WWE NXT: Thursday 1st May 2014…Okay, so I have a little competition when it comes to this timeframe! I’m not all that keen on the idea of Brodus Clay main eventing an NXT special to be honest. The steel-cage debut for NXT and Adrian Neville are definitely the draws behind this NXT Takeover main event, to be honest. Brief promo from Brodus, although I cannot see him taking the NXT Championship in a couple of weeks time. Brodus with a victory against Mojo Rawley made sense – it seems like Mojo really needs a kick up the rear to get him going again. Hopefully he finds something to do that isn’t annoying the smark marks. Bo Dallas’ segment was nice, and it’s pretty clear that he’ll soon be WWE bound, so I suspect that his career will be winding down here in NXT. Adam Rose is a character I toyed with debuting in my NXT thread, but I’m not sure how dimensional I can make his character. Hopefully you keep him in NXT long enough to figure that out before bringing him up to the main roster. Solomon Crowe debuting this soon in retrospect may be a mistake. I haven’t seen much that I like from him just yet. Just a heads up, you wrote ‘March 29th’ for NXT Takeover in Bayley’s promo. Bayley then getting a win against Charlotte made for an interesting decision – I’m also intrigued by you pairing Bayley up with Paige: they had great on-screen chemistry in the Performance session they did in September 2013 though, so maybe this could work. I suppose we’ll be seeing Paige and Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship later this month. Sami Zayn and Corey Graves meeting up to settle their dispute could be good – Falls Count Anywhere as a stipulation does make sense, however that’s two stipulations on NXT Takeover, a two hour show. Might be too much alongside the Steel-Cage match. Zayn then beating C.J. Parker was expected, putting Sami over here. Tyson Kidd’s interview comments came across as quite vanilla, frankly. I suppose that this is before he made his turn and injected a tonne of personality into his character, though. Enzo Amore beat Viktor? I’m not a fan of that at all in the NXT landscape. That’s really big for Enzo, and that’s too much in my eyes. Additionally, I don’t think Enzo’s leg had properly healed by this point, so I’m not sure about seeing him in action this soon. Hopefully the Ascension crush Enzo and Colin Cassady at NXT Takeover, anyway. Adam Rose defeating Aiden English made sense – that would be a fun contrast in personalities if this became more than a one-night angle. Your focus is however on Bo Dallas and Rose’s feud for the mean time though – but I do hope you revisit this clash of egos with Rose and English. Lastly, a good, expected win for Tyler Breeze against Tyson Kidd in what would surely be a decent main event. We’re pre-Tyson’s expected snapping, so I suspect that this was the focus here. I wonder what you have planned for Tyler, though. Overall, this was a good, basic show leading up to Takeover in a few weeks. I suspect we’ll be seeing more spicy promotion in the next few weeks.

Friday Night Smackdown: May 2nd, 2014 – Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri
A video package opens Smackdown, focusing on the upcoming War Games match at Extreme Rules. We see Randy Orton beat Dean Ambrose to earn the man advantage in that match before seeing highlights of the main event where Daniel Bryan put the WWE World Heavyweight Title on the line against Batista. That match ended via disqualification and Raw closed with a massive brawl. Cutting to the sold out arena in Kansas City, Missouri, Michael Cole and John “Bradshaw” Layfield introduce the show. “We are just two nights away from the one night a year when the WWE goes extreme! Before we get there though, we have a lot going on tonight. Not only is there going to be a contract signing for the Divas Championship match this Sunday, but our explosive main event, as ordered by the Authority, pits Sheamus against Dean Ambrose!
BAD NEWS BARRETT & THE REAL AMERICANS VS. ROB VAN DAM & THE USOS; Two matches set for this Sunday explode in this six man tag. Over the past year, the Usos have been involved in some really good six man tag matches and look to continue that trend. Early on, everyone gets a chance to strut their stuff and get in their trademark maneuvers. Things slow a bit as the heels work heat on Jey Uso. Returning from a commercial break, things begin to pick back up. The hot tag is made to Rob Van Dam, who reels off some kicks and busts out his guardrail leg drop on Cesaro. When he gets back in the ring, all hell breaks loose and everyone gets involved. Barrett goes for the Bull Hammer but RVD ducks and Barrett walks into a double superkick from the Usos. We get us some FLYING USOS as they wipe out Cesaro, allowing RVD to pin Jack Swagger with the Five Star Frog Splash. Rob Van Dam and the Usos defeat Bad News Barrett and the Real Americans!
Rob Van Dam and the Usos celebrate their win, while Bad News Barrett looks on furiously. The Real Americans seem to get into an argument but Zeb Colter calms them down. The Usos seem to be enjoying the image of their opponents for Sunday not being on the same page. A vignette airs hyping the upcoming debut of Bo Dallas. At the end of the video, the word BOLIEVE flashes across the screen and Bo Dallas is in the background.
Returning to the arena, the ring is set up for a contract signing. Vickie Guerrero is going to be leading it as she introduces the newest member of the WWE Divas division, Paige! The “Anti-Diva” comes out to a hearty pop and gets in the ring. Begrudgingly, Vickie introduces the Divas Champion herself, AJ Lee. She skips out, flanked by Tamina Snuka. She stands across from Paige as Vickie continues. “You are both here to be civil and to sign the contract for your Submission match in two nights at Extreme Rules.” She goes to say more but Tamina snatches the microphone and hands it to AJ. “That’s enough from you Vickie, you can go now.” Vickie shouts that she’s staying, but Tamina backs her down and she leaves. “Paige. I haven’t had the chance to tell you this, but I don’t like you and I haven’t for a long time. I know a lot of people are probably wondering how I could come to that conclusion when you just came into my life a few weeks ago but it’s pretty clear. You see, I have been your Divas Champion for 320 days now but during that time, there has been another name in my ear. Instead of people talking about how I’ve beaten every single Total Diva in the company, I just kept hearing about you and what you were doing down in NXT. That is disrespectful, just like it was when you interrupted me the night after WrestleMania. This Sunday, I will show you why I’m the best Diva in the world when I make you tap out.” AJ drops the microphone and signs the contract. Paige picks up her microphone to respond. “So that’s it? That’s the big reason why you don’t like me? Jealous? And here I thought you were different than the other girls around here. You can call yourself the best Diva in the world all you want because I’m no Diva. I’m something completely different that you, Tamina and every other girl in the back have never experienced. I am the current reigning and defending NXT Women’s Champion and this Sunday, I add that title around my waist.” Paige signs the contract and comes face to face with AJ. You can see their lips move as they smack talk each other and AJ shoves her challenger. Paige goes to retaliate but Tamina steps in front and goes to war with Paige. Just as Paige seems to gain the upper hand, AJ nails her from behind. Tamina plants Paige with a slam and holds her in place so AJ can apply the Black Widow. AJ screams “TAP! TAP! TAP!” as Tamina takes Paige’s hand and makes her tap out.
A recap from Raw is shown where Alberto Del Rio decimated Dolph Ziggler’s close friend, Zack Ryder. Del Rio kicked Ryder in the skull, similar to what he did against Dolph during their rivalry last year. Ryder was taken to a local hospital after Raw, and while he doesn’t have a concussion, he has been told to take it easy over these few days. DOLPH ZIGGLER VS. FANDANGO; The winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal comes out with his trophy and tries to be his usual Showoff self, but you can tell that his mind is still on the condition of his friend. Fandango looks to take advantage of this early and goes right to work. He hits some knee drops and a slingshot leg drop for a near fall, all the while throwing in some dance moves in between. However, it was a dance move that cost him as Dolph hit him with a loud superkick. It sends Fandango stumbling to the corner and he follows with a splash. He hits the mat and Dolph goes with the heart attack elbow drops, looking like a man possessed as he just hits elbow after elbow. Dolph polishes this one off with the Zig Zag. Dolph Ziggler defeats Fandango!
The referee raises Dolph Ziggler’s arm as the WWE Universe cheers for his victory. He seems to have gained some of his swagger back and he gains momentum with Extreme Rules less than 48 hours away!
Renee Young is standing by with Kofi Kingston. She asks for his thoughts heading into a match against a brute like Titus O'Neil, just two days before his United States Title match. Kofi responds, "I see what you're saying Renee. This match probably isn't the best of ideas with Extreme Rules so close. But that's the point. I have made my issues with what Christian has become perfectly clear. He's a worm of a man and that's now what our United States Champion should be. I'm not going to try and wiggle out of this match. I'm going to beat Titus O'Neil tonight and beat Christian at Extreme Rules." RYBAXEL VS. R-TRUTH AND XAVIER WOODS; Competition in the tag team division has been heating up as of late, so both of these teams are looking to shake up the ranks. Xavier Woods starts for his team, but doesn’t stay in long. He uses his quickness to overwhelm Ryback before tagging in R-Truth. Truth hits a spinning forearm and does his signature stuff but is stopped in his tracks by a massive clothesline from “The Big Guy.” Ryback tags Curtis Axel, who uses his dad’s trademark neck snap for two. Axel controls things for a few until Truth goes for the “What’s Up”, but Axel holds onto the ropes to block it. He tags Ryback, who enters and hits the Shell Shock. Axel knocks Woods off the apron as the official counts the 1-2-3 on Truth. Rybaxel defeats R-Truth and Xavier Woods!
Ryback smacks his head as Curtis Axel poses next to him. “Rybaxel joins the list of tag teams picking up wins recently as they look to earn a shot at the winners of the Ladder match this Sunday” says John “Bradshaw” Layfield.
The Make-A-Wish video from Raw and Main Event airs, highlighting John Cena granting his 400th wish. We are now joined by the “Ravishing Russian” Lana as she struts out to the stage. “Vnimaniye! Vnimaniye!” is heard as Lana introduces the “Super Athlete” himself, Alexander Rusev. They make their way down to the ring as footage is shown of the feud between Rusev and Big Show is shown. From Rusev attacking him three weeks ago, to the announcement of their match at Extreme Rules, to both men demolishing 3MB on Raw. When they get in the ring, Lana continues to do the talking for Rusev. She claims that Alexander Rusev is the most dominant force in the history of the WWE. “Big Show may be the World’s Largest Athlete, but he is nothing compared to the Bulgarian Brute. Rusev will crush him at Extreme Rules. Not only that but Rusev will then go on to become the greatest WWE Superstar in history. She hands the microphone over to Rusev, who so far, has been a man of few words. “Big Show, you are just the beginning. You will fall and be humbled by the Accolade.” He is cut off by the music of the Big Show, who comes out looking like he means business. He talks as he walks down the ramp, saying that Rusev needs to understand that people have tried to make him a stepping stone numerous times throughout his career. “I’ve seen plenty of guys come through that curtain and try to pick a fight with the biggest dog, only for me to knock them cold out.” Show gets right in Rusev’s face and tells him that he’s going to get knocked out on Sunday. “Hell, maybe I’ll just knock you out right now.” The crowd comes to their feet as Show balls his giant hand into a fist, but Lana steps in between the behemoths. She shouts at Big Show to “SHUT UP!” This slight distraction allows Alexander Rusev to step to the side and unleash a vicious superkick to Show. Show bounces off the ropes, coming back with a big clothesline that takes Rusev over and out. Lana panics as she goes outside and stops Rusev from getting back in the ring. Show demands he re-enter, but Lana whispers something into Rusev’s ear and he begins to retreat.
