Usually WrestleMania has the big special feel to it, and with this being the 30th WrestleMania, I expected it to be the same if not better. However, something feels off about this Mania this year. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to some of the matches, but the matches that we know about just seem odd to me.
- Cena Vs. Bray is just a 100% odd match. I really don't understand why they are not having Hogan wrestle a tag match with Cena. He would not have to even take a bump to be a tag partner. This match with just these 2 in it, seems like a Raw match, not a WM match. I mean they over half way teased on Raw Monday that team of Hogan and Cena.
- Having DB face HHH at WrestleMania is GREAT, but they have already pretty much ruined that match, because now wrestling fans with almost any knowledge of the business knows that DB is beating HHH. It should still be a good match, but I don't like knowing the finish before the match even starts, and to do that to HHH's match seems like a bad move.
- Orton and Batista for the title will be a disaster, I guess that is why they have to add DB.
- Battle Royal, seems cool, but I wish they would add more under card matches (they could make them short but have actual matches). It seems wrong that a lot of great talent will be wasted in that match.
- The Shield.....I really like all 3 members of the Shield, and have hopes that they use these 3 guys in a good way at WrestleMania.
- Undertaker Vs Brock should be great, but at the end of the day it is a rematch that will sadly most likely never be able to touch their 2002 Cell match.
So like I said, I'm looking forward to some of it, but I think they have missed the ball big time this year. I still have hopes for a 3 way or 4 way Tag Team Championship match, so many teams have worked hard trying make the tag division mean something again and they deserve a spot to shine at Mania.
What do you all think about how Mania is shaping up this year? Seem kind of odd to you all?

To me, Wrestlemania has never been all that unpredictable. There are expections, of course, but it's usually relatively cut and dry. This year is no different. The Daniel Bryan situation is the good kind of predictable as far as I'm concerned - the kind in which you're pretty confident the major payoff is coming. I can't really complain about that.
The Undertaker's match is always predictable, but I think they'll put on a hell of a show.
I'm very excited about Wyatt/Cena.
I'm actually quite excited about this card - far moreso than last year's.

WrestleMania XXX is not having a traditional build. I do like some of the matches that are set i motion. I am looking forward to Brock Lesnar/Undertaker and Daniel Bryan/Triple H. John Cena/Bray Wyatt is a SummerSlam match but I can see the logistics of having this at 'Mania. The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal looks promising. I could be wrong but I can see them putting that as their pre-show match. I am most certain;y looking forward to seeing what their going to do with The Shield. Batista/Randy Orton is just as cold as putting a can of Pepsi in the freezer.
WrestleMania XXX has potential to be one of the better 'Mania's in the last eight years. I can see the WWE pulling a Bret Hart at WrestleMania X with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX. The last visual you want to see is the fans chanting "Yes" as Daniel Bryan celebrates as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Honestly, about half the time people buy Wrestlemania because they always do. WWE wants you to buy Wrestlemania because it's WWE, not because of who's on it.

I will say it the card up this point is very odd, but I think I will enjoy it. My biggest problem lies in Cena vs Wyatt, I just can think of a scenario in which this ends well. I doubt think Cena should be losing at WM XXX, but I also don't like the idea of Wyatt losing so early in his run and I think have a DQ occur at Mania is robbing the fans. Either way I am interested to see how they play that out and have a feeling that they are going to somehow miraculously make it work so that both look strong. I am not to worried about the Bryan vs Triple H Match as while they have made it obvious that Bryan will beat Triple H, I have no clue what will happen in the Triple Threat, which is a good thing. I think the Battle Royal be great with either Big Show, Cesaro, Reigns, or Big E winning. I think Taker vs Brock will also exceed the expectations of seemingly everyone here. And that is all we have so far and IMO, it is already a much more promising card than WM 29.

It's a okay card. But Shield better do something meaningful.

I'm just bugged that The Shield doesn't have a match yet.

Aside from the notable absence of the Shield in a match I'm fine with WM and look forward to it. I still think they should've went with UT vs Cena this year though.
Adding Bryan into the mix in the fashion they have has livened up proceedings greatly....BUT they need to get behind Bryan 100% after WM too......his story with the Authority needs to pick up pace after WM not decline.

28 was the last time I was really pumped for a Mania.

28 was the last time I was really pumped for a Mania. Remember after the one RAW we had Rock/Cena, Taker/HHH inside HIAC, Punk/Jericho for the WWE Title & Bryan/Sheamus for the World Title announced for Mania. I couldn't ing wait.

I think it would've been a waste to use UT-Cena this year for 2 reasons: 1. It should be UT's last match - if he has more than one left in him, and always has great WM matches, why play this card earlier than you have to? 2. WWE already have a 'WrestleMania Moment' primed and ready to go this year in Bryan winning the titles. There's no need to add another one which would lead to a 'hat on top of a hat' situation i.e. two huge moments that both deserve to close WM taking away from one another. UT-Cena is not dependent on a specific WM, but the Bryan moment HAS to be this year. I suppose you could push it to SummerSlam and have UT-Cena as the 'Mania main event, but it would be far easier and probably better in the long run to hold off Undertaker's match with Cena.

In all honesty I would of been more than happy for Undertaker to have his last Match this year and for that to be against John Cena. I'm not overly fussed about them dragging it out any longer, Wrestlemania XXX would of been the ideal place to do it. They also could have done The Rock vs Brock Lesnar, Triple H vs CM Punk with Austin as the Ref, I'm sure if they wanted to they could of even pushed for Austin vs Punk. I just don't think frantically adding Bryan to the Title picture in a last minute bid to save Wrestlemania cuts it. Sure, it will be a Wrestlemania moment, but the Card should be a lot stronger that's for sure.

Really not excited about this Mania, the prospect of watching Brayn wrestle twice turns me off greatly.

I really agree with all of your points. not super-excited this year. for Wrestlmania XXX, I honestly expected a more "retro" feel...or like the involvement of more past Mania stars in some way, whther it be match-wise,or promo's,or something. so far we have Hogan. they've got Ric Flair, Bret Hart,Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg and billy Gunn,Mick Foley on a per diem deal, Ulitmate Warrior, Jake Roberts, etc. available. let'ssee you use them!
EDIT : looking back,WrestleMania X and WrestleMania XX didn't have any kind of retro/heritage feel to the event or matches either. guess I shouldn't have expected anything with this one.
