www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/chi-harold-ramis-dead-20140224,0,2259309.story "Ramis leaves behind a formidable body of work, with writing credits on such enduring comedies as "National Lampoon's Animal House" (which upon its 1978 release catapulted the film career of John Belushi, with whom Ramis acted at Second City), "Stripes" (1981) and "Ghostbusters" (in which Ramis also co-starred) plus such directing efforts as "Caddyshack" (1980), "National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983), "Groundhog Day" and "Analyze This."I'm not okay with this at all. Celebrity deaths rarely illicit a second glance from me, but dammit...not Egon!

This just straight up sucks. He was part of so much greatness whether in front or behind the camera, Ghostbuster, Stripes, Animal House, Caddyshack, Groundhog Day. And that's just to name a few.

This one hits home. A Comedic genius as far as writing and acting goes. Very intelligent and funny. One of the best over the last 30 years. I know every line, word for word, from start to finish of GB 1 & 2. I'm quite sad. RIP Egon

Man.....I am at a loss for words. I am shocked, stunned and saddened all rolled into one. 2014 is having a rough go as far as celebrity deaths are concerned. And we are only still in February yet. I will remember him always as Egon Spengler. Such a great, great actor. I will miss his acting. R.I.P. Harold Ramis

"Did you hear about Harold Ramis?"
"No, what happened?"
"E-gone"
Too soon, co-worker. Too soon.

A). Very funny man.... I had no idea he was 69 years old! Still way too young to go....
B). Now I really WISH they'd done Ghostbusters 3..... they've talked & politicked about it for so many years.... now it looks like we'll never get a complete Ghostbusters reunion.
This sucks on so many levels.

Just a friendly reminder to all that the plot for the Ghostbusters Video Game is basically the plot for the original third movie.
In other words, if you haven't already, play the game and have a Ghostbusters experience.

That game is great, I'm glad they did it because it was better than GB 3 would have been anyway (unless it'd been made back in the early 90s obviously).

What a shame. I loved Ghostbusters, but that was only a fraction of my love collectively for this man. Caddyshack, National Lampoon's, Multiplicity, Bedazzled, ing Animal House, so much love that I can let Year One slide haha. Just sucks. Comedic genius imo.