A video package is shown of the feud between Bray Wyatt and John Cena. We see the events of this past Monday, where Cena refused to let go of the STF even after Erick Rowan had submitted. LUKE HARPER AND ERICK ROWAN VS. REY MYSTERIO AND SIN CARA; After beating Luke Harper and Erick Rowan on Raw with John Cena as his partner, Rey Mysterio looked to do the same with his regular tag team partner, Sin Cara. Right off the bat, this match has a different feel than the one witnessed on Raw. With no Cena, there is no powerhouse to match Harper and Rowan, as they dominate out of the gate. Both Harper and Rowan seem to relish in the ability to toss both Mysterio and Cara around the ring. As one would expect, the masked Superstars are able to rally, using their speed and diving out onto their larger opponents. However, a vicious discus clothesline from Harper onto Cara is enough for the win. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan defeat Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara!
Boos rain down from the crowd in Kansas City as Erick Rowan and Luke Harper are announced as the winners. The patriarch of the Wyatt Family isn’t around, as Harper and Rowan exit. Rey Mysterio enters the ring to check on his fallen partner.
Catch an all-new episode of Legends House, airing Thursday nights on the WWE Network at 8E/7C! KOFI KINGSTON VS. TITUS O’NEIL; Our United States Champion Christian was on commentary for this match. When asked why he was there, he simply said that he was scouting his opponent for Extreme Rules. Kofi Kingston, along with the WWE Universe, surely didn’t believe his honest intentions. This caused Kingston to be distracted at times during the match. Titus O’Neil sees this as an opportunity and starts to work the back of the number one contender for the US Title. Christian spends the majority of the match just running down Kofi Kingston, even calling Kofi’s win over him a fluke. Kingston begins to make the babyface comeback and starts to clap for Trouble in Paradise. Christian throws down his headset, runs into the ring and strikes Kofi with his Championship belt. Kofi Kingston defeats Titus O’Neil via disqualification!
Christian continues the assault on Kofi Kingston until Titus O’Neil gets to his feet. He seems pissed that Christian got him disqualified, but Christian uses his smarts to convince Titus to join in on the beating. Titus thinks it over and does so, planting Kofi with the Clash of the Titus before exiting. Christian gets on the mat, putting the belt in Kofi’s face and shouting “YOU WILL NEVER TAKE THIS FROM ME!”
A promo airs showing highlights of previous War Games matches and the history between The Shield, Daniel Bryan and the Authority. Don’t forget that you can watch the history of War Games on the WWE Network!
We are shown a video package, chronicling Sheamus’ recent change of heart. He no longer plays to the fans and does things the right way. We are shown how he manipulated his way to his Intercontinental Title shot by Brogue Kicking Big E’s head into the ring post. DEAN AMBROSE VS. SHEAMUS; As the Shield begin to make their way through the crowd, their music is cut off by the theme of Kane. The Director of Operations comes to the stage and bans Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, not just from ringside, but from the arena. Dean Ambrose, being the lunatic that he is, still goes right after Sheamus. However, Sheamus and his overpowering offense causes some serious problems for him. Sheamus is in control and after a commercial break, we see a split screen of Seth and Roman being escorted out of the building. Sheamus goes for White Noise, but Ambrose counters into a rollup for two. As they get up, Sheamus attempts the Brogue Kick only to have Dean dodge it. Sheamus still waffles him, but Dean rebounds off the middle rope with a huge clothesline for two. Ambrose nails Dirty Deeds, but Kane is back out and pulls out the official. Dean responds by taking him out with a suicide dive! The crowd goes nuts as he re-enters, only to step right into the Brogue Kick, which seals the deal. Sheamus defeats Dean Ambrose!
“The number one contender for the Intercontinental Title has just picked up a massive win heading into Extreme Rules” says Michael Cole. Kane rolls into the ring and signals to the top of the stage. Everyone is wondering what he’s calling for, when “Line in the Sand” hits. Randy Orton and Batista strut down to the ring as Ambrose is completely helpless. “This does not look good. Daniel Bryan isn’t here tonight and the rest of the Shield has been ejected” says JBL. Ambrose is slow to his feet as Kane, Batista and Orton circle him like the Shield. Ambrose doesn’t care as he does his best leap onto Orton and reel off rights and lefts. The numbers game takes its toll though as Kane ends up chokeslamming him before Orton hits an RKO. They finish off this destruction by delivering a Triple Powerbomb ala the Shield. Ambrose’s fallen body is the last image we see before Extreme Rules.

The final show before Extreme Rules, awww here we go shuckeh duckeh. Rob Van Dam and The Usos defeat Bad News Barrett and The Real Americans to start things off. Glad that Jack Swagger took the pin with BNB and Cesaro being much more valuable. BOLIEVE, MAGGLE! HERE COMES BO DALLAS! HE IS COMIN' SOON! A solid promo from the divas to follow things up to sign their contract and Paige taps out thanks to Tamina. I could see her winning the belt at Extreme Rules, for sure. Meh match here with Dolph Ziggler getting the win over Fandango as it could be expected, giving him momentum in to a match with Del Rio this Sunday. Rybaxel beats R-Truth and Xavier Woods next. Meh. Not much to care about there. Next comes a good promo with Rusev and Lana backing down from Big Show. I fully expect Rusev to get the win at Extreme Rules and keep winning on and on. Next, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan get the rightful win over Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara. Following up, Kofi Kingston gets the obvious win over Titus O'Neil and Christian pulls his heelness and shoves the United States Championship in his face. Hopefully Christian goes over on Sunday. Finally, a good main event with Dean Ambrose losing to Sheamus thanks to Kane. Ambrose gets surrounded like The Shield has been many of times and gets laid out by Kane, Batista and Orton. A nice touch to end things, but I still see no way Bryan and The Shield don't win WarGames on Sunday. A solid edition of Smackdown, nothing too special but we got most of the build for the pay-per-view on Raw, so it's understandable. Looking forward to what you bring at Extreme Rules, Kev. #BreakYoshisNeckAndPissEveryoneOff

Extreme Rules: May 4th, 2014 – Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey
The Pre-Show Panel at Extreme Rules consists of Josh Matthews, Booker T, Alex Riley and special guest, Damien Sandow. They go over the card and discuss the perils of competing at Extreme Rules. “I’ve done it before and you can barely stand after an Extreme Rules match. I don’t know how these guys are going to survive a War Games match” says Mark Henry. They go over the Last Man Standing match as well as War Games and a few others before sending it to our commentary team for the special Kickoff match.
KICKOFF MATCH – WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP – CHRISTIAN (C) VS. KOFI KINGSTON; Ever since Christian was able to weasel his way into the United States Title, Kofi Kingston has had an issue with him. Kofi interrupted Christian’s celebration on the Peep Show and even pinned him in a match on Raw. The bell sounds, giving these guys time to lock up. Instead of straight up wrestling, Kofi Kingston shows how serious he is by shoving Christian hard to the mat. They lock up again, Christian sliding behind Kofi and slapping him in the back of the head. This pisses off Kofi, who goes after Christian, only for the Champion to go to the ropes and have the referee keep them apart. They now trade some moves in the ring until Kingston dropkicks Christian to the outside. He goes to follow with a dive but when Christian moves, Kofi just bounces off the top rope to a hand from the crowd. Christian gets frustrated at Kofi outsmarting him, so he throws a bit of tantrum outside. While he’s doing so, Kingston completes the dive to the outside and the crowd is fired up. As things go back inside, Kofi is in control until missing a cross body. Christian sees the opening and hits a reverse DDT for a near fall. He begins to clap for the Killswitch but Kofi counters it into the SOS, earning an extremely close two count. “I thought for sure Kofi had the belt won there” says Michael Cole. Kofi now does his own clapping for Trouble in Paradise and nails it! However, using his veteran savvy, Christian rolls out of the ring before Kofi can cover. “Look at the brilliance of our champion! He knows the belt cannot change hands via countout” explains JBL. Kofi goes outside and rolls Christian in. He goes to lift him, but is pulled into a small package that ends the match. Christian defeats Kofi Kingston to retain the WWE United States Championship!
“Captain Charisma” hastily rolls out of the ring, snatching his United States Title and backing up the ramp to a chorus of boos. Kofi Kingston sits in the middle of the ring, looking incredibly frustrated with himself. He simply cannot believe that he let a chance to become a four time US Champion slip through his fingers.
Our actual Pay-Per-View broadcast begins with a video package that focuses on War Games. “A barbaric warzone from a forgotten time returns tonight” proclaims the voiceover. We see some clips of past War Games matches before going to various scenes of the feud between the Authority and their opponents tonight, Daniel Bryan and the Shield. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcome us to the sold out Izod Center for the most extreme night of the year! An ominous shot of the Hell in a Cell that will be used for War Games is shown before heading to our opening contest.
LADDER MATCH: WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP – THE USOS (C) VS. THE REAL AMERICANS; The WWE Universe was clearly buzzing about this match as it has been a bit since we’ve had a ladder match for the Tag Team Titles. As the Champions make their way to the ring, we are shown some clips of some of the legendary moments in Tag Team Title ladder match history. The Usos start with a bang as they meet the Real Americans during their entrance with dives to the outside! “Look at that, we got us some FLYING USOS” happily exclaims JBL. The Usos and Real Americans trade barbs outside, with Cesaro sending Jey into the steel steps hard, while Jimmy whips Jack Swagger to the post. Cesaro is the first man to go for the ladder, sliding it into the ring. Jimmy goes to springboard in, but Cesaro catches him with a vicious uppercut. He begins his climb, but Jey is up and pulls him down. Swagger enters with a ladder and wallops Jey with it. He lays it on Jey before squashing him with a Swagger bomb. Despite that, the spots begin to come fast and furious. The Usos nearly kill Cesaro on their Alley-Us Samoan Drop double team right onto a ladder. They also double superkick a ladder into Swagger before Jey signals for Jimmy to ascend while he played defense. His defense fails when Cesaro takes him out using a Michinoku driver. He then pulls Jimmy down by the leg right into a massive uppercut. The crowd roars for him as he notices Jey has crawled onto a fallen ladder. They come to their feet as Cesaro grabs Jey and the ladder. “There is no way he can do this” says Lawler. Cesaro swings Jey and the ladder at the same time as the New Jersey fans lose their minds! He can’t go for his usual double digit swings, but the feat is still impressive. Swagger shouts for him to not waste time and go for the belts but Cesaro is a bit dizzy. Swagger starts to climb himself, bringing back memories of his Money in the Bank win a few years ago. Jimmy springboards right onto the ladder and they trade shots at the top. Cesaro intervenes, grabbing Jimmy’s leg. Swagger shoves Jimmy off, taking out Cesaro, and Jimmy quickly bounces off the ropes, hitting the ladder and knocking Swagger to the mat. Jimmy looks around, as he’s the only man standing and the crowd comes alive again. He sets the ladder up and begins to go for the gold. Cesaro however is able to climb the other side. They trade shots until Cesaro knocks Jimmy out with a big uppercut. Cheers can be heard as Cesaro looks around, enjoying the reaction. Zeb Colter shouts for him to focus, but the brief few seconds cost him as Jey is up and pulls him down into a Samoan drop! Jey goes up and is able to retrieve the belts! The Usos defeat the Real Americans to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships!
