Am I the only one who gets sooo annoyed at the keyword spamming on eBay? Its such a nightmare when your searching for something, type in WCW Figures, and there are more results for items that are NOT WCW Figures, if I'm looking for WCW Figures, I dont want to find Power Rangers, LJNs, WWF Figures, I have typed WCW for a reason!!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Rant over!

I searched for a Ryback figure the other day, only to be confronted with large amounts of other figures, one in particular was ridiculous, can't remember it exactly, but it was something along the lines of WWE Mattel Miz Ryback Heyman Jakks WWF WCW Galoob LJN Punk, it DIDN'T even have the words wrestling or figure!!!

That crap is beyond annoying. Especially when they add "Not", as in "WWF LJN FIGURES NOT WCW HASBRO JAKKS". Yea, like nobody knows what the seller is trying to do

I hear ya...When I am looking for WCW Magazines...EVERYTHING pops up, and maybe 1 or actual wcw magazines..Ebay should definately do something, like delete any listings that are not SPECIFIC to what they are selling, and while they are at it, lower some shipping costs

Totally agree. It is the worst. There is one seller who seems to be particularly guilty of this. I search for "WWF LJN" and get three pages of his flea market wrestling junk before I get to what I am looking for. He puts wwf, wcw, ljn, galoob, hasbro, jakks, remco in every title. I wouldn't buy from this seller if he had something I did want, solely on principle.

You can exclude keywords...say you want to search for just WCW figures, you could search "wcw -wwe -wwf". Sure, you'll also get rid of WCW auctions with superfluous keywords, but it'll eliminate all of the WWE and WWF auctions you'd have to sift through.

What sucks is once you get to good at that, you're limited in the amount of characters you can include within your search. So garbage still shows up. But what sucks more, now that I think about it, is having to do that to begin with

Yeah, I think it's worse with 'wcw'. People put 'wcw' in the title if one of the guys were ever in WCW, even if they are WWF/WWE figures.
...plus there are bungholes who put "wcw wwe wwf ecw ljn hasbro jakks mattel' in just about everything.

I started reporting that when I see it over and over from the same seller, but I doubt it will do any good.

totally, how hard is it to simplify the name of the listing, if someone wants what youre selling theyre going to find it. And if you read this and youre one of the people we are talking about, KNOCK IT THE FK OFF!

I'm right with you in that I'll never buy anything from him just because I've had to wade through hundreds of total swap meet castoffs thanks to his keyword spamming.

I don't think this is specialized to any one seller. I've seen several sellers list wrestling items like this, and 99% of the time it's because they have no interest in the wrestling itself, to them it's all the same so they assume for us it's probably all the same too. It's funny because they spend so much time with their JAKKS/GALOOB/WCW/WWF/AWA stuff, and then when you read the listing it's usually just "cool rare wrestling figure good shape card bent" or something.
