I had seen a lot of hype about the Super Strikers C.M. Punk head and how great it is (it IS pretty good), so when I was down in St. Paul over the weekend, I stopped by a TRU and picked one up. I swapped it onto my BOPPV Punk and was surprised to notice that it's actually not a new head at all. It's actually the same as the Battle Pack head with Vince, but the eyes and eyebrows are painted differently, and the beard is filled in:  Apologies if it's been pointed out before (or if it was obvious to other people), but I for one didn't know until I saw them in person. I've actually repainted it now so his hair isn't grey anymore. Might post it in the fix-up thread sometime if I think to take a pic. |

Did you know there's 2 versions of superstrikers punk. One has no hair but you can see the outline, like the boppv taker tribute. And the other has hair like that one^. The more you know!

The more you know!  , I knew that I wasn't crazy when I saw the one with the darker hair on it the other day at TRU. I'll probably get the one with the no hair on it if I ever find it. |

I'm glad for those who like the striker head scan(s). I still don't like it. While it is better than the BOPPV scan, I'm not impressed with the recent CM Punk scans in general. However, I am excited for his BAF: JR scan and believe it will look great in person.

Yes I knew it was the same scan, but I didn't know there was 2 versions of the paint application on the Strikers figure.

Haven't seen the bald headed version but have seen the blonde hair/blonde beard version. There's: 1)blonde hair/black beard 2)blonde hair/blonde beard 3)black hair/black beard 4)bald head/black beard - have not seen any pics of this one though  punk close0001 by hasbromaniac, on Flickr |

Today was the first time I saw one that wasn't the light hear with dark heard...it was the dark hair and beard version.

It looks a lot better with the Battle Pack paint job, IMO. The Super Strikers version looks like an old man with a big nose.

My walmarts seem to be getting the dark hair/dark beard version only. The balder/lighter version interests me. As does the Big Show and Rybacks headsculpts. I've got an extra body for both of those lying around for the swap. Not that I'm a fan of the concept,but just with those purchases for head swapping, superstrikers will have gotten more money out of me than flex force ever did.

I bought the Basic 29 World Champions CM Punk because I wanted to have a figure to represent Punk's new look, but honestly I hated the way the head looked. Fast forward to when I found Basic 33 on the pegs, I loved the look of this figure and thought it looked alot like him. Then I noticed something, the closer I looked at it I realized that it was the same head that was on Basic 29. The Basic 33 head was just painted better and the beard was filled in. Then I started noticing the Super Strikers figure and thought I'm eventually gonna have to pick one of those up. Now I see that its the same head as well, just painted better.
That goes to show you just how important the paint apps on these can be.

I just saw the other strikers head (blk head and beard)yesterday. I swapped the og strikers head (blonde head blk beard) on my WM 29 as well.

There are 3 variants/running changes, have not seen any proof of the bald Punk. All have their pictures on back that match the color scheme of the hair/beard, so they are not errors.