Not only does the Izod Center give the Usos a positive reaction for retaining their belts, but they seem to applaud the efforts of both teams. The Usos head up the ramp, clutching their titles and hugging. Meanwhile, Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter seem to be upset with Cesaro. Swagger begins to shout at Cesaro. You can hear him say things like “you’ve gone soft” and “you let these morons get to you.” Zeb tries to play peacemaker despite being unhappy, but Swagger shoves Cesaro. Cesaro doesn’t take kindly to that and shoves back. Swagger piefaces him, so Cesaro trips him up and begins to swing him! The crowd goes nuts as Cesaro swings Swagger over ten times before tossing him aside. Cesaro relishes in the pop and raises his fist in the air. “I think the Real Americans may be no more!” says Lawler.
Renee Young is standing by with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan. She asks him about the condition of Dean Ambrose following the attack put on him this past Friday by the Authority. Bryan says that Ambrose is clearly far from 100%. “But, if you think that’s going to keep a guy like Dean Ambrose out of War Games tonight, then you don’t know him at all.” The crowd roars as Bryan confirms that Dean will be competing tonight because something like War Games is right up his alley.
ALBERTO DEL RIO VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER; Dolph Ziggler makes his entrance, stopping at ringside to stand next to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy that was brought out beforehand. It’s clear by the look on his face, that it does the job of irking and pissing off Alberto Del Rio. These two open with a feeling out process, where both guys trade holds and exchanges. However, there is an added level of intensity with everything they do because of how heated this rivalry has become. Their battle of exchanges ends when Alberto just straight up slaps Dolph. Dolph retaliates with one of his own and shouts “THAT’S FOR ZACK!” “For those who forget, Dolph is referring to Alberto’s match with his friend Zack Ryder this past Monday on Raw” explains Cole. Del Ro takes offense and lights up Dolph’s arm with some swift kicks. This starts a sequence of Alberto dong serious damage to the arm of Dolph, obviously setting up for the Cross Armbreaker. Dolph attempts to comeback a few times, including blocking a superplex. He goes to capitalize only to have Del Rio leap up and kick him in the arm again. He then applies the Cross Armbreaker, but over the ropes. The referee makes sure he breaks the hold before the count of five, but Del Rio clearly wants to do it legally now. However, Dolph is able to bust out a Fameasser from out of nowhere! He’s still feeling the effects of the arm work and takes too long to cover, so he only gets two. As they get up, Del Rio sends Dolph off the ropes, but his back body drop is countered into Dolph’s signature jumping DDT for a near fall. Dolph seems to be rallying to victory, only for Del Rio to slap on the Cross Armbreaker from out of nowhere! In a callback to Dolph cashing in Money in the Bank on Alberto last year, he goes to the leg to break the hold. Dolph, still in rough shape, gets to his knees as Del Rio gets to his feet. Del Rio goes for the killer kick to the skull, but Ziggler ducks and nails the Zig Zag to pick up the victory! Dolph Ziggler defeats Alberto Del Rio!
Dolph Ziggler falls back onto the ropes during his celebration because of the sheer amount that the match took out of him. He stands on the second turnbuckle and points to his Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy. This win, along with that one at WrestleMania shows that 2014 could be the Year of Dolph Ziggler.
A vignette airs, promoting the upcoming debut of Bo Dallas. “You can’t spell challenge without change. It’s hard for an egg to become a bird, but an egg can never learn to fly. If you’re going to rise up to the challenge, you have to be prepared to change. You just have to BO-lieve.”
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – BIG E (C) VS. SHEAMUS; It was clear that this was going to be one of the most intense and hard hitting matches in a night sure to be full of them. There is no collar and elbow tie up here as these two just hammer way on each other. Right from the get, there are power moves exchanged as Big E snaps off a crisp belly-to-belly suplex and Sheamus responds with a fallaway slam. The ring can’t hold these two as they fall to the outside. Big E rams Sheamus into the guardrail and charges at him, only for Sheamus to greet him with a big Polish hammer. As things move back to the squared circle, Sheamus gets in the driver’s seat. He works over Big E with a rolling fireman’s carry slam and some other back targeted offense. Sheamus gets some near falls, including one on the Irish Curse backbreaker. He gets Big E with the Beats of Bodhran, but Big E actually grabs his arm in the middle of a swing to stop it. “Look at the power from our Intercontinental Champion” states Michael Cole. Big E turns around and levels Sheamus before pulling him onto the apron with him. Big E enters the ring before attempting to suplex Sheamus in with him. Sheamus blocks and shoves him away. He goes for the slingshot shoulder block but Big E charges and catches him with a spear through the ropes and to the outside! “How are either of these men going to get up?” asks Jerry Lawler. The referee begins the count as both men slowly begin to stir. At the count of nine, they both manage to roll in to break the count. Big E runs, connecting with the E-Train before bouncing off the ropes and hitting the running splash. Sheamus is able to kick out however, so Big E takes down the straps. He tries the Big Ending, but Sheamus elbows out. As he goes for the Brogue Kick, Big E has it scouted and ducks, running off the opposite rope. However, he just runs directly into a Brogue Kick anyway, which earns the three! Sheamus defeats Big E to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship!
The referee hands the Intercontinental Title to the “Celtic Warrior”, who once again showed off his hard hitting style tonight. JBL mentions that we just witnessed a war and Big E has nothing to be ashamed of. Sheamus raises the Intercontinental Title high in the air, adding to his long list of career accomplishments.
A video package airs that focuses on the rivalry between Bray Wyatt and John Cena. Bray has targeted Cena because he is a “false prophet.” Bray defeated Cena at WrestleMania in a relatively big upset, and has continued to try and get the “monster” to come out. Even in recent victories, Cena has shown what seems to be a darker side of himself. Tonight, we find out if Cena can beat Bray Wyatt while keeping to his true self.
LAST MAN STANDING MATCH – BRAY WYATT VS. JOHN CENA; As John Cena watched Bray Wyatt make his eerie entrance, he has a look in his eye that we’ve never really seen before. Cena pounces quickly, overwhelming Bray with rights and lefts in the corner before clotheslining him. Wyatt is ready for the next one though, ducking it and rebounding off the ropes with a huge body attack. He nails an avalanche in the corner, then pulls Cena’s lifeless body out and begins to dance with it. “Just when I thought Bray Wyatt couldn’t get any creepier, he goes and does that” says Lawler. Cena comes back with the Five Knuckle Shuffle combination, though it only keeps Bray down for four. Cena goes right to the STF but Bray however, surprises everyone by laughing while in the hold. Cena hears this and is so shocked that he breaks the hold. Bray is holding his neck as he gets to his feet, so the move did do damage. Cena charges but is met with a uranage, staying down for five. Bray goes to the corner, doing his signature “exorcist walk” before trying Sister Abigail. Cena uses his power to block it and counter with the Attitude Adjustment. That though, is still only enough to keep Bray down for seven. Cena doesn't know what will keep Bray down, so he decides to go for a steel chair. Bray greets him outside though and wails on him. He connects with Sister Abigail onto the outside and has a big smile on his face while the official counts. Cena, ever the resilient Superstar, just barely breaks the count. The big spots continue as Bray runs into a second AA, this one through the Spanish announce table! Bray once again somehow is up by the count of nine. “What is it going to take to keep Bray Wyatt down?” questions JBL. Cena puts the steel steps in the ring and rolls Bray inside. Cena has that look in his eyes again as he seems to be attempting a piledriver on them! Bray fights out with a backdrop onto them, following with a senton that keeps Cena down until eight. Once he gets to his feet, Bray quickly tries Sister Abigail, but Cena counters with yet another AA, but onto the steps! He is in utter disbelief as Bray uses the ropes to get to his feet before the count of ten. Cena stares across the ring at Bray, who stares right back and shouts “DO IT JOHN! BRNG OUT THAT MONSTER! IT’S THE ONLY WAY!” Cena charges and clotheslines Bray over and outside before looking at the steel steps. He lifts them as Bray gets to his feet outside and launches them right at Bray, wiping out the patriarch of the Wyatt Family! “King, oh my god! What has John Cena just done?” asks Cole. The referee counts to ten, ending this. John Cena defeats Bray Wyatt!
Some of the crowd cheers at the result, but most are actually in shock. John Cena himself doesn’t even celebrate as he just looks at his hands. “King, John Cena had to go somewhere dark that we’ve never seen him go to before. That was one of the most vicious things I’ve ever witnessed. Was Bray Wyatt right all along?” asks Michael Cole. John Cena looks at the crowd, as the camera catches shots of two children in Cena shirts who aren’t cheering, but seem to be scared of their hero. The Wyatt signature appears and when the lights come back on, Bray Wyatt is missing from ringside, only leaving a seemingly frozen John Cena alone.
In the back, Evolution is shown preparing for the big War Games match in Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s office. In steps Kane, dressed in slacks, leading Triple H to get in his face. “Look Kane, Stephanie and I appreciate your efforts as the Director of Operations. We really do, but that’s not the guy we need going to war with us tonight.” Kane looks on confused, so Triple H continues, “Over the past few weeks you’ve lost to Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. The three of you decimated Dean Ambrose on Smackdown, but you’ve been a weak link lately. I don’t want the Director of Operations out there tonight. You need to fix this if you expect to join us.” Kane doesn’t looks pleased and says that he was promised by Stephanie that he would never have to go back to that. Stephanie interjects, telling him that the Authority needs him now, more than ever. Kane exits, still unsure of himself.
ALEXANDER RUSEV VS. BIG SHOW; Tonight, we’ve seen brutality, pure wrestling and athleticism but this was going to be something entirely different. Both guys get in the ring and have an intense face to face stare down. Alexander Rusev fires off a few chops, but Big Show comes back with a headbutt that staggers the “Bulgarian Brute” back. Show throws in some more body shots and a second headbutt knocks Rusev through the second rope and outside. The crowd cheers as Rusev is in the most trouble we’ve seen him in so far. Lana goes to him outside, giving him some sound advice. Rusev enters, changing his strategy as he rounds off some kicks to Show’s leg. “That’s a great idea on the part of Rusev. Cut the giant down to size. He’s vicious, and with Lana around, he’s also brilliant” says JBL. He backs Show into the corner, but it’s turned around on him and Show delivers some hip checks. Show goes for an avalanche but Rusev moves out of the way and, in an impressive show of strength, suplexes Show for two. He continues to target the leg with some stomps and offense inflicting damage on it. Show starts his rally, hitting some strong clotheslines and strikes. He hits the Chokeslam but Rusev is able to kick out to the surprise of many, including commentary. Big Show can’t believe it either but he balls up his first for the Weapon of Mass Destruction. As he swings, Rusev catches him with a superkick. Show stumbles to the ropes and bounces off into two more superkicks that finally knock him down. At ringside, the camera sees Lana shout “CRUSH” as Rusev applies the Accolade. Show fight valiantly but is forced to tap out. Alexander Rusev defeats Big Show via submission!
