Hey guys,
I was just searching eBay for various MOC WWF LJN figures and one particular auction caught my eye. A seller by the name of packerconnie is offering various MOC WWF LJN figures for sale, but his current auction for a MOC B. Brian Blair is a complete fraud. He actually MIGHT have a MOC B. Brian Blair figure for sale, but it DEFINITELY is NOT the one pictured in the auction.
I know that for a FACT because I bought the EXACT Brian Blair pictured from another seller. I have informed the original seller that packerconnie stole his picture and is posting it as his own.
As I said, packerconnie could very well be offering a MOC Brian Blair, but from his description in the auction, it clearly does NOT match up with what is shown.
For potential buyers out there, beware of packerconnie.
I'd like to post the auction, but due to the rules on this forum, I cannot. Just search eBay for "MOC WWF LJN" or "MOC LJN Brian Blair" and the auction should come up.

I was expecting to see perrybeattle's name mentioned somewhere... Maybe he does use some 'BS' at times, but why does @perrybeatle get such a bad rap on here I've bought from him in the past on eBay, and never had an issue

I live 3 states over. If you are going to charge almost $8-9 shipping for something that could easily go express for $3 then I expect to receive it quicker than that.

Speaking of high shipping, when I was searching for LJN to complete my collection around 2004 there was a seller who usually charged $10-20 to ship ONE LJN. They had a fair number of negative reviews because of that, too. Making a few dollars off someone unsuspecting is not only wrong, but the negatives are not worth the little money.

Thats why eBay starting charging 10% of postage payments along with the final value fee

I believe he charges for handling if you read the fine print. Handling my product for a week before sending it. Guess so. Its a joke. Very rude to deal with. I was buying multiple items from him and trying to get a little discound and he was not having it at all. And the shipping actually went up a few dollars even though everything could fit in the original box plus whatever else there was.

They had a fair number of negative reviews because of that, too. Making a few dollars off someone unsuspecting is not only wrong, but the negatives are not worth the little money. interesting fact... as of right now, in Canada, the cheapest method to ship ONE loose LJN to USA with tracking is $18... take into consideration the fact that ebay takes 10% now, plus packaging materials, id have to charge at least $23 just to break even on the shipping.... also, even within Canada the cheapest possible with shipping is $10.. and thats if the person is in your province, if they are outside your province, it goes to $15-20... shipping is VERY expensive in general, and people complain far too much about it. As long as the person isnt trying to rip you off by charging 3 times what it costs them, then i dont see an issue.. has anyone ever gotten a perrybeatle item and seen what the actual shipping he paid for it? it probably is only a little lower than he quotes..

I do not know why people still bother selling on fee bay. It has been a dead sellers playground for years, the small man of what was once ebay has been squeezed out and its nothing more than a huge global warehouse platform for all the major companys to use and its been turned into a shopping mall.
It is a complete waste of time and I cannot see how many sellers are maintaining surviving such crippling costs.
There has been an opportunity for years for someone else to push ebay aside on auction side of things but none have risen to the surface.
What this all has to do with wwf Hasbro figures.. perhaps completely bugger all!

What this all has to do with wwf Hasbro figures.. perhaps completely bugger all! We've kinda ended up off topic them the OP's original post, but I have to say I disagree with you there. We all have our feelings about ebay taking too big a cut, forcing PayPal on you ect., but the fact of the matter is that ebay is still a great place to pick up figures you otherwise would have found very difficult to source. I think it's anything but a waste of time. I've found some great figures in the last couple of years - carded prototype samples, error cards, test shots ect. While I wasn't able to win everything I wanted, it was still great to see them appear as not everyone would know to come to a place like wfigs, or to join a facebook group to move them on. I'm sure some of your points are valid regarding ebay, and some folk probably share your views, but I think ebay still has it's merits. It is possible to build relationships with some sellers on ebay and conduct transactions privately to cut out the 'middle men'.

I just sell on eBay when I buy a Hasbro or LJN lot on there and get doubles. It helps level out the cost and can sometimes can be fun.
Yeah, it would be very difficult to sustain a business and sell at reasonable prices if you ONLY had an eBay business. I assume many with a crazy amount of listings also do local events and swap meets...if not, I have no idea how they make a living.

And if those customers are buying from you and your making it work then well done. you are one of the fortunate ones.
