I bought it but I just can't pull myself away from Dark Souls 2. I must have played 10+ hours of that yesterday. I am hoping to get some Titanfall in tomorrow.

Easily one of the best First Person shooters in recent memory. It reminds me a ton of Halo 3 in a way. It's as described, everything is so fast and fluid. It's a great game. Wish there was more customization options though.

I like it. But I think it's a huge ing ripoff that there is no single player campaign or the ability to play against bots only. I think this sets a very bad precedent. I really hope other devs don't follow this model...

I do like my single player campaigns, but I don't really see how the game mechanics would work for singlep layer ot be honest. i'm ok with a multiplayer campaign, I just wish more work had been put into it to make it a real story and a good one at that. That being said, while I do feel it's a bit sucky, at least they're not just rushing out and making crap single player without putting any work into it at all like Call of Duty and Battlefield do these days. I'm personally ok with the lack of customization, because games like CoD just have too damn much now. I like that with titanfall, there are only like 2 of each weapon. You just kind of get on and stsrt playing. But I'm sure in the second game there will be a ton more customization. It is a new IP, so they don't have the luxery of including a ton of stuff in the first one. They have to get he mechanics working right, and that sort of thing. Now, they have a base to build upon. But in my opinion, the far more damaging game to the future of the industry people aren't going on about more, which is alarming to me is Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes. Seriously, you're paying 20-30 for a god damn DEMO. Stop it, with how it's selling, this might become the ing norm, and if it does, I'll be done with new age gaming.

I think the future of most games will turn to the freemium model. It's very unfortunate. I was so pissed off when Killer Instinct was announced as a free game with DLC. Once again, just a bad precedent. Back to Titanfall, I think it is a very lazy game. There was no excuse whatsoever to make it as limited as it is. And I totally agree with you about the plot. I have no ing clue what is going on. Personally, I find it difficult to play games that don't have a decent story. What's insulting is the fact that there is a storyline that they are obviously trying to get you to be a part of. But it is just very convoluted and not having a single player campaign only makes it that much more difficult to follow. I just received Dead Rising today. I hope this makes me feel better about choosing the One over PS4.

To me, titanfall is just fun to play with friends and a ood time killer when i only want to play like 2 matches to kill like half an hour. I don't think it's the best thing since sliced bread, but I've had more fun with it than withGhosts and Battlefield 4 easily

Okay I have to follow up my original post...
The game has gotten severely addicting for me. The mechanics are amazing, and it's just generally a lot of fun. I still have no idea WTF is going on in terms of plot though.

Yeah, it's simplistic and not a ton there, but the mechanics are great, and it just feels different from the other games we have, and it's just fun, nothing to take too seriously or praise god about, but just fun.

I've been playing a lot in the past few weeks, got up to generation 3, level 50. It's a fun game, however, it's lite on content and would have been better suited at $40 in my opinion. That said, the titans and vertical play of the pilot give it it's own identity in the face of the current multiplayer FPS market. I don't understand how anyone could go back to a series like COD after playing this. By the way, stryder + triple threat is unstoppable.

Yeah you have to get help from your teammates to deal with Stryders. I think a lot of people don't realize how critical teamwork is in this game. I've seen teams stacked with Gen 10s and 9s lose to a bunch of Gen 2s simply because the Gen 2s worked well together. Obviously though the level of a player is not always an accurate indication of how good or bad they are. I'm a Gen 5 and honestly I play like a Gen 3 at best. Perceptions Anyways, yeah I agree about what you said in regards to COD, etc. I can't imagine playing a different shooter now. The mechanics of Titanfall are out of this world. So much ing fun.

Level hasn't been a good way to judge since the post COD FPS level system is just based accumilating exp by putting time in. I wish leveling was based on wins and losses like in Halo 2&3.

I don't like that simply because you may have a crappy team. I've lost games where I was dominating and if I had had at least one mother er who could sneeze without dying we would have won. And the opposite holds true in that crappy players luck out and get put on a good team and they piggyback. Plus the challenges get more difficult as you gen up. Getting to gen 5 required this really annoying challenge with the charge rifle. And they get pretty ridiculous and time consuming after that. It's hard not to get better at the game when you do them.

It can be seen as a negative, but as it showed for Halo 2&3, people at least try to win the game when it's like that. I usually play PH where I know I will finish 1st or 2nd every game and can carry a team to victory or I play CTF where I know I can hold the opposing team to one flag capture or less. LTS is the worst because you get people who just rush the enemies without using any of their titan abilities. The whole lone wolf mentality only really works in pilot hunter in this game, but people can't seem to grasp that. As for the generation challenges, they are good in theory, but I think they just make the harder for your team. It turns all of the players into selfish players who only care about getting those challenges so they can level up. Yes, some people can adapt to the challenges and do well with them, but most just end up hurting their teams using the required weapons needed to fulfill they challenge. I doubt I will go past generation three since I've gotten really good with my carbine for my pilot and my triple threat stryder titan. And that combo gives me the best chance to do really well and help win the game.
