and the other only wrestles once a year barely able to take bumps, they are going to produce a Wrestlemania classic?

Hogan vs Andre was hardly a classic, and was a slow, plodding affair with lots of standing or laying around. yet it's considered one of the biggest matches ever in pro wrestling because it defined an event, and an era,the anticipation and hype was insane, and it was one of those "special moments" people thought they would never see. same would transpire here. while not a classic clash, the anticipation and hype would be through the roof, and it would truly be a "special moment" that people thought they would never see. Hogan vs Rock is the same. not the greatest match ever, but it FEELS like one of the greatest matches ever because of how special and anticipated it was. not to mention, again, something people thought they would never see.

Sometimes it isn't always about big bumps its the anticipation of this match and the build up people want to see I think its accepted the match won't be a classic. me personally could care less to see it too. As for Mean Mark vs Sting they both were green 24 years ago. Im sure it would be better.

With all the rumor names to be coming back. Say sting does come to the wwe. Now from here this is all what they should do but won't. Sting comes in everyone is omg sting. Management is all excited. Give sting a few new t shirts. Claim he is one of the greatest ever to wrestle and how big of a deal he is finally in WWE. Which would make your champ Mr. Orton mad that everyone is focusing on sting. So Orton goes after sting and puts his title on the line if sting puts his career on the line.

I'm assuming you haven't seen any Taker work post 1996 and base your opinion of in ring work on what a guy is wearing? Because that's the only way someone is going to assume that Taker/Sting would stink up the place. Taker still puts on the match of the year as evident by the match with Punk and Sting can still go. I won't jump to conclusions and say the match would suck because sting has been working guys that aren't exactly great in the ring. I'm confident that with a game opponent (it doesn't get much more game then Taker at Wrestlemania) that Sting can still deliver a great match.

Someone hated like Orton would be a good choice for Sting to wrestle.....but I reckon he will tag up with someone. IF he was signed.