Boos rain down over the Izod Center as Alexander Rusev refuses to break the hold until Lana enters the ring and gives him the signal. She raises his hand as Michael Cole wonders if anyone will be able to beat Rusev if the Big Show is unable to. Big Show lay unconscious on the mat as the Accolade being on so long has knocked him out.
We move to a video package showing Paige’s debut on the main roster the night after WrestleMania. Paige is shown beating Tamina, Natalya, Alicia Fox and Aksana before finally being granted her title shot tonight. Their contract signing from Friday Night Smackdown is also shown, where AJ Lee, with an assist from Tamina, put Paige in the Black Widow and made her tap out.
SUBMISSIONS MATCH: WWE DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP – AJ LEE (C) VS. PAIGE; A buzz could be felt around the arena for this first time ever match. Some fans would even consider it a dream match. Both AJ Lee and Paige spend the early portions trying to figure the other one out. AJ nearly gets in the Black Widow but Paige blocks and tries the PTO, only for AJ to kick her away. She gets to her feet and they look at each other from across the rings. “So far, both of these women are very evenly matched” says Michael Cole. Our first big move comes when Paige drapes AJ across the second rope and spouts off multiple knee strikes in rapid fashion. As AJ falls to the mat, Tamina grabs Paige’s leg but she kicks her off and leaps from the apron with a hurricanrana! Paige gets back into the ring only to be met with a tornado DDT. AJ manages to correctly apply the Black Widow this time. “Every single Diva that has been put in this hold has gone down to it” says JBL. Paige struggles to find a way out, before managing to slip her arm out and counters into the Paige Turner! Paige slowly gets to her knees and lets out a loud scream. The crowd pops for that as she crawls over AJ and delivers some ferocious headbutts. Paige goes to the legs and locks in the PTO. AJ is in obvious pain, but Tamina jumps in the ring and levels Paige. “This match can only end via submission, so that’s unfortunately, perfectly legal” explains Cole. Tamina goes to pick Paige up, but the “Anti-Diva” is able to grab her and connect with the Paige Turner! Paige yells again as the crowd can sense the title change. However, AJ leaps onto her with a guillotine choke, wrapping her legs around Paige. Paige does her best to break the hold and manages to shove AJ’s grip away. The Divas Champion is able to bounce off the ropes and go back into the Black Widow. This time, Paige is unable to find a way out but she refuses to submit. She continues to struggle, but slowly seems to fade away, until the referee is forced to signal for the bell. AJ Lee defeats Paige via submission to retain the WWE Divas Championship!
Tamina hands AJ Lee the Divas Title as she stares at Paige’s fallen body. ”AJ Lee seems to be stunned at the resolve shown by Paige tonight. She refused to tap out and ended up losing consciousness” says Michael Cole. AJ backs out of the ring with the belt but keeps her eyes on Paige while backing up. Paige slowly begins to stir, earning a nice hand from the fans out of respect but she is clearly disappointed in herself.
A promo airs for Payback! It will air live on Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network on June 1st, 2014 from Chicago, Illinois!
BAD NEWS BARRETT VS. ROB VAN DAM; “I know you all are excited to see RVD back on an extreme Pay-Per-View. BUT I’M AFRAID I’VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS! RVD’s return will be short lived after I obliterate him tonight because I’m BNB” says Barrett while doing the RVD hand taunt. In the early stages, both men trade right hands, with Barrett getting the advantage due to his bare knuckle boxing background. RVD resorts to kicks instead, nailing a springboard one that sends Barrett to the ropes. He bounces off right into a jawbreaker for two. Barrett rolls outside for a breather but is met with a baseball slide that RVD follows with his spinning guardrail leg drop. The crowd is totally behind RVD as he taunts while the official counts out Barrett. He rolls into the ring around the count of seven and RVD goes for Rolling Thunder, but Barrett gets his knees up. Barrett now goes to work, nailing a big boot that sends RVD to the floor. He pulls a Cactus Jack with an elbow off the apron, complete with a hearty “Bang Bang”. Back inside, he scores a near fall and moves to a chinlock. RVD rallies behind the fans and nails a spinning heel kick. He hits a big kick from the top rope for two but his next move is reversed as he runs into the Winds of Change. That is only able to get two though, so Barrett turns the elbow pad inside out in preparation for the Bull Hammer. RVD ducks it though and rolls BNB up for a near fall. They get up at the same time, with RVD connecting on an enziguri. He attempts the split legged moonsault, but Barrett dodges and RVD crashes to the mat. Barrett winds up and lays him out with the Bull Hammer, hooking the leg and taking the victory. Bad News Barrett defeats Rob Van Dam!
Bad News Barrett gets to his feet, receiving a bit of a mixed reaction from the fans in New Jersey. He steals Rob Van Dam’s signature taunt, shouting “B-N-B” along with it as Barrett has avenged the loss from his return the night after WrestleMania.
A lengthy video package airs, recapping the feud leading to War Games tonight. We see the Shield slowly turning on the Authority, leading to the six man tag at WrestleMania. On that night, Daniel Bryan defeated Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Since then, these eight men have been at war week in and week out. It all comes to a head inside of WWE’s first ever War Games match.
WARGAMES MATCH – DANIEL BRYAN AND THE SHIELD VS. THE AUTHORITY; This past Monday on Raw, Randy Orton defeated Dean Ambrose to earn the man advantage tonight. Orton starts for his team against Seth Rollins. The tension in the air is palpable as Seth and Randy come face to face. When the bell sounds, Orton shoves Seth, who returns the favor, knocking Orton on his ass. Their interaction is fast paced, with Rollins hitting some tough kicks but Orton coming back with his gorgeous snap powerslam. Orton stomps on Rollins, but his signature rope hung DDT is blocked. Seth gets his legs free and back body drops Orton from in the ring to the outside! Orton manages to get to his feet, only for Rollins to nail a suicide dive! The counter goes off bringing in Batista. With Orton disposed of, the Authority don’t get to enjoy their man advantage much. Rollins charges at Batista, but is met with a big clothesline. He sends Seth off the ropes and sets, so Rollins stops and hits a suplex. He holds on for another, but is struck from behind by a recovered Orton before completing the trifecta. For the next few minutes, Orton and Batista simply take turns wearing down Seth until Daniel Bryan joins the fray. The Izod Center crowd becomes unglued as he enters, ducks a clothesline, comes off the ropes and takes out Orton with a big elbow. He strikes both Orton and Batista with a fierce series of kicks, the crowd chanting “YES!” with each one. He hits the final roundhouse on Orton, but Batista ducks his and hits a big spinebuster. He doesn’t get time to celebrate though as Seth pounces and tackles him to the outside. This breaks down into two singles matches basically as Orton stomps away on Bryan inside, while Batista begins throwing Seth all over the steel. Triple H is out next with a huge smile as the Authority is in control. He high fives his fellow Evolution members as they just pick apart both Bryan and Rollins. Bryan gets a few hope spots including a nice suplex on Orton, but the other members would just stop him in his tracks. The building again erupts at the sight of Dean Ambrose who runs to the ring with his ribs taped up. He fires on all cylinders, ducking and dodging offense while getting in some of his own. “The former United States Champion is on fire even with the injuries!” says Michael Cole excitedly. Triple H eats a snap DDT and Orton is struck with a knee trembler. Batista is able to hit him, but he just rebounds off the middle rope with a big lariat. Things are much more even now after Rollins and Bryan get back to their feet. Evolution escapes outside to rethink strategy, but Rollins, Ambrose and Bryan all hit suicide dives at the same time, sending Evolution into the steel. Fire explodes from the entrance as Kane is the final member of the Authority out. It’s not the Kane we’ve grown accustomed to though as he’s sporting his mask. “It looks like the Demon is back” states JBL. Kane tees off on all three of his opponents with throat thrusts, side slams and even a Chokeslam for Ambrose. Triple H goes under the ring and pulls out a pair of handcuffs! He proceeds to cuff Ambrose and Rollins to the cage, pounding away on them while doing so. This leaves Bryan all alone against his four opponents. They surround him as he gets to his feet. He fights valiantly but the numbers game overcomes him. After they beat him down, Triple H gives the signal for the Triple Powerbomb. However, our final participant arrives and it’s Roman Reigns! The powerhouse of the Shield immediately greets Kane with a spear. He dodges Batista, before taking him down with a Superman Punch and spearing both Triple H and Orton at the same time. The crowd is going wild for Reigns, who now looks to help his Shield brethren. He tries to pull the handcuffs apart but can’t do it. He begins to search under the ring, but it is Bryan who finds the keys after searching Triple H’s boots. The Shield get free and they, along with Bryan are now in control. Kane gets to his feet outside, but Roman runs and spears him through the Cell! While the crowd is stunned at that breathtaking moment, Ambrose leaps onto Triple H, taking him down and brawling with him. As Batista gets to his feet, Seth spikes him with the Curb Stomp. Bryan leads the crowd in a “Yes!” chant as Orton slowly stands. Bryan charges and completely wipes him out with the Busaiku Knee! The referee counts the three, ending this war. Daniel Bryan and the Shield defeat the Authority!
“The amount of carnage in the ring is remarkable, but all that matters is that the Shield and Daniel Bryan have overcome the Authority” says Michael Cole. Carnage is the right word for it as Kane is still laying on the broken part of the Cell. Bryan continues to lead the WWE Universe in a “YES” chant while the Shield do their signature pose, though with Ambrose still holding his ribs. Tonight, they went to war and won.

