I was reading another post on here and came to the realization that to me, besides the original at Survivor Series 2002, there hasn't been another chamber match where all 6 guys were legitimate winning possibilities. Lets look back over the history of the chamber.
2002 - Perhaps the best ever. In my eyes all 6 men could have won this match given their positioning at the time on Raw. 2003 - I doubt anyone on here thought it would come down to anyone but Goldberg vs. Triple H 2005 - Prob 2nd best chamber match IMO, but again doubt anyone thought it would come down to anyone but Orton vs. Triple H given the booking. 2006 Raw - Only possibilities to me here were Angle or Cena. 2006 ECW - Draw your own conclusions -_-
From 2008 on when the Chamber was only used on the PPV before Mania, It became very predictable when fitting with the story lines.
2008 SD - Obvious Taker 2008 Raw - Obvious HHH w/a splash of second guessing with Hardy 2009 SD - Obvious it wasnt going to be Kozlov or Show 2009 Raw - Obvious it wasnt going to be Knox/Rey/Kofi/Kane 2010 Raw - Obvious it wasnt going to be Dibiase/Kofi or Sheamus with Wrestlemania looming. 2010 SD - Clearly wasn't going to be Morrison/Truth/Rey heading into Mania 2011 SD - Obvious Edge win here 2011 Raw - Obvious Cena win here 2012 Raw - Obvious Punk win 2012 SD - Absurdly beyond obvious Bryan win 2013 - Obvious it wasnt going to be Kane/Bryan/Orton or Jericho w/ Del Rio retaining earlier. 2014 - No spoilers here but for those who have read, you know where I'm going with this thread.
This is just my 2 cents, but were you guys ever legitimately surprised by any of the other chamber winners?

I liked the 05' one. Thought the build up was pretty good too.

2009 was shocking for me, maybe because I didnt have internet at the time but man Edge losing and winning at the same night was awesome, plus that Cena elimination.

2002, 2003, the one with Morrison and the one Jericho won after HBK superkicked Taker are the only ones I can even remember. The rest all run together like a blur.

I was honestly surprised Swagger won last year. Also I was surprised that HHH beat Goldberg at SummerSlam.

I disagree, most of the times chamber matches are very unpredictable to me.

2002 was the best by far, but it was telegraphed for weeks that it would come down to hhh and hbk. The other 4 were nothing more than upper mid carders at the time due to wwe booking over the prior few months.

In past years the depth hasn't been there for 2 Chamber matches so picking the winner has been fairly easy.
However besides the dreaded ECW Chamber, I think most Chamber matches have been a lot of fun.
Regardless of who is involved they have made an crucial event in the road to Mania.
I expect this year to be important in the grand scheme of things and from the announced participants in the Chamber match, it should be great to watch.

I agree soo soo much. The chamber has become predictable and it's sad......the 2002 EC was my Favorite but also bias probably because I was there live.
I enjoyed the summerslam one aswell I think it was 2003 With Nash

Nothing will ever beat the 2002 EC match.

EC 2002 reigns supreme.....it was all so fresh and exciting. absolutely brilliant.
EC 2003 suffers because it had absolutely the wrong result....terrible booking.
the newer EC's suffer for me because there is no juice. it dilutes the impact/dangerous nature of the Chamber.just like HIAC

I'd say 2003 was fair game. Even if it was predictable as to who the last 2 were, the other guys in it could have legitimately carried the title at the time. Probably moreso than 2002. RVD and Booker had no chance of walking out of the 02 one with the belt.
