I Want Suarez to stay with JGR, Truex can take the 41 or the 1.

A few notes from Adam Stern..
- People close to Stewart-Haas Racing have "become increasingly resigned" in recent works to the likely fate of losing Kurt Busch and Monster Energy to Chip Ganassi and the No. 1 team in 2019. It remains unclear who, if anybody, will fill the No. 41 - Arris may be contractually bound to Joe Gibbs Racing even with Suarez moving from the No. 19.
- It's unclear if he already agreed to the move to Leavine Family Racing but sources say that Stewart-Haas likely would not be interested in Suarez without Arris.

Matt DiBenedetto is off looking for greener pastures after announcing he is leaving his current ride at Go FAS Racing after this season. Hopefully he finds it. With good equipment, I feel he could do decent. Better than the 25-30th place [or worse] he runs with Go Fas.

Brad needs to send Jeffrey Earnhardt a fruit basket because he’s basically gift wrapped the last two races for him

Playoff time. Hopefully this stretch of bad luck is done at Indy for MTJ, what the broken brake rotor that f***ed the engine yesterday? Man he was on the move too, 20 laps and he made 20 spots.

Trevor Bayne, it has been officially announced, will not be returning to the 6 car in 2019. Opens it up for Matt Kenseth to return full-time. Or the rumour of Ryan Newman to leave RCR and take Caterpillar with him to RFR. Caterpillar said their preference is to remain with Newman, even though they only sponsor about 25% of the season.
And Daniel Suarez was the lone driver penalized this week. The JGR 19 team has been assessed with the loss of 10 driver points and 10 owner points.

And we can use this time to post our Playoff predictions!
So we know that the Round of 16, the full Chase field, is:
18 - Kyle Busch 4 - Kevin Harvick 78 - Martin Truex Jr. 2 - Brad Keselowski 14 - Clint Bowyer 22 - Joey Logano 41 - Kurt Busch 9 - Chase Elliott 12 - Ryan Blaney 20 - Erik Jones 3 - Austin Dillon 42 - Kyle Larson 11 - Denny Hamlin 10 - Aric Almirola 48 - Jimmie Johnson 88 - Alex Bowman
Who do you see eliminated in each round?
Round of 16 eliminations: Austin Dillon, Alex Bowman, Aric Almirola Round of 12 eliminations: Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer Round of 8 eliminations: Jimmie Johnson, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano
Leaving my prediction of the Championship Four to be a repeat of 2017, with Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Busch. And if it does happen as a 2017 repeat, I *REALLY* hope it's a FULL repeat, and MTJ sends Furniture Row Racing off into the sunset as a two-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship winning team.
I do have a dark horse pick, well, pickS. To shake the whole thing up, I could actually see Ryan Blaney or Erik Jones making the Championship Four. RB ran solidly enough to get in on points with 2 races to go before the field was set. And Erik almost won the Brickyard 400. They've both run well enough that points could get them there, if the top guys have trouble at any time before Miami.

Bayne is a good kid but he was just not getting it done. Hopefully Kenseth can turn things around

With Bayne's health I dont see too many "big name" teams in Cup taking a shot with him. Its a shame he never got to run in good equipment though. People always trashed him saying he wasnt very good then they stuck Kennseth in the car and he did no better, sometimes worse. Hopefully he can latch on to a solid Xfinity team and have a decent career in the "minors" kinda like Elliott Sadler has.
Missed the Brickyard since I was on vacation. Brad K is getting hot at the right moment. I feel like Harvick, Kyle & Brad K are locks for the finals. MTJ has just been slipping week by week and with the announcement of FRR closing, I kinda feel like they're just going to mail it in. I wouldnt be surprised if Bowyer, Chase or Kurt Busch slip into that 4th spot

I fully expect Ty to take over the 31 and Hemric will get the 13 if he even stays with RCR.