Time for Extreme Rules. The United States Championship is on the line in the Extreme Rules Kickoff match Christian defeating Kofi Kingston to retain, thankfully. I see you're adding in some Dan-esque commentary in to the matches and here we go with a hot start of the WWE Tag Team Championships on the line between The Usos and The Real Americans with, as expected, The Usos retaining. And it appears afterward that The Real Americans are going to split with the argument of Cesaro and Swagger. I don't know how much I like them splitting right here, right now. I think it could've been saved for tomorrow. It's fine, nonetheless. Next up, somewhat of a slow-down match between Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler with the latter getting the victory. YEAH HE IS HERE TO SHOW THE WORLD, EVEN MEXICO! We follow up with the Intercontinental Championship on the line, a popular title to change hands at Extreme Rules and glad that heel Sheamus has some credibility with it now, fella! A Last Man Standing match between John Cena and Bray Wyatt takes place next and I understand the decision to have Cena get the win after you had Wyatt win at WrestleMania. I didn't care too much for the ending being just a toss of the steps at Wyatt, but it was better than what was done in reality. I assume we'll get one more match between the two at Payback? Maybe? Uh oh. Are we going to see masked Kane? It seems that we are leaning that way. I hate the unmask, remask stuff but I'm cool with it here going in to WarGames if you are going in that route. Next, Alexander Rusev gets the victory over Big Show as expected and Lana displays her fine ass in the process. I mean, lets talk about what matters with Rusev winning. #ShiftyEyes. What happened to him? I dunno. Submission match between the divas comes up and I'm actually surprised to see AJ Lee retain. I'm fine with it, but surprised. Although, now I fully expect Paige to capture the title in her next attempt. I assume she'll get another attempt for not actually tapping out, too. Weird to see back to back submission victories, though. Next up, Bad News Barrett gets a win over Rob Van Dam that he obviously needed to re-establish him. I'M AFRAID I'VE GOT SOME BAAAD NEWS! Main event time and although I wouldn't be too keen on Kane coming in last for The Authority, I understand with the mask. Same situation goes for him being eliminated last and I am glad to see Bryan get the pinfall on Kane to end it. Some nice features involved in the match as well, including the handcuffs part. Ultimately, the right team won and I'm intrigued by where you go with Daniel Bryan's reign since this is where it really came to an end in reality. Anyways, a good Extreme Rules event overall and I am looking forward to see what comes after this, especially if Bryan avoids injury - which I assume he does.

I'm half-aslep right now because I woke up to pee. If there's any errors or I miss something, not entirely my fault, alright? Alright.
Bruh, it's almost been a year since this diary began and the first PPV is just now being posted. Good on you for bringing it back on your own, though. Good match for the Kickoff Show with the expected result of Christian retaining the United States Championship that he just won. Short Kickoff Show write-up, but that's probably for the better. What I usually do is too damn long anyways. Onto the actual PPV event, a fantastic way to kick things off with the Ladder match. The Usos winning was fine. Even though I'm much more into The Real Americans, they're likely on the verge of splitting at this point. And just like that, there's the separation. Cesaro as a face is exactly what needed to happen in real life, so I'm interested in seeing what you do with that. Don't let Swagger fall into obscurity, though. Why does Renee Young have to ask about Dean Ambrose's condition? She should know. #Giggity. Loved whenever Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio got to work together. Ziggler going over was expected with him being the Andre Battle Royal winner and all. Ziggler's on the rise and rightfully so, but I'm hoping that Del Rio will still be utilized. You just have to Bo-lieve! Bo Rotundo Dallas is on his way! Heel Sheamus becoming the Intercontinental Champion is really the only thing that I can remember you, Elliot and myself having figured out for this show. Definitely needed to happen. Looking forward to seeing how his run with the title goes. Should be swell. Next, the Last Man Standing match between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. If Cena absolutely needed to get the win here, this was the perfect way to do it. Everything about the finish and aftermath was incredible. Cena being shocked with himself, the questionable commentary, the frightened children. It was all done so well. Makes me even more excited to see what's next for this storyline, assuming that it does continue. Predictable, but necessary win for Alexander Rusev. WWE's done a pretty damn good job of building him up over the past year, even though he's doomed come WrestleMania. I'm hoping that you can replicate that magic, or even top the WWE with Rusev. I definitely think you can. Submission match for the Divas Championship. No barbed wire bats. No thumbtacks. No main event spot. 0/10 would never read again. Get out of here, cuh. But seriously, a fine match up and a result that actually surprised me. I guess AJ Lee won't be taking some time off like she did in real life, or you're holding off Paige's title win until Payback. Either way, I'm intrigued with this. Bad News Barrett defeating Rob Van Dam was expected, but just like Rusev going over Show earlier, it was necessary. Barrett was on fire around this time. Makes me sad that he had to disappear due to an injury. Please keep his momentum up because I think that with the proper handling, 2014 can be his year to finally become a main event mainstay. Finally the WarGames match. This is what I remember being most excited for on this show. A lot of sh*t going down in this one, but anything less would have been disappointing. Very glad that Daniel Bryan and The Shield came out victorious. I don't believe that we've seen the end of the Shield/Authority program, but part of me believes that this was Bryan's exit from the story. What's next for him? A great Extreme Rules event overall. I'm looking forward to seeing you carry out the diary on your own.

- With Daniel Bryan the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and The Shield going over Triple H, Batista, Randy Orton and Kane in War Games I wonder what this means now as far as Daniel Bryan's WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign considering not only did Daniel Bryan beat Triple H, Batista and Orton all in the same night to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 30 but now Extreme Rules comes along and Bryan & his team win War Games I mean I have to wonder what is next for Bryan? Or what is next for The Shield? Or what is next for Triple H & company now? - Bad News Barrett beating RVD, I mean we only knew that it would be a matter of time and let's face it Barrett he has more going for him at the moment than RVD does and at this point RVD he is basically enhancement talent when you think about it that he is basically putting younger guys over so it only makes sense even though I would have been all right with an RVD win again over Barrett but seeing Barrett go over RVD I have to wonder what is next for Barrett? Or what is next for RVD? - Paige earned my respect in this Submission Match most definitely even though she did lose to AJ in this match with the WWE Divas Championship Paige didn't tap out to the Black Widow she didn't tap she passed out in the hold but passing out does equal a submission victory even though Paige didn't tap out this just goes to show us the kind of resolve Paige has but even more so AJ I think she might end up respecting Paige especially after this match but at the same time I wonder where all of this leaves Tamina Snuka especially now? - Rusev going over Big Show with Big Show tapping out to The Accolade, this puts over Rusev not only as a giant killer in a sense but this win only elevates Rusev's credibility as a monster heel by beating WWE's resident giant a battle between two behemoths, King Kong going up against Godzilla here literally and Rusev the upstart beating Big Show the veteran I wonder what is next for Rusev especially now? Or what is next for Big Show? - It seems Cena went to the dark side Cena has finally embraced the hate or so it seems by beating Bray Wyatt, Bray Wyatt said he was going to show the world what kind of a monster Cena really is and Cena more or less proved Wyatt's point here in Last Man Standing, this match was a great match not only was it a great match this was a war a god damn war and these 2 put it all out there putting everything on the line and considering Bray Wyatt he beat John Cena at WrestleMania 30 in your diary for Cena to get his win back here at Extreme Rules makes sense but at what cost? I mean is this the start of Cena's fans the little kids and women in the audience starting to turn on Cena now? - Sheamus adding another accolade to his WWE career by becoming the new WWE Intercontinental Champion by beating Big E., Sheamus in your diary he has done it all literally winning the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, King of the Ring (2010), the WWE United States Championship, Royal Rumble Match winner (2012), I mean Sheamus has done it all and especially now winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship the only things that Sheamus has left to win in WWE are the Money in the Bank briefcase and the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal but by beating Big E. this gives Sheamus some serious steam as far as his heel turn goes - Ziggler beating Del Rio, yes Ziggler is perhaps on the roll of his career not only winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30 in your diary but now beating Del Rio here at WWE Extreme Rules I mean could 2014 be Ziggler's year? I guess we will find out considering Ziggler he is off to a good start I would say especially ever since WrestleMania - The Usos beating the Real Americans to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships in a Ladder Match, I mean this is the start of Cesaro's apparent face turn and I think we may finally see it especially after the Real Americans have not only come up short again but everyone is seemingly behind Cesaro anyways more than they are Swagger and Colter so to see Cesaro's babyface turn after the match turning on Swagger and Colter, I can see you capitalizing off of Cesaro's popularity in the sense that at this time in WWE he was perhaps the most over superstar in terms of his popularity but WWE obviously ed that up royally but I digress - And seeing Christian, Captain Charisma retaining his WWE United States Championship beating Kofi Kingston to retain I mean it was obvious Christian was going to retain and honestly Kofi even though he did have this match won Christian just managed to outsmart Kofi in this match more and it paid off obviously - So I do have to wonder about your road to WWE Payback and just what kind of matches we end up seeing at WWE Payback

Kev good to see you back
Haven't read to much of this if I'm being honest but skimmed over Extreme Rules.
I've never been a fan of Wargames but thought you did a good job with it and the right team won. Interesting to see where you go from here.
Sheamus as a heel still strikes me as premature but he will make a stronger IC champ than Big E.
Good wins for Ziggler and Rusev also, coming out of Extreme Rules I'm looking forward to see where you take this diary now it's fully in your hands.

I'm really enjoying the graphics for War Games. I will give you a longer reply for Raw but I've never watched the War Games but your writing was able to give me a good visualization of the show. I really enjoyed all your choices you made such as Ziggler and Rusev winning. I really enjoy a Heel Sheamus holding the Intercontinental Championship and wonder if you can give him a bigger picture from that. Overall, the show was very good and I'm looking forward to following this diary.

Monday Night Raw: May 5th, 2014 – Times Union Center in Albany, New York
“Whoa, come with me now” is heard as a video package, set to the Kongos is shown. We are just twenty-four hours removed from an incredible Extreme Rules that saw Daniel Bryan and the Shield defeat the Authority in WWE’s first ever War Games match. That match is the focal point of the video package. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcome us to the show after the weekly Raw intro plays. They remind us that we are opening straight with a match tonight; one that was announced on the Raw Pre-Show! It will be Champion vs. Champion as the new Intercontinental Champion Sheamus takes on WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan! NON-TITLE MATCH: DANIEL BRYAN VS. SHEAMUS; Talk about a massive way to start the show. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion taking on the brand new Intercontinental Champion. Both guys enter this match on red hot rolls lately. Daniel Bryan, knowing hos vicious Sheamus has been lately, plays things very cautiously. He kicks Sheamus in the legs and backs away, trying to avoid the grasp of the “Celtic Warrior”. That turns out to be a futile effort though as he is caught and manhandled by the Intercontinental Champion. Sheamus pounds away on the World Champion, working him over with the Beats of Bodhran. Sheamus’ dominance continues through a commercial break, as this is being given a lot of time. Bryan ducks a Polish hammer and nails a big time running elbow to begin his comeback. He lights up Sheamus’ chest with loud kicks as the fans chant “YES!” along with each one. Bryan goes to the top and nails a perfect missile dropkick, nips up and seems to be gearing up for the Busaiku Knee. Suddenly, fire explodes from the turnbuckles and entrance. Kane, still dressed as the Demon, comes down. He enters the ring and immediately attacks Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan defeats Sheamus via disqualification!
Daniel Bryan does his best to fight off Kane, but falls victim to a Chokeslam. Sheamus doesn’t seem too pleased with the outcome of the match and gets in Kane’s face. They look like they will come to blows until Bryan gets up. Sheamus turns and lays him out with a Brogue Kick, before exiting the ring. Kane picks up Bryan and hits a Tombstone. “Oh my god King, Kane has just left the WWE World Heavyweight Champion lying in the middle of the ring. The Demon is indeed back!” says Michael Cole.
