Like the title says, please, no more store exclusive PPV sets. They don't even make sense. K-mart's Survivor Series with two reissued figures wearing non-Survivor Series themed attires and ToysRus with the TLC set, again, I don't think those were even attires worn at previous TLC matches. If these were non-exclusive heritage sets, then sure. Otherwise, go away.
My local Kmart got one case of basic 36 on their shipper cube back in late January. That's been it. All the pegs are clogged with Best of 2013 and Survivor Series. Hooray for being able to only pick from two figures but having a a full case pack of them, right?!?
Toysrus, BOPPV problem aside, has their second biggest problem with 4 or 5 pegs full to the brim of TLC figures.
Anybody else's stores, particularly Kmart, having this problem?

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! Please for the love of all that is sane stop. I'm tired of the one basic that just doesn't sell sitting on the shelf forever. My TRU is full of the TLC ppv figures that no one wants. Before my kmart closed it was pretty much just tribute John Cenas and Big Shows and Kane with the title stolen and Kofi.

Yea i tend to agree here... i think if they were dished out to every store who orders WWE figs by all means should have the chance to order them.

Unfortunately, they are far too good a money maker for Mattel to stop. The baf's are useless now since we get suited figures in the regular assortments, but making simple repaints of people nobody wants and tricking us into buying them for a baf piece makes Mattel lots of money. Other toy lines have known that for a while. I hate it, too my friend.

I'm sick of American only stores getting exclusives! I've no problem with TRU because their worldwide, but I really don't appreciate every collector outside of North America being screwed outta figs because the stores don't operate in our country! -.-

Maybe I just live in a good area, but out of the 5 Kmarts in my county, none of them have had the Survivor Series figures since before Christmas.

You guys man..... I WANT LESS FIGURES!!!! STOP FINDING WAYS TO MAKE GUYS WE WANT!!! If anyone wanted Del Rio, Sheamus, Mark Henry, and Ryback, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Store exclusive sets have always been, regardless of the store or toy line for that matter, largely crappy repaimts that clog shelves and keep good stuff out. So yes, I do want less crappy repaints of peg warmers like Del Rio so I can find the standard sets. Basic 37 has barely shown its face around here. It's a broken system and somebody somewhere isn't seeing that. A regular basic set gets stocked 2-3 times and then its gone. A store exclusive set, understandably, is ordered in massive quantities so stores can tout having something other retailers don't. Problem is: whoopty s--t! These are not worth going out of our way for. Additionally, apparently having a genuine conversation starter and a grievance that I feel is at least more legit than say, stomach hair, makes me a crybaby while said stomach hair thread hits 10 million pages of "worst than the holocaust. Mattel sodomized my Mom!"

He's had 9 figs this yearalone and still isn't shelf warming (ok his BP with Henry was bad) But I do agree. These sets need to stop. All I see when I walk on tru anymore is that TLC set del rio and sheamus. These cannot be selling. Same with khaki Cena. So please. Enough.

Hey, I get all the Ryback figures as well, but starting with about royal rumble 2013 he's started to linger a while. I love the singlet details, but Mattel has churned out so many that people are starting to feel fatigue. The Ryback/Henry set is my least favorite deco and I blame its warming so hard on Mark Henry as much as I do oversaturation of Ryback on the market. Of course areas tend to differ, bit we probably all agree that the TRU assortments are awful at stores across the country.

They aren't going to put new wrestlers like Big E, or The Shield in those sets because the BAF is the appeal. So they go with guys that have been made a lot of times already.

I see what you're saying here. Actually, the thread got a little derailed, as I didn't really mean BOPPV sets, but instead those PPV themed waves they tried out last year and hopefully won't again. I dislike the idea of Build a figures because, while sometimes a great way to get obscure figures, are usually a cash grab to make you buy crap you don't want or need. Case in point, to get JR I have to het another scrawny Elite Orton with the old head. The baf sets served a purpose once, and you'll see that I didn't really complain when it was Ricardo Rodriguez and Cole, and Teddy and Big Johnny. Now I'm holding basic Ricardo and basic Heyman, wondering why we still need baf sets. I'm willing to bend that JR probably wouldn't have gotten a basic, but Paul Bearer totally could.

If we're talking about repaints, then I totally agree. If it weren't for the Build-a-Ross, we probably wouldn't have a Curtis Axel Elite.

The PPV sets are dumb, but the Elite BOPPV figures aren't bad. They just need to pick better superstars with better attires.

I don't have a problem with store exclusives....but they can't stock 29 cases of them at once.
My TRU still has BAF Booker T figs and TLC figs left over from Chrismas and my Kmart is never going to get rid of these WMXXX Daniel Bryan and Rock Basics.
Exclusives are one thing...but when they are overstocked to the point that they prevent Basics and Elites being ordered...then they become a problem.
