Too old to be waiting for TRU to open?

Those mo fos should open early on the weekends. Mine does restock on Sundays though so maybe you'll be in luck check the pallets for wwe elite boxes if they are indeed stocking up.

Thats me now and going to be me in 10years, the rush and thrill of what your going to find in tru is like no other.

In my mid-thirties now and was doing the same at my local TRU this morning. I see nothing wrong with being passionate about your hobby. There is a lot worse people can do. Collecting toys is not a bad thing at all in my eyes.

You gotta do what you gotta do

I'm 32, and a few months ago I was back in my hometown for a visit. I was out checking out my old haunts and came upon TRU. Unfortunately it didn't open for another 5 minutes, I think it opened at 10. I was so determined not to be associated with the greazy (sic), obese, balding, sweatpant-wearing, unwashed, virginal, unemployed 45 year old scalpers that I walked around in TJ Maxx (across the parking lot) for ten minutes just so I wasn't in the initial doorbusting wave. That's not to say that I haven't been in the first wave in my younger days, as I used to race to the fig aisle to ensure that I had a chance at the ones I wanted. These days I prefer to avoid the scalpers' odor cloud altogether and wait until their scum isotopes have dissipated.

Its not so much age, I don't blame you for trying to get what you want before having to pay Ringside high prices for figures available at retail. I just feel very weird about sitting outside of any store waiting for it to open. It isn't just TRU, I see people standing outside waiting for Rite Aid to open.

Exactly right. There's so many worse things to do in the world than collecting toys. It's a hobby just to keep you going day to day. Plus it's actually interesting and fun, and for more, it's a relaxer. I love going on this website and ebay just to relax my mind from all of the stress

I love collecting. I love the chase. I love being the first person to a fresh case or new stock sitting on the shelves.

I'm 26 turning 27 in a month. My cousins have severe drug issues in and out of rehab. I took the right path and busted my ass to where I need to be in life. I feel that if I'm spending 20-40 bucks a week on figures I'm good and it can be much much worse. I could be them. I'm a teacher with a masters degree and have a career. This is my hobby and no one should tell us or talk down to us cause we buy figures or how old we are when were waiting outside a store.

As long as your not doing it to scalp then I see no problem with it. Don't let other people judge what you like and what you do. As long as your normal, routine priorities are in check, then go right ahead!

About to head over to one, myself. Hoping I don't run into these scalper maniacs! haha
