Not much to discuss..Was a great Gimmick...they had a peice of gold with boss man/nailz fued....would have had a better fued with Undertaker, but whatever finicial problems they had, they couldnt come to terms, went to court and thas the end of something that could have been pretty damn good

Yes, I dunno the exact details of the money issue, but according to bret hart. John Nord was standing by the door during their meeting...then he heard screaming, and a bang, supposedly Nailz choked Mcmahon out, then supposedly called the cops to say Mcmahon had sexually harassed him

The character was useless after his feud with Bossman ended.
Plus, he couldn't work.

Just what the f*ck is this?!? my obscure gimmick threads hijacked? LOL....... Yeah Nailz was on my list to do. I was just giving them about 5 days apart so the board wouldn't have to many. But Ill push my next one out a couple of days. Nailz was a rubbish worker and the Gimmick was SO specific it was over when Bossman was done with him. BUT he did get a Hasbro figure.....more than Simba or Battle Kat got!!

Like other's said, once his feud with Boss Man came to an end, his career was pretty much done. The whole character was too tailored to be Boss Man's arch enemy, and just didn't work on it's own. Still remember his brief appearance in WCW as the Prisoner when he faced Sting at Slamboree. It was funny, I went back to find video of the match, and when he's first announced and comes out, you can hear some fans chanting Boss Man, Boss Man. Still remember the pictures they put out of Boss Man after the attack from Nails, where he was all bruised with ice packs on his body. They did a good job for that feud I have to say. And how can you forget the way the distorted his voice during the promos.

I also remember "The Prisoner"....good god.

I kind of have a soft spot for Nailz because of his Hasbro figure, but my god was he absolutely awful really. As awful as the likeness of his Hasbro was lol.

I liked Nailz and yet I was frightened by him as a kid.
His Hasbro was impossible to find for me. The yellow card guys that were scheduled for August 93, I didn't find until late 1995 at KB and only then I found everyone but Nailz. Finally had to order him for $25. Now with ebay, it's much easier to find.

Yeah, Nailz was pretty brutal. I remember his debut when he came out of the crowd and beat Boss Man to a pulp. Too bad he wasn't that good of a wrestler. I loved the gimmick, but he was a terrible wrestler.
Here's his debut:
And here's one of his sh*tty promos:

I'm gonna be honest here, I thought that he was Doc Hendricks because he had "Doc" on the back of his jumpsuit. THAT'S how bad his likeness was lol, and I only got him loose from my grandfather that he bought from a car boot sale.

^ Wrong spelling on Dok Hendrix, lol. His name was a combination from Dokken and Jimi Hendrix for those that weren't aware.
And the D.O.C. on Nailz jumpsuit was short for Department Of Corrections, if I am not mistaken.

How about when he went to WCW after his WWF stint, he was repackaged as The Prisoner. Didn't the WWF sue WCW over gimmick infringement?

Yeah but as a kid (and I'm from the UK so had no idea what the Department of Corrections was) I didn't know that lol.

I'm going to say it was Bruce Prichard, I think, who said they had actually spent some money and time behind the scenes building an Undertaker-Nailz feud before he got fired.
"shudder"....