Returning, a recap airs of Kane’s assault on Daniel Bryan. Commentary then informs us that we still have a ton more to come tonight, including the return of the “Beat the Clock” Challenge! “Tonight, six Superstars will compete in three singles matches. The man who wins in the fastest time will earn a WWE United States Championship match” explains Michael Cole.
To continue the theme of the fans booing, we are now joined by Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton. They do not look to be in a good mood as they enter the ring, completely dressed to the nines in suits. Triple gets a microphone and begins. “I be all of you are pretty happy. The Authority lost in War Games last night and you all got to once again see Daniel Bryan and the Shield stand tall. Let me make one thing perfectly clear. They got lucky. That’s the only possible explanation for what happened at Extreme Rules. In no way could a B+ player and the Shield beat the Demon and Evolution.” Triple H hands the microphone over to Batista. “I came back to the WWE this year to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. It’s been over three months and you know what I still don’t have? The WWE World Heavyweight Title. And you know who I blame for that? Daniel Bryan and the Shield.” The crowd boos as Batista claims that he doesn’t believe in the young punks that are the Shield saying there’s a reason why he won the Royal Rumble and Roman Reigns didn’t. Randy Orton goes to speak as well, but keeps it short. “I’m in no mood to talk. I’m tired of talking. As much as I want my WWE World Heavyweight Title back, I think we need to handle the Shield first.” Orton proceeds to call out the Shield, drawing a pop from the fans. “Sierra. Hotel. India. Echo. Lima. Delta. Shield.” Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose call come down through the crowd as the fans are itching for another war. However, Evolution calmly exits the ring and wait atop the ramp as the Shield get in the ring. Triple H continues, “Settle down boys. We didn’t call you out for a fight right now. We’re much smarter than that.” Dean Ambrose has a microphone and responds, “Smarter isn’t the word I was looking for Hunter. More like scared.” The crowd cheers at that, but Triple H only gives a small chuckle saying that if they were scared they wouldn’t have called the Shield out to challenge them to a match. The crowd cheers but they give a less favorable reaction when they find out the challenge isn’t being laid down for tonight but at Payback. Seth Rollins responds, “Oh we accept. You know damn well we accept.” Triple H decides that there should be a tune up tonight so he makes our main event a tag match, pitting Batista and Randy Orton against former WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns! The Shield have no problem with that as Roman Reigns says its fine with them. “We’re gonna kick your asses tonight and at Payback. Believe that.”
Renee Young is standing by backstage with the United States Champion Christian. She asks him about his thoughts on the Beat the Clock challenge tonight. “Listen Rachel, all I know is that the Beat the Clock challenge is ridiculously unfair. I beat Kofi Kingston last night fair and square, but instead of being able to sit back and relax, I have to focus on three separate matches. There are now six possible guys I have to prepare for. How fair is that? You know what though? No matter how unjust this is or who wins, this title isn’t going anywhere. Because that’s…how I roll.” BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE: ALBERTO DEL RIO VS. ROB VAN DAM; In the first match of the Beat the Clock Challenge, two guys looking to get back on track do battle. Last night Rob Van Dam suffered a loss to Bad News Barrett, while Alberto Del Rio lost to Dolph Ziggler. The factor of the clock comes in play right away as both guys get near falls on rollup attempts. They give each other a look of understanding before going back at it. Del Rio continues to go for victories, trying pins after pretty much every single move. Rob Van Dam hits a big diving kick from the top rope for the closest near fall of the match so far. He misses the split legged moonsault and gets to his knees. Del Rio, with the killer instinct in his eyes, tries for a kick to the head, but RVD dodges and school boys Del Rio to take the victory. Rob Van Dam defeats Alberto Del Rio in 10:43!
Rob Van Dam looks up at the titantron, sees his time and shrugs before slapping hands with the fans. Alberto Del Rio is extremely frustrated in the ring, pounding on the mat. RVD does his signature taunt along with the fans as he reaches the top of the ramp.
A promo airs to promote Legends House. A new episode airs this Thursday night at 8E/7C only on the WWE Network! John Cena’s music hits as the leader of the Cenation comes through the curtain. However, this is not the same John Cena that we’re used to. He doesn’t come out talking to the camera and doesn’t even do his salute. He just solemnly walks to the ring. As the fans give him his usual mixed reaction, he starts his promo. “Last night, I finally beat Bray Wyatt. After he threatened my legacy and defeated me at WrestleMania, I vowed to win last night. But in doing so, I feel like he got what he wanted. I went to a place I had never gone and even though I won, I feel like a loser. I saw the look on the faces of the children in the WWE Universe and, for the first time ever…they looked scared of me. That’s not who I am. The ‘hustle, loyalty and respect’ that I preach isn’t just a slogan, it’s how I live life and how I want my fans to see me. To each and every single person that I let down last night, I just want to apologize.” Before his apology can get any further, the Wyatt signature appears and Bray Wyatt is sitting in his rocking chair atop the stage. "Remind me of your agenda when standing across from me, John. You say that you were fighting for your legacy. You've been battling the ever-evil Bray Wyatt to keep the Cenation at bay from my voice. Surely by now, you've realized that this is a war you cannot win! Even in victory, do you really win, John? Or do I win? Because what I see is a man who has gone against every word he's spewed out, proving that he's a liar! A fallacy! You didn't vanquish the monster at Extreme Rules. Instead, you did exactly what I've known you were going to do! You became the monster! The darkness in your heart became your exterior being and you unleashed hell on me! Your legacy? What legacy?!? You're not the hero that you've been pretending for the last decade! And the Cenation.... what about them? What about the looks on the faces of the children? They trembled in fear at the sight of the monster they once considered their role model! Now where do they go? The same place you have gone, John Cena. The dark and cold abyss where the only thing you can do is look up at the sky and follow the buzzards!" The Wyatt signature strikes again, as Luke Harper and Erick Rowan appear behind John Cena. They attack, as Bray Wyatt strolls to the ring. Cena does his best to fight off the Wyatt Family members, even tossing Rowan out of the ring, but he succumbs to the numbers game. Harper nearly takes his head off with a massive discus clothesline, before Rowan nails a big full nelson slam. Bray orders them around as Rowan clears off the announce table. Harper and Rowan stand on the guardrail, holding the lifeless body of Cena before hoisting him up and putting him through the table with a double Chokeslam. “My god King, John Cena is broken in half! Why isn’t anybody coming out to stop this thing?” asks Michael Cole. Bray goes to the floor and can be heard telling Cena that “the Cenation belongs to me John!” Bray orders Harper and Rowan to drag Cena up the ramp. The sight of his limp body getting dragged leads to shots of stunned fans. As they reach the top of the stage, Bray has Harper and Rowan hit another double Chokeslam, but this one off the stage! Bray laughs as the crowd is in awe. He drops to his knees in front of Harper and Rowan, shouting “FOLLOW THE BUZZARDS!”
A recap is shown of the shocking scene that we just witnessed. The cameras then show us that John Cena, a man who is known for his ability to get through the toughest of times, had to be taken out of the arena in a stretcher. We see him being put into an ambulance before it drives off. BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE: DOLPH ZIGGLER VS. JACK SWAGGER; Considering what went down between Cesaro and Jack Swagger last night, the Real American is in a foul mood. He aggressively clips Dolph Ziggler early and chooses to work the leg of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner. Swagger is taking a different approach than Alberto Del Rio and Rob Van Dam earlier tonight, as he seems to want to wear down Dolph’s leg and make him tap out. Dolph comes through with a superkick from out of nowhere but can’t capitalize since he had to use the foot that’s been worked on. As both men get up, Ziggler hits the Fameasser but is only able to get a near fall. He runs into a clothesline, and Swagger goes for the Swagger Bomb. Ziggler gets his knees up to counter and scores with the Zig Zag. 1-2-3. Dolph Ziggler defeats Jack Swagger in 9:54!
As soon as the bell rings, Dolph Ziggler looks up at the titantron, sees that he beat Rob Van Dam’s time and leaps to his feet with joy. The crowd celebrates along with Ziggler, who now just has to make sure that the next Beat the Clock match goes longer than his time and he’ll have earned himself a shot at the United States Championship. Zeb Colter enters the ring, looking disappointed. Jack Swagger gets to his feet and is furious with himself. As Dolph Ziggler reaches the entrance, Zeb gets a microphone and begins to speak. “There is only one reason I can think of to explain why my Real American Jack Swagger just lost to Dolph Ziggler. That reason is simply Cesaro. We brought him into the Real Americans even though he’s from Switzerland and how does he repay us?” Before he can go on, an unfamiliar theme plays as Cesaro steps out to the stage. He has a microphone and says that it isn’t that he doesn’t appreciate his time in the Real Americans. “Being part of the Real Americans opened a lot of doors for me, but I’ve just grown sick and tired of both of you.” Jack Swagger snatches the microphone from Zeb and demands Cesaro get into the ring right now. Cesaro obliges and they go at it. Both men trade shots until Cesaro trips up Swagger and the crowd come to their feet in preparation for the Cesaro Swing. However, Swagger is able to kick him off and roll outside, regrouping with Zeb Colter. Cesaro dares him to get back in, but Swagger and Zeb leave to fight another day.
Another Bo Dallas vignette airs. For the first time though, we actually hear from Bo instead of just seeing inspirational images. “My dream has always been to make it to the WWE. Some of you may remember, but I actually competed in the 2013 Royal Rumble. And I failed. I had to look deep inside of myself to find success. And you know what happened? I began to Bo-lieve. Since then, I’ve gone on to be the longest reigning NXT Champion in history. Longer than Big E and even longer than Seth Rollins. You can have success like me to. All you have to do…is Bo-Lieve.” THE BROTHERHOOD VS. REY MYSTERIO AND SIN CARA; Two of the most exciting tag teams in the WWE go at it here. Commentary makes sure to note that tag team competition has been heating up lately and, with the Real Americans out of the picture, the number one contender spot is wide open. Both teams have been struggling lately, with Cody Rhodes and Goldust losing to the Real Americans on Raw and Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara losing on Smackdown to the Wyatt Family. These four men go at a fast pace and pick up several near falls each. Goldust, being the strongest guy in the match, snaps off an impressive powerslam on Mysterio but Cara is able to break the count. Shortly after, Cody gets the tag and comes in hot. Cara dives out onto Goldust, but that leaves Mysterio susceptible to the Disaster Kick, giving his team the win. The Brotherhood defeat Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara!
