I thought of the idea of this thread after recentlt rewatching the John Cena wrestlemania 28 promo. Now I realize that this may not happen for years to come but I'm curious if you think you will find yourself missing Cena once he finally calls it quits. I'm far from a Cena fan but I feel since he's been on top for so long shows have a weird feel when he's not there. You may hate him but him missing wrestlemania this year could potentially be a huge blow and give it a strange feel. The guy is a work horse also despite lacking some skills he's still on top and can have a great match now and then. I'm wondering if you will miss him when he's finally done or maybe gain new respect for him years after he retires for all the things he did for the company.

Of course I will, he's one of the few good things about the company.

I like Cena, but I don't love him to the point where I just have to have him on the show. I'll actually be excited, because it guarantees we FINALLY get a new top guy.

I'm at a strange point in my life with Cena. I liked him when he debuted, but when they kept shoving his down our throats I grew really tired of him. Then he started to take a step back from the title scene and just in general and he was somewhat enjoyable again.
I'm not his biggest fan, but I even know there will be a huge void when he is gone for good. I just hope WWE is ready when that time comes.
In the end, who knows, maybe I will miss him. For now, I'm content with him.

Yea, I guess so. I do like Cena and I think it's horsesh*t that so many claim he can't wrestle. Cause if they'd get the head out of their butt they'd realize he most certainly can.

I'm sure when it's all said and done and he ultimately gets inducted into the Hall of Fame, he will receive one of the greatest inductions and receptions from the fans of all time. Not a single person can doubt the amount of hard work he has put into the business, like him or not he's paid his dues.

sure ill miss him to an extent. but when he's gone, this company is in DEEP trouble, because they haven't set up a single person to be able to take his place, and when Cena was making his rise there was a plethora of BIG industry names around him to carry the load until he made it to the top. right now it's Cena & Orton....that's it. Everyone else is 2nd place or below.

I remember the day where everyone hated Mr. John Cena. Yep. Mid-Late 2000's, Cena lovers where hated here. Now, the Cena lovers are older, and make up alot of this sites population. Hahaha I remember everyone here creaming their pants when RVD beat him at ECW One Night Stand. People literally wished him injury so he would leave. Now, he's accepted. I personally won't mind him while he's gone. The talent tend to step up their game. WWE needs to line up some other talent that can fill hos shoes when he finally calls it quits. However, I see him being with WWE until the 20's atleast. He is this generations Hogan.

Of course. He's the best in the world in the last decade and one of the top guys ever. Hopefully by the time he hangs 'em up there'll be new top guys (Reigns, Bryan etc) and it'll be like when Shawn Michaels retired -- sad, but not a vital blow to the company.

Absolutely. Cena is, in my opinion, the greatest worker of this generation. It'll be a sad day when he calls it quits.
