Last night at a local indy show I was working beside Smith Hart, who was there to support his son Mike. Of the many topics we talked about was the possibility of Owen eventually going into the Hall of Fame.
He said the entire family, including Owen's kids are lightly pushing Owen's widow to allow the WWE to put him into the Hall of Fame. Owen's widow has been greatly considering it due to an outpouring from his fans over several social media sites. Also according to Smith Owen's son and daughter want to be the ones to induct Owen as a way of thanking his fans for keeping Owen's memory alive.
Personally I can't wait to see Owen head into the Hall of Fame, and if Owen's widow allows the kids to induct their father I think it would make for absolutely magical night

I mean that would be amazing. I hope it's true. Maybe since they are both older now and Martha can't really hide that world from them anymore, she will change her tune. It's a shame it has taken her this long to realize the following he had and the contributions he made to wrestling as a whole. She's entitled to be selfish, because who wouldn't be, but don't try to suppress his life's work, is all I'm saying.
And talk about the idea of potentially getting a Mattel figure I genuinely never expected to see...

Smith is a bit of a wacko. I'd take anything he says with a grain of salt.

Honestly I cant blame Owen Hart's wife. Every once in a while I get angry thinking about how stupidly Hart's life was wasted. It was such a poor and forgetful storyline and it cost Hart his life.

I also work for www.ringsirens.com where I am a contributing writer and interviewer.

Smith is a bit of a wacko. I'd take anything he says with a grain of salt. You are right there, but I have also heard Bret was saying Owen could get the call next year. So that is two family members essentially saying the same thing. I will be taking it with a grain of salt until the official WWE announcement.

Owen being featured on WrestleMania Rewind with Bret has me hoping he can go into the HoF soon. Perhaps Bret has smoothed it all over.

Who said anything about what she thinks? The guy I quoted who was talking about "taken her this long to realize". Yeah, I was saying I think it's a shame that she feels the way that she does. Not that she should have to think that. As I said, she's entitled to be bitter, but I personally think it's sad. It doesn't have to be her opinion, or your opinion, it's my opinion. Nowhere did I say otherwise. I agree with you on how she views wrestling, since she's openly demonstrated that opinion for 15 years, so I don't know what you're trying to get at. I guess you're entitled to think that I shouldn't think that way, but then that's really a conversation about quality of life and harboring hatred, more so than pro wrestling. Her family seemingly agrees with me if the report is true, which is questionable at best, but we know Bret feels that way. It's not about Martha being angry at WWE, we know this to be true. It's about her having respect for her husband's legacy and the mark he left on a lot of people he never even met, in my opinion. (Again, just my opinion, since I seemingly need to clear that up with you for the sake of you not paraphrasing me in an effort to make some condescending retort)
