Anyone else on here Find that alot of Ebay sellers are insane? Some of the prices they ask for things is just outrageous, and even when they dont sell 10x over, they still ask the same price hoping for that one moron who will buy it, I just dont get it, why do they try and gauge everyone? is it so hard to ask NORMAL prices, why do they think Ebay will make them millions.
I mean some stuff is ridiculous, like some ppl selling say 1 mattel Arm, and they are asking 15 bucks plus shipping, lol, what is that? or the ppl who switch one head for another, and all of a sudden the price of it went up 500% because now its a "Custom", then there are the ppl who sell a page ripped out of a magazine with an ad on it, and they want 50 bucks for it..I specially hate it when there are 50 exact same items, 49 of them go for say 20 bucks, but that 50th person thinks his exact same item can go for 150... Thats the Stuff that really Grinds My Gears

Sucks to be them, I could have been an easy sell. Don't get me started on shipping. I always offer Free Shipping these days or at least at cost shipping. I almost bought a figure this week that was pretty high priced, but he was loose AND the shipping was 12.99. The buyer was in the US. No thanks, not paying $9 more for a figure because you want to make a few bucks on "shipping and handling."

The only thing on ebay that annoys me is if I am looking for a certain thing and all I get is stuff listed as wwe/wwf/wcw/tna/roh/czw

A few things really get to me on ebay.
1. The shipping cost. I am not going to pay more for shipping then i am for the figure.
2. I never bid on an auction that has a stock photo.I have learned my lession the hardway on that one.
3. People need to understand that when you put an item up for auction and it sells that you need to sent the seller the item. (I have had this happen a few times)

I ALSO hate the "sellers" that, When your item doesnt arrive, Say "I will send out new one tommorow, please wait 10-22 days for ship" all the while they havent shipped anything out, they are just waiting for the time to expire to open a case, That happened to me once, so now i tell them A case will be open until I receive my replacement or original, so far I have been lucky and havent had to follow through with any , but I will never let them get away with that excuse again

The thing that really upsets me is when people will leave negative feedback just to try and screw with you.
I have sold around 30 items and am in constant contact with the buyer. Have only had 1 problem and that was with somebody who could not follow the simple rules I lay out in my auctions. I state that the item(s) must be paid for within 2 days after the auction ends or the item will be re-listed.
The one negative I have gotten was from a guy who had not paid after 9 days and I refunded his money.
Most of the time, you just have to look at the feedback of the seller. Because they have a couple negative feedbacks does not mean they are a bad seller. It could be a situation where somebody was trying to screw with them.

Some sellers really do ramp up the cost of shipping, especially to other countries. But it's important to consider some things, namely, how is the seller shipping the item? If it's Priority International, then the high prices should be expected. It's an expensive service, but one that provides tracking numbers and confirms delivery to the destination. This isn't the case with First Class International, which is less expensive, but also leaves the seller vulnerable to the "I didn't get my item" cases, where they end up losing the item, the money for the item, and shipping costs.

That happen to me couple of times here and eBay. Shipped the item first class and buyer said they never got it. That's why I stop selling overseas or just charge a high price for priority mail so I don't get screwed. PayPal always side with the buyer if you can't provide a valid tracking number. Who knows if the buyer is being honest or just trying to get over you.

99% of my experience with eBay is positive, With the exception being sellers not being honest with dispatch dates & one person who didn't pay for a fig after 3days and bitched at me for asking them to pay! -.-

Well, Thats why when I ask a seller about shipping to Canada, I always tell them i dont mind paying for tracking, it gives me peace of mind to know the package is insured, and the seller has peace of mind that I cant say I never got it, unless i never got it... I dont mind paying for shipping if i really want it, but 70% of the sellers out there, charge you alot more than what shipping is, and dont have the decency to refund you if they know it cost alot less than what you paid, and the shipping cost is usually posted right on the package, so its not like we dont know how much they paid... but anyways, not trying to make an argument, just tellin you how i feel about it, and i know the customs on GSP doesnt go to the seller, I was just saying how dumb the prgram is, because we usually do not have to pay the customs, so they are forcing us to pay it no matter what, and odds are, if customs wants us to pay, they will make us pay for the package twice before we get it...... Would just much more simple if ppl would just say, I ONLY SHIP WITH TRACKING...they would sell more, they would get less "I didnt receive items" and ppl all over the world will have the same oppurtunities to buy an item that the Americans do... The shipping part of Sellers I dont really put all the blame on them, its 10 per cent them, 80% The postal service Ramming it up your ass, and 10 percent buyers trying to scam the sellers

Once I went to a Flea Market and saw a sign that I loved. The sign said.....
If it was your stuff, it would be worth more.
I sell on Ebay. I try to be as fair as I can with shipping. 1 Mattel figure (loose) will cost me about 4 dollars to ship with USPS. But that's just what USPS wants, I still have to go buy an envelope to ship a figure to you, have you seen what envelopes cost? About 1 dollar. So just to ship something to you it costs me 5 dollars, that's me not charging you to take time out of my day to drive to the post office, wait in line, and ship. Knowing this I can see why RSC charges what it does for shipping, they have to pay what I pay PLUS pay it's employee.
Now as for what I charge for a figure. It's all dictated by what people are paying for that figure. 15 dollars for an Arn Anderson figure doesnt seem like much to me. If it's new that actually seems like a good deal to me. With Mattel I've noticed people spend more than they did with Jakks. When Ryback debuted I listed a Skip figure on Ebay for 5 dollars, that thing ended up selling for 70 and it was loose.
I lost track, I charge what I feel is fair for a figure. You may not know this but Ebay and Paypal want percentages of what you sell. So I cant sell figures to loose money. I cant sell figures just to pay Ebay and Paypal. If a figure costs me 10 dollars at retail and I wish to sell it on ebay I have to sell it for at least 15 dollars to make minimal profit after fees.
This is why I dont usually buy figures to sell. I usually sell what I dont want anymore. But again, im not going to go to the post office and give you a figure for free.
Little shipping story.
Ebay is so in favor of the buyer.........
I always post in description how your item will be shipped. So one time I ship a figure in an envelope, as was listed. The buyer gets the figure and then leaves a negative because the package was smashed in shipping. The figure was fine, just the packaging was damaged. So now that leaves a negative mark against me despite the fact that the buyer got what he paid for and knew before hand how it would be shipped. Yet as a seller you can not leave a negative no matter what.

I don't usually shop on eBay too much anymore, but I was perusing Elite Shawn Michaels just for curiosity's sake and saw that someone has one of the new WMXXX ones with the stomach hair up for $199. First thing I thought was - you gotta be ing kidding me; no one's is gonna pay that much.

I sold a DVD tonight that cost me $0.01 total out of pocket (long story, don't care to tell it.. not a positive experience) for $13. It had a really low starting bid on it, like $2 or something, and went unbidded for two or three rotations through. I always put a Buy it Now on my auctions of the most I want from an item. Usually what I paid for it originally. That was if the auction ends with a BIN, I walk away happy. The auction start price is the lowest I'll sell it for, and if it sells for that, I'm satisfied.

I'm not defending people who over charge. I'm just saying there is other cost more than what actual shipping costs.
