I can't say I agree with you on that one, Anvil. WWE doesn't want most of their wrestlers. Take Aj Styles for example. The man has a TON of talent... if your statement was true then why would he be working for weak ass ROH? Sometimes I don't understand the heads of The WWE. Didn't the WWE offer him less then TNA last time they were interested? I'd assume the same thing happened again. No. Sting left a ton of money on the table when he walked away from talks w/ WWE last time. WWE has thrown big money at Sting multiple times in fact. Nevermind. You guys are talking about AJ. That flew over my head.

Anyone with any talent in TNA is just wasting their time. I can't say I agree with you on that one, Anvil. WWE doesn't want most of their wrestlers. Take Aj Styles for example. The man has a TON of talent... if your statement was true then why would he be working for weak ass ROH? Sometimes I don't understand the heads of The WWE. If I may weigh in. Aj Styles has been approached by WWE and turned them down ( this is all according to the dirt sheets so take it for what its worth). However, most of TNA's stars wrestle more of an ROH style. My biggest knock on WWE and their acquisition of talent is they take these guys who made their name on the indys Take Claudio Castagnolli for instance. They took Arguably one of the best wrestlers in the world sent him to developmental to learn to "wrestle" slapped another name on him and made him build his name. Which is stupid

-- I really don't want to see it happen. (Not that I don't like Sting, in fact, I'm a Stinger fan for life! Which is why I don't want him to appear for Vince, because he's always held the integrity of WCW, for not being one of the guys who jumped-ship). He's like Fedor in MMA; one of the biggest stars to never sign with the UFC. And somehow, his legacy is better for it! Same goes for Sting! Only thing is Fedor got put down like a dog upon his exit. Sting to anyone that doesn't watch TNA is like a god that they haven't had the opportunity to see for themselves. He's the only guy on the Flair, Hogan, Rock, Austin, Cena level to never touch a WWE ring. It would be the same as every time Hogan returns to the WWE one big nostalgia orgasm and I don't mind that. Sadly im afraid the majority of fans of WWE right now don't really know enough about sting to truly appreciate what they are seeing

They have a major lack of respect for known talent that didn't develop themselves.

WWE's repackaging of known talent or established names they didn't grow themselves is due to marketing rights and greed. If they make it so the entire world knows who this Claudio Castagnolli is and he becomes this HUGE Star, he could then use it as leverage against them when it comes time to renegotiate his contract. If they re-packaged him and he bounces after WWE made him a marquee name, when he goes to the competition it won't hurt them as much due the competitor not getting the name recognition (that goes along with the famous face) to headline their shows.

Well yeah, obviously there are some circumstances where there isn't a name change. But you get the point.

Sting's a popular/well known enough guy to be able to keep the trademark of his name and still be called Sting if he signs. Just like Hogan.

Actually my response about that was directed to a comment above talking about WWE not signing TNA talents like AJ styles and what they do when they sign Indy stars. They change they're name and make them rebuild what they have done

Yes but I stand by my comment that the typical wwe fan of today wouldn't really know who sting was. Because sadly most of them weren't born during his heyday

Sting ruined any hopes after he turned down WM27, would've been perfect. Sting and Taker would've saved that abysmal ppv, plus, Taker still had hair. Now we have bald beat up Taker and out of shape Sting...I no longer have interest.

I never understood why so many are clamoring for Sting vs Taker at Wrestlemania. Both wore black coats, so what? If Sting signed to wrestle one match at Mania why would he want it to be in a "no win" situation? I mean do people really believe Sting would end the streak? No, of coarse not.
If Sting were to sign he'd be better off facing someone like Kane, Jericho, or maybe even Orton. Somebody that can give Sting the win without losing any creditability.
