easy.
1. First and foremost and forever the Ramones. The greatest band ever. I've seen them many times in concert as well as solo. Awesome! 2. David Lee Roth era Van Halen. For my money there is no better front man than Roth. Simply amazing. I love his solo stuff too! 3. Colin Hay. He was the lead singer for Men at Work. I implore you to check out his solo stuff. You'll love it. 4. Colin James. An awesome blues/folk/rock and roll guy from Canada. Another one you need to listen to. 5. Green Day. I don't care if you call them punk or not. I like them a lot.

Green Day is my favorite band. They are amazing. You saw the ramones live. You lucky lucky bastard!!! LOL I am a lucky bastard! I've seen them as a group 5 times. The last time was on my birthday in June 1996 for Lollapalooza. Rancid went on before them. That was pretty damn cool. Joey also came out and sang with Cheap Trick. I've seen Joey and Dee Dee play a 4th of July show at Coney Island High in New York City, it was basically a upstairs apartment looking place. I was front row right in front of Dee Dee and he gave me his pick and Joey shook my hand from the stage. That was awesome. I've seen CJ play with Los Gusanos and then his solo stuff doing Ramones songs. I saw Marky Ramone and The Intruders and I got to sing "I don't care" with the band! That was f'ing awesome! I ALSO got to meet Marky and talk to him about his book coming out. The only one I was never able to meet was Johnny. I saw him play and was just memorized watching him play the guitar. There is no most pit than a Ramones mosh pit. LOL sorry to brag. Just typing all that is brining back great memories. However! As many times as they came through Chicago, I've never seen Green Day live! That will be changed if and when they come through again. LOL Here is a video of the Ramones playing Coney Island High. This wasn't the show I was at. lol

Matchbox Twenty As Tall As Lions The Summer Set Alex Band Foo Fighters I love that song "If I Go I'm Goin'". I need to try some more of his stuff out. I can't not recommend the first track off that album, called "That Moon Song."

I guess I'll try... Answers are listed in the form of: Band Name(Genre labels that seem to fit) Favorite Album (As of today... It usually changes quite frequently...) Reason for choosing. Pink Floyd(Rock/Prog Rock) AnimalsI could honestly listen to Pink Floyd all day, every day. I enjoy just listening to it as absolute music (music without meaning), as well as deeply listening to and connecting to the lyrics and emotion that goes into a song. They range from psychedelic to 60's pop to hard rock to folky-one-man-and-a-guitar to jam band to so many other sounds, and I love each and every one of them. Plus, I lost my virginity to the soundtrack of Dark Side of the Moon ( The Great Gig in the Sky specifically kicked things off... ) playing in the background, so that's a plus. Streetlight Manifesto(Ska/Punk/Rock) The Hands that ThieveI'm a music education major in college now who's primary instrument is the trumpet. Originally I loved that it was a band that rocked and also featured "my" instrument, but then I began to connect to a lot of the messages they conveyed in their lyrics, and the up-beat tempo's will always pull me out of a slump and make me ready to go. The Beatles(Rock/Pop) The Beatles (The White Album)I was one of those teens that thought they were too cool for The Beatles when I was growing up. "They were just the 60s version of N'Sync," I would say... "They were in the right place at the right time, and that was it. They weren't even that good at their instruments." "I Want to Hold Your Hand? Ha, GAY!" ... I am ashamed of this now, and have since seen the error of my ways. It's The ing Beatles. Led Zeppelin (Hard Rock/Metal/Blues) Houses of the HolyDo I really need to explain this one? Listen to the YouTube video... You'll get it. Black Sabbath(Heavy Metal/Hard Rock/Blues) Black SabbathMy first "favorite" band that I really remember having. They introduced me to metal and hard rock music, and while I've moved away from some of the heavier stuff in recent years, I'll never turn my back on Sabbath. All of these bands' music have played huge parts in my life, and have helped me through some tough situations. It's safe to say that I wouldn't be where I am today without them. Throw in the individual members from each bands' solo stuff too if that's a thing, but if not that's still my list.
