I read a lot of people on here saying Daniel Bryan needs or should have the world title. I must ask why? He is already over he is clearly the number one face in the company and is one of the most entertaining things on WWE TV these days. So tell me again why he needs the title? Take example someone like John Cena or Randy Orton without the belt or without chasing the belt their boring and rather bland. Now while they both have their positive traits. Their characters are rather lackluster without chasing or holding the belt. Meanwhile Daniel Bryan goes out there all the while being in a ridiculous feud and the place explodes. They love him with or without the belt, he brings in money with or without the belt. So why does he need the belt. He is not being buried he is still on TV the fans love him he is winning his matches. Bryan is someone who doesn't need the title to get over. So I must ask why is there such an outcry for it when we know the belts are merely a prop now and seen as second fiddle to The Authority and whatever else angle they choose to put out there on TV. So Id like to here why he does or why you think he doesn't need the title?

Because it would be nice for someone who works as hard and is as popular with fans all over to be rewarded for his work with a title... prove that the company at least as a little bit of faith with him.

I would think that him being talented, entertaining and over as hell are all reasons why he SHOULD be champion.
Plus, not only does he deserve it, but the fans do as well.

Because if he has the title he is cemented as a top player. Problem is DB knows he is the most over guy, fans know he is the most over, and I am sure the powers that be think so as well, but they are afraid to run with him. The fans want it but they will not give it. i think the bigger issue is if he doesn't hold the title legitmately he is not a top star. And a ton of people have a problem with that, because guys like Brock/Orton/Batista arent gonna be around forever and if they do not strike while the iron is hot and cement him, long term he will fade away. I mean honestly he needs the title shortly because fueding with the likes of Wyatt/Sheamus/Del Rio and other crapty midcarders they try to elevate, is not conducive to success. Wrestling has not saw a guy this over with fans since Austin and fans are pissed because WWE is basically saying " you" to the fans by ignoring what they want. So say what you will but if the WWE does not run with Bryan and have him win the title at Mania, it just goes to show they do not give a about the future of the business. Which is sad but true. They messed up with Punk but to his credit he managed to keep himself fresh after a long stale feud with Axel. The real question is, how long can they keep him out of the title picture and burying him before it backfires on them and fans walk away? I mean for god sakes they had to give out refunds because he missed a live event. If that doesn't scream face of WWE I dont know what does

So were giving people the belt now because they are boring and bland without it? How sad.

So were giving people the belt now because they are boring and bland without it? How sad. its true sad thing is after someone has had the belt for a while people turn on him I remember everybody wanted punk to have a title run then we he had it people complained about him and his ring work and turned on him it happened with Austin it happened with cena. The belts are merely a prop.

The belts are merely a prop. Actually with or without the title guys like Cena/Orton/Batista a still boring as hell. Atleast without the title, especially in Cena's case, the match could go either way. Look at Orton, his feud with Barrett was not bad at all and it didnt include the title. Guys like Cena/orton/hhh/lesnar should be putting the young talent over.....not the other way around. Look at what Jericho has done for the biz recently. Putting over Punk,Ziggler,Fandango, and even Daniel Bryan (on NXT). So thats a big problem, if not the single biggest problem

Austin was the antihero during a counterculture movement. Bryan doesn't need the belt to be considered a success because the belts are worthless nowadays

Where would WWE be if they hadn't ran with Austin? Out of business......and honestly if the fear of not running with new guys like Bryan/Punk/Ziggler etc....continues I cannot see the WWE lasting very long

Guys like Cena/Taker/HHH/Orton/Batista are the ones who do not need the title. They should be feuding with the new blood putting them over

At this point the WWE title needs Daniel Bryan more than Daniel Bryan needs the WWE title.

While no one necessarily needs the title, the way Bryan was built up it would make the most sense for him to end up with the title belt as opposed to not having it. For the past 6 months he has been fighting to become the "face" (in reality the number 2) of the company by trying to get that title. The title shouldn't be given to a guy to get them over but to the guy who is the most over to which the WWE can only give to two guys at this point: Cena and Bryan. Neither Orton, Batista nor Punk are getting near the reaction of either at this point.
I found it hilarious how mild the crowd reaction to Batista was, especially with how heavily it was promoted. Batista isn't nearly as big as the Rock or Brock, the guy is on the level of RVD and Jericho if even that. I believe it was said somewhere that the guy is only working TV until the summer when he goes to take off for a promotional tour. What sense does it make to give your only world title to a guy who isn't working many (if any) house shows that isn't drawing like the Rock (while also being older)? No sense what so ever.
The excuse that PPV's weren't selling had a lot more to do with the cards being either lackluster and/or repetitive than anything else, Bryan just seems to be their really crappy scapegoat. Daniel Bryan, like John Cena, is a good role model for kids while Captain "Suck my b*lls smarks" Batista looks and acts like a total douche and I highly doubt Punk is ever going to be the face as he doesn't seem to be a people person. Daniel Bryan should and very well could be this generation's equivalent to Bret Hart, but for some reason they feel that Randy "eye candy" Orton needs to be pushed to the moon because he satisfies the female demographic.

He's held the title twice. More than The Ultimate Warrior, Diesel or Eddie Guerrero. Both reigns combined are less than 1% of the shortest reign out of those 3. Number of times you held the belt doesn't always beat length of time you've held the belt.

Austin was the antihero during a counterculture movement. Bryan doesn't need the belt to be considered a success because the belts are worthless nowadays If they give the belt to a guy who is over, wouldn't that bring back some of the title's Prestige? With being the champion of any sport for a substantial period of time, you are seen as number one by your peers, higher ups, and most importantly your audience. And if you think otherwise, you are too "smart" for your own good.

He's held the title twice. More than The Ultimate Warrior, Diesel or Eddie Guerrero. He held it for less than a day. Yokozuna, Bret Hart, Kane, Rey Mysterio, Triple H, Randy Orton, Mankind, Hulk Hogan, and Andre The Giant have all had title reigns that lasted 1 day or less.
