Just idea booking for Warrior IF he hadn't left the WWF in August 1991. Where would he have fitted in for the 3 PPV's he missed? He was just about to enter a feud with Jake & was still involved with Undertaker. Also where does Macho Man feature in all this, as his return was set up perfectly by him replacing UW in the Jake feud. Does Sid Justice turn heel directly after Summerslam main event on Hogan, if Vince knows Warrior is staying rather than getting fired? Setting up Sid vs Hogan at Survivors 91?
Ideas please...

I think Bret thought he was beating Warrior at WrestleMania IX. That was never going to happen, though.

I've seenin a few interviews hathe said he as booked to have a match with Warrior at the rumble. Savage vs. Bret was booked for WM9. I think he said in his book that he'd had a dream about twisting Warrior into the sharpshooter though.

I wonder if it was changed to Yokozuna to win the Rumble, because Vince already knew Hogan was gonna be back, and he knew he couldn't have Hogan vs. Savage or Hogan vs. Bret at Mania, but to have Hogan vs. Yoko instead. So maybe if Hogan was never coming back, the Savage vs. Bret Hart match may have indeed happened. Though I am not sure about how they would have Yoko get eliminated from the Rumble, or who he would face at WM 9 then.

There's really too many "what ifs" to tell. I could easily see Warrior Vs. Justice at WM8 while Hogan/Flair, Savage/Roberts filled out the other Main Events. Undertaker would be regulated into a lesser role against someone that Wippleman would manage (as Taker feuded with Wippleman guys throughout 92)

I have always thought that If Warrior was still around he would have beaten Flair for the gold at WM8.
Hogan was leaving and didn't want to lose to Flair....Vince couldn't have Hogan win because he was going..... This is THE reason Hogan vs Flair didn't happen. Ultimate Warrior was more popular and a better choice than Savage. Maybe Vince thought that he could've made Warrior the guy properly now Hogan was gone.
Warrior on top still presents the same problems though......shallow pool of CREDIBLE heels. But I firmly believe his glue would've held better than Randy's did.
this WM8 card is WAY more attractive to me
WWF Champion Ric Flair vs Ultimate Warrior Hulk Hogan vs Psycho Sid Macho Man vs Jake The Snake-loser leaves town
does anyone know why Sid walked after WM8?because if he didn't he could logically have been Warriors next feud.

There are two stories about Sid being fired in 1992. The "official" WWF reasoning was that he failed a drug test. This probably isn't true. In reality, Sid wanted to take more time off to play softball (?!?!) and started no showing events he was advertised for.

Sid failed a drug test BEFORE WM8, he was allowed to compete at WM8 but he was going to be suspended afterwards and he just asked for a release instead. Your card definitely sounds better. I wonder who Taker would have fought though?

I remember that the first advertisements for the 1993 Royal Rumble in the WWF magazine had Ultimate Warrior on them. As the event got closer he was edited out of the picture. I would love to see that picture again was one of my favorite Rumble posters.

I have always wonder this along with the same timeframe for Survivor Series 1992 - WrestleMania IX.
But from SUmmerSlam'91 through WrestleMania VIII I see Warrior in:
- Feuding with Roberts & Undertaker through fall. Warrior/Sid/ & LOD vs. Roberts/IRS/Disasters. Savage would eventually replace the injured Sid (imagine that team!!!!) - Warrior enters Rumble but comes up short - vs. Ric Flair for WWF Title at WrestleMania VIII
To help with some input, if Warrior vs. Flair, Hogan vs. Sid, and Savage vs. Jake occurred, Undertaker could always take on Papa Shango.

It's not as if the Skinner match was anything great.

Good read, regarding undertakers role I also thought papa shango or Owen hart, although nailz would of also been suitable had he been around or even the berserker if he wasn't scheduled against bulldog which never happens

that poster seems to quash the theory that Warrior was pencilled in to face Bret doesn't it?
