Not exactly on topic, but I don't get why the WWE never used Saturn well after the Radicalz split? IMO, he was the most talented one of the bunch. Really? For me I thought he was hands down the weak link, hence why he was used the way he was. He was a jack of all trades, decent all around, but nothing about him stood out. He wasn't amazing in the ring like the others and he didn't have the personality to make it big. Benoit was The Crippler, Eddie was Latino Heat, Malenko was a 007 wannabe.....Saturn had nothing. I'm pretty sure he was punished for decking that jobber for real, which is why he went into the moppy gimmick. Which was pretty popular too lol. I always liked him, never liked Malenko at all. I found him as boring as crap in the ring.

the MAIN reason was Kevin Sullivan being named the head booker. Sullivan and Benoit had a nasty.contentious backstage relationship mostly due to Kevin's wife Nancy Sullivan (Woman) leaving Kevin for Benoit. WCW and Sullivan tried to placate Benoit and prevent him from leaving by giving him the World Championship,at Souled Out on January 16,2000. this didn't work and when Benoit arrived at the arena the next night, January 17th, he found out his protest of Sullivan as booker fell on deaf ears, so the story goes he literally walked up to the first referee he saw, handed him the World Championship Belt, grabbed his bags, and walked out of the building and WCW .

Bret said in his book that Benoit phoned him asking him if he should go to WWF, and Bret told him to. He also said that Benoit offered to put anyone over but WCW didn't go for it.

I always had a feeling WCW didn't want to even have Benoit on the show to put someone over for the belt. Which would have made more sense. I don't know why they wouldn't do it, other than to keep any attention off Benoit since they knew he was going to McMahonland. The whole thing came off very odd. On a side note, I almost always forget he technically held the wcw title when I think if his accomplishments. Sad to think a world title victory is little more than a footnote ......but I guess his title reign in WWE became that as well.

It was dumb but at least it gave Saturn some character. And I could never be bored by somebody so talented in-ring as Malenko was. Plus I thought the silent "ice man" gimmick was cool (no pun intended). His feud with Jericho in WCW was great.