The hottest tag team of 2013 picks up a win to gain some momentum tonight. They hug on the outside to celebrate, moving one step close to becoming the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
Backstage, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are shown talking in their office when Sheamus barges in. “What the hell was that earlier? I was this close to beating the WWE World Heavyweight Champion until your henchman Kane got involved.” Stephanie tells him to calm down before explaining. “Kane was someone who worked for the Authority, but he put the mask back on last night and isn’t on anyone’s leash. We cannot take responsibility to his actions. However, I’ve actually been meaning to talk to you. You have been very impressive lately. I mean, you’re the new Intercontinental Champion and you’ve shown a side of aggression that we here in the Authority greatly appreciate. As you said, you were very close to beating Daniel Bryan tonight, who has been nothing but a thorn in our side.” Triple H interjects to say that they’re very interested in Sheamus being a part of the Authority. Sheamus ponders the offer and says that he’ll have to think it over.
The theme of Captain Charisma hits as the United States Champion makes his way out to the arena. Christian joins commentary because the final match in the Beat the Clock Challenge is next. BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE: BAD NEWS BARRETT VS. KOFI KINGSTON; “Last night, you came within an inch of dethroning Christian for the United States Championship. I’m sure you feel that if you could just have one…more…match, you’d be able to wrestle the title away. BUT I’M AFRAID I’VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS! Tonight, you’re going to lose to me, lose all hope and fall into a career downward spiral” says Barrett during his entrance. Kofi Kingston doesn’t take lightly to that, starting the match quickly. They trade offense early, and around the five minute mark, Dolph Ziggler walks out to the stage with his trophy to watch. Both guys get near falls as the clock gets closer. Dolph watches intently as we get very close to the mark set by Dolph earlier this evening. Barrett turns the elbow pad inside out and strikes with the Bull Hammer! However, Kofi falls out of the ring. Panicking, Barrett quickly rolls him inside and covers for the three. Bad News Barrett defeats Kofi Kingston in 9:59!
Looking up at the clock, Bad News Barrett is livid as he loses out on a United States Championship shot by a mere five seconds! Dolph Ziggler throws his arms into the air in celebration along with the WWE Universe. Christian is not pleased with the result as Dolph points at him from the stage and motions for the title around his waist.
Backstage, Renee Young is standing by with the WWE Tag Team Champions, the Usos. She congratulates them on retaining the belts in the ladder match last night, but wants to know what’s next. Jimmy responds by saying that they’re living out their dream of being the WWE Tag Team Champions and they don’t want the ride to stop anytime soon. Jey chimes in, “We always promised ourselves that we would be fighting champions and that’s exactly what we’ll be. While there aren’t any number one contenders right now, a lot of teams are stepping up and whoever gets the shot, we’ll be ready.”
Commentary discusses the Submissions Match last night between AJ Lee and Paige for the WWE Divas Championship. Paige never submitted, but passed out while in the Black Widow. Neither girl is in the arena tonight, but the graphic below is shown, informing everyone that AJ Lee will be at Main Event tomorrow to call out Paige. THE BELLA TWINS VS. EVA MARIE AND SUMMER RAE; At the start of the match, Total Divas is promoted for this week. On the upcoming episode, Summer Rae and Eva Marie have issues as a team. The trend happens here as well unfortunately. Summer Rae handles the bulk of the ring stuff and refuses to tag Eva Marie, because in her words from the Total Divas ad, “Eva sucks.” Eva goes out of her way to tag herself in. She flips her hair around in a cocky manner, which costs her as Brie plants her with the Bella Buster to score the win. The Bella Twins defeat Summer Rae and Eva Marie!
The Bella Twins are unable to enjoy their victory because fire explodes atop the stage as the “Demon” Kane appears and makes a beeline for them. Before he can do any harm though, Daniel Bryan rushes out and they trade shots. Bryan fights valiantly as the Bella Twins are able to escape. Kane catches Bryan and puts him down for the second time tonight with another Tombstone. “Kane has made a statement here tonight against our WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan!” says JBL.
A special Mother’s Day video airs, focusing on clips from Mr. T’s Hall of Fame speech. He spent the majority of the speech discussing his lover for mother. You can relieve the classic speech for just $9.99 on the WWE Network! Returning to the arena, the theme of Lana plays as the “Ravishing Russian” steps out to the stage. “Vnimaniye! Vnimaniye! People of America rise, for the “Super Athlete” Alexander Rusev!” Rusev comes out and walks to the ring beside her. When they enter the ring, Lana goes on a tirade about what happened at Extreme Rules. “All of you stupid people thought that Alexander Rusev couldn’t do it. But he beat the Big Show last night. Actually, he crushed the Big Show. So much so that the Big Show is not even in the arena tonight.” The crowd boos as Lana continues, “Alexander Rusev proved to the WWE Universe and the entire world that he is the most dominant Superstar in the history of the WWE. There is nobody that can stop the Super Athlete. He is the Bulgarian Brute and if Big Show cannot stop him, then who can?” Lana continues to boast and says that over the next few weeks, she will be bringing in talent from to try and topple Rusev as a way to test him. “I will award a $5000 prize to anyone tough enough to last even five minutes with Rusev. I know how much you Americans crave your money.” The crowd continues to boo as Rusev takes the microphone and shouts in Russian before the segment comes to a close.
BATISTA AND RANDY ORTON VS. SETH ROLLINS AND ROMAN REIGNS; Our main event for tonight has the WWE Universe on their feet. A preview of the clash between two of the greatest factions in WWE history is enough to get the fans going. Triple H and Dean Ambrose are ringside for the bout. Early on, both teams look equal, with all four men shining at different times. Batista busts out a hard spinebuster, Randy Orton hits his trademark DDT, Roman Reigns executes the apron dropkick and Seth Rollins connects on a sweet springboard knee strike. As the match wears on, Batista and Orton cut the ring in half, working on the smaller half of their opponents, Seth Rollins. They take turns beating on him until he’s able to make the hot tag to Reigns. He comes in firing on all cylinders, striking everything in sight. He cocks his first before laying out Orton with the Superman punch. He goes for the Spear but Triple H pulls Orton out of the ring and Reigns crashes into the turnbuckle. Ambrose runs around the ring and tackles Triple H, causing the referee to try and intervene. Suddenly, Sheamus runs in through the crowd and nails Reigns with a vicious Brogue Kick! Orton gets back in the ring, covering Reigns and getting the three. Batista and Randy Orton defeat Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns!Seth Rollins tries to enter the ring but is taken out by a spear from Batista. Triple H rids himself of Dean Ambrose by tossing him into the steel steps before entering the ring. He, Batista and Randy Orton stand across from Sheamus. Triple H has a smirk and extends his hand out, which Sheamus accepts. “King, this is not good news. The Authority was already the strongest entity in all of WWE, but adding Sheamus puts them on another level” says Michael Cole!

Can you smell it? No, it's not fish. It's another action packed RAW! A big match to open the show with the right guy going over. I do like the screwy finish for this, protects both championships. Kane looks like a badass too. Beat The Clock? I always loved those matches, and it makes it look like earning a shot at the US championship mean something. The Shield vs Evolution at Payback? I can dig it. One part of me wants you to keep The Shield together, but another part of me wants you to have Seth go solo as a heel. When did Christian turn into Chris Jericho? "Hello Rachel" is such a Jericho move. I still liked it though. I like your heel Christian. A good win for Rob Van Dam. The whole F'N show. Jesus! Cena double chokeslamed off the stage? That's hardcore. I do like where you're taking Wyatt and Cena's feud. Dolph beating RVD's time is good. I like the idea of Dolph becoming US champ again. Cesaro as a face is intriguing to me, I hope you push him well. I Bolieve. A solid win for The Brotherhood. I hope you give Mysterio one last run. His stock really fell by the time he left the WWE. Barrett failing to beat the clock is interesting, but it means Dolph is getting the shot. I hope Ziggler dethrones Christian as champion. Kane is a monster, but make sure he doesn't hurt Nikki! LANA <3 An interesting take with the $5000 at stake. A good main event with another shocking twist. I like seeing Sheamus join The Authority, and I can't wait for the clash between Shield and Evolution. Overall, a really enjoyable show.

Alright, it's May 5, 2014 and Kev is never going to catch up to me because I said so. The Bateman said so. Just wait until you read (and reply) to my Raw ASAP and you'll understand that one. A hot way to start things off between the WWE World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion, would be a good match as these guys always do well with each other. Kane had to ruin it though, didn't he? Some good build here with the Tombstone and I reckon we'll get Bryan vs Kane at Payback. Beat the what challenge!? Oh, clock. Right. Evolution is a mysteryyyy... and Shield is not. They have one mission: TO KICK ASS AND TAKE NAMES! I'm still curious as to if you have Rollins go heel after Payback or not, we'll see. Looking forward to their six man tag but more what happens after it. Christian? That's how he rolls. Six guys vying for a shot at him and ain't none of them gonn' win! Well, maybe. We'll see. Rob Van Dam takes the first match in 10:43? That seems like a long amount of time and somebody has to beat that, right? RVD probably doesn't even care what time it is unless it's 4:20 anyway. Brutal attack with Harper and Rowan on Cena and it appears this feud is far from over. Hopefully Payback is the real blow off match, though. That would be preferred and maybe (maybe) Wyatt will go over? Dolph Ziggler sets the time next by beating Jack Swagger in 9:54. Again, it seems like a long amount of time. Hey, Cesaro and Swagger feud continuing!? Good, WWE did terrible with that. Hopefully Cesaro does get the upper hand in the end, though. Bo Dallas referencing to Big E and Seth Rollins? And his time in the Royal Rumble? I dig it. I also dig The Brotherhood beating Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara. They're a much more interesting and deserving team at this point. Poor Rey. Sheamus actually pondering joining The Authority, eh? Either he is going to do it or go up against them. We'll see. Bad News Barrett beat Kofi Kingston but... not in enough time. Well, I'm afraid I've got some bad news for Bad News then! HAHAHA! I'm so clever. I like the idea of Ziggler versus Christian and I'd prefer the prior take the belt away, if not BNB if he gets involved in this too. The Bella Twins beat Summer Rae and Eva Marie. Yeah, who cares? Kane cares. Because Brie is there. Even though Nikki is there too and he should be taking her and not Brie. She's so much hotter. unf. I mean, what? No Katie Vick please. I mean, what? Another tombstone!? Jesus, Kane, calm down you're going to send him in to neck surgery! Interesting challenge from Lana adding a $5000 challenge to anybody that can last with Rusev. I bet she can last with Rusev... all night long. Finally, a big main event with Batista and Randy Orton getting the win over Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns and a somewhat surprising move by having Sheamus turn heel and actually join The Authority. I'm intrigued, because now it really makes me not sure if anything happens with Rollins going heel after Payback. I DON'T KNOW BUT I'M DAMN SURE CURIOUS. A good, progressive show.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown: Friday 2nd May 2014…Alright, technically the final show before Extreme Rules, which boasts a pretty solid card ahead on Sunday. Bad News Barrett with the Real Americans makes for a fun dynamic – there are technically four nationalities in this match, and for some reason I like bouts like that. Rob Van Dam and the Usos picking up the victory against the Real Americans and Barrett made sense to build for Van Dam’s expected loss on Sunday to the younger Barrett – although I think the finish made Jack Swagger look weak going into him and Cesaro challenging for the WWE Tag Team Championships. I’m hoping that your plans for Bo Dallas are a lot better than what WWE have done with him. Most likely, they will be. Strange positioning on the contract signing, but it does make sense considering that this counts as an opening promo after the first match. A contract signing for AJ Lee and Paige is fine, and I’m so happy that you made this a submission match based on their submission finishers rather than a brutal stipulation like other diaries – but have you put AJ’s Black Widow and Paige’s Scorpion Crosslock over enough? Very important to establish that when building this match. I guess it could be too late to ask that question. Dolph Ziggler was always going to win against Fandango, but I hope you don’t just let Fandango rot in the undercard. Very risky move to put the United States Championship on Christian in 2014, given his track record of injuries. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kofi Kingston win the title yet again on Sunday in that case. Rybaxel are priorities over Xavier Woods and R-Truth – I wish somebody could find a way to make Xavier look appealing, I really do. Alexander Rusev and the Big Show’s promo was expectedly fine to set up for Rusev’s pay-per-view debut ahead. Lana handled a lot of the talk time here, and that’s fine since Rusev should be silent initially, or speak in fluent Russian and nothing but. What a waste of Rey Mysterio here, teaming with Sin Cara to lose to Luke Harper and Erick Rowan of the Wyatt Family in a throwaway match on SmackDown. This is past Mysterio’s last match in WWE (the day after WrestleMania) in real life, so I’m interested if you’re thinking of having him stick around. I do think he should be protected slightly better, though. Kofi Kingston beating Titus O’Neil was expected, although a disqualification win forwarded the feud with Christian…and protected Titus? Interesting call there, not sure if it’s an irrelevant match or you have plans for him. And finally, a good win for Sheamus against Dean Ambrose in the main event to give the Authority the tie-breaker win this week in television main events. Overall, a pretty decent go-home show for SmackDown. I’ll reply to Extreme Rules and RAW at a later time.

Kev, let's hop right into this episode of Raw. Good little opening with Cole, Lawler, and JBL and glad to see us hoping right into a match for a change. It is a very big match at that with new Intercontinental Champion facing off against WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Glad to see Daniel Bryan pick up the win even if it was by disqualification. Kane attacking Bryan and then letting Sheamus hit him with the brogue kick is a total beat down. Leaving Bryan in the middle of the ring after the tombstone makes me think Bryan has some revenge he is going to have to get. Beat the Clock challenge is good and I feel like I haven't seen one of those on real WWE programming in a minute. The Authority in HHH, Batista, and Orton coming out is nice with them talking about the "fluke" win that Bryan and The Shield got. Out comes The Shield to talk back in a nice segment I could really see happening. Good set up for their match at Payback and onto the next segment with US Champion Christian. He cuts a nice little promo and puts himself over, nice. RVD picking up the first win is good considering I hate Alberto Del Rio. Cena talking about beating Bray Wyatt and being in a different place to win the match is realistic and glad to see Wyatt trying to convince Cena to "FollowTheBuzzards" Anyways, Wyatt Family comes out and beats up Cena. I'm shocked to see nobody come out to help Cena after such a brutal beating. Anxious to see the outcome of this happening to Cena. Ziggler defeating Swagger is the smart decision and he now has the fastest time. Cesaro splitting himself from that group is good and I like him having the upper hand on Zeb and Swagger. Bo Dallas promo? Bo-lieve me when I say I hate him, lol. Brotherhood beating Mysterio and Sin Cara gives them some more momentum and takes them closer to the tag team titles. The Authority trying to recruit IC Champ, Sheamus is realistic and I can see him accepting the offer. Barrett misses out on the title shot by 5 seconds is something I could honestly see happening. Ziggler vs Christian for the US Title is a good match that I would enjoy watching so good decisions in the end. The Usos are ready for any tag team, hopefully you pick some good teams for them to face. Divas stuff bores me but glad to see you keeping AJ relevant in the diary. AJ Lee and Paige is the ultimate Diva feud right now, I feel like. Bella Twins picking up the win and setting up Kane coming out only for Daniel Bryan to try to make the save. Kane making a statement by dropping Bryan again is crazy, honestly. Rusev vs The Big Show is a good feud and I hope you push Rusev pretty far in this diary. Batista and Orton vs Rollins and Reigns is a nice match. Sheamus joining The Authority and helping Orton and Batista pick up the win is a nice ending. The Authority has to be stopped eventually and I hope you have something good planned for their demise. Overall, good ass write up and I'm ready for your next show!

WWE Main Event: May 6th, 2014 - First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York
Main Event opens this week with a video package focusing on the main event of Raw last night. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns suffered a loss to Randy Orton and Batista because of interference from Sheamus. After the bell, Sheamus shook hands with Triple H, solidifying his place in the Authority. BIG E VS. TITUS O’NEIL; Since losing the WWE Intercontinental Championship two nights ago at Extreme Rules, Big E hasn’t been seen. Tonight, he steps into the ring with another powerhouse in Titus O’Neil. These two brutes just beat the crap out of each other out of the gate. Big E gains an advantage by running him over with the E-Train. For some peculiar reason, Damien Sandow walks down to the ring, wearing his old school robe again. He keeps a close eye on the match, as Titus O’Neil earns a near fall after a pumphandle slam. Once Big E gets back in the driver’s seat, Sandow heads back up the ramp, leaving commentary confused. Big E polishes off Titus with the Big Ending. Big E defeats Titus O’Neil!Much like last week, the gorgeous Renee Young enters the ring to conduct a post-match interview with our winner. “Congratulations on your win Big E. Now, we all know that you suffered a tough loss at Extreme Rules but the WWE Universe is behind you and wants to know why you weren’t at Raw last night.” Big E replies, saying that he had to clear his head. “Winning the Intercontinental Title was the greatest moment of my career. I cherished that belt and had it taken from me. Having something so important to you taken away does something to a man. I spent the better part of yesterday coming up with my next move. Sheamus, I’m coming for you and I want my title back!”
Catch an all new episode of Legends House, this Thursday night at 8E/7C only on the WWE Network! “Legends never die…we just get better.” A highlight video airs of the Beat the Clock Challenge from Raw last night. Dolph Ziggler bested Rob Van Dam and Bad News Barrett to earn a United States Title shot! Tom Phillips and Bryon Saxton bring us breaking news that was just announced via the WWE App and Dolph Ziggler’s Twitter account. Dolph announced that he will be getting his US Title shot this Friday on Smackdown! EMMA VS. LAYLA; Santino Marella is at ringside to give moral support to his “love” interest Emma. This features better work than one would expect, since neither girl is given much time to strut their stuff often. Emma, always having fun, gets in her signature stuff like the Dilemma and Emmamite Sandwich. Layla fights back, hitting a neckbreaker for two. Things get more interested as Fandango and Summer Rae dance their way to the ring. Santino gets in their face only to get punched by Fandango. Emma busts out her “cobra” as Summer gets in the ring. Emma hits her with the Ven-Emma before doing the same to Layla and winning. Emma defeats Layla!
Emma rolls out of the ring to check on Santino Marella, who is up to his feet. They hug and look in the ring as Fandango enters. Instead of checking on Summer Rae though, he goes and wants to see how Layla is doing. Summer comes to first and is not happy with Fandango. She begins to yell at him, while he tries to explain himself. “There is definitely some trouble in paradise after that” says Tom Phillips.
The special Mother’s Day video from Raw airs, focusing on Mr. T’s Hall of Fame speech where he brought up his mom numerous times. The Raw Rebound is shown next, starting with the excellent bout between Daniel Bryan and Sheamus. The Champion vs. Champion match ended as Kane appeared to assault Bryan. The Tombstone that left Bryan out cold wasn’t enough for the Demon though. He would show up again later, after Bryan’s new bride, Brie Bella and her sister won a Divas tag match. Bryan rushed out to the rescue and fought hard but succumbs to another Tombstone. ALBERTO DEL RIO VS. TYSON KIDD; Lately, Tyson Kidd has been in a bit of a funk over in NXT. Tonight he gets a chance to right the ship here on the main roster, but runs into an angry former World Heavyweight Champion. Del Rio opens by just kicking Kidd around, clearly in a foul mood after suffering back to back losses. Kidd is one of the more resilient Superstars on the roster though, so he fights back, scoring a near fall on a sunset flip. Kidd actually manages to get close to using the Sharpshooter, but Del Rio kicks him off into the corner. Del Rio is up quickly, charging in with a sick sounding enziguri to the skull. That forces Tyson to stumble out of the corner right into the Cross Armbreaker! The official quickly calls for the bell as he is knocked out cold from the kick. Alberto Del Rio defeats Tyson Kidd via submission!
Alberto Del Rio holds onto the Cross Armbreaker for a few extra seconds before breaking it. He finally lets go and poses while the fans boo him. Del Rio seems like a man with a purpose to get his career back on track.
The Divas Champion AJ Lee skips her way down to the ring, but conspicuous by her absence is Tamina Snuka. Still images are shown of the Submissions Match from Extreme Rules between AJ and Paige. Once those are off the screen, AJ Lee begins to speak. “Before I say go too far, I’d like to bring out Paige.” The “Ant-Diva” obliges, walking to the ring, seemingly with a purpose. She gets in the ring, standing across from the Divas Champion. AJ continues, “Thank you for joining me. The reason I wanted to do this in person was based on respect. You see, I won this title and fulfilled my dream last year when I beat my former best friend. Since then, I have gone on and beaten every ‘Total Diva’ in my path. And you know how I beat them all? With the Black Widow. They line up one by one and they tap out one by one.” With there being a lull, Paige asks if there’s a point to all of this. AJ replies, “The point is, that of this entire division, all of last year, everyone tapped out. Except you.” Paige interjects now, “AJ, I was never going to tap out to you. You talk about how your dream was to win that title. I know the feeling. Since I was a little girl in England, I wanted nothing more than to be the best woman in the WWE and I had the chance to do just that at Extreme Rules. Yes, I passed out but I wasn’t going to give up with that title on the line.” AJ responds, “That’s what I’m getting to. I pride myself on being the best Diva in the world. In order to prove that, I want to beat you. Either 1-2-3 in the ring or by making you submit. So I’m laying down the gauntlet. You and I, one more time.” The crowd responds with cheers as Paige wants to know the catch. AJ says there is no catch as she just wants to prove that she is the superior Diva. Paige responds, “Obviously I accept. But let’s really up the ante and do this…I don’t know, in my home country in two weeks.” AJ agrees, offering a handshake. Paige reluctantly returns the favor and we have ourselves a major match signed for Raw’s return to England.

WWE NXT: May 8th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
Following the NXT opening intro video, we go directly to the ring for our opening contest. Jason Albert, Renee Young and Rich Brennan introduce things from the broadcast table. JUSTIN GABRIEL VS. TYLER BREEZE; Just one week ago, Tyler Breeze defeated Tyson Kidd in the main event of NXT. Now, Kidd’s friend and tag team partner, Justin Gabriel, gets a chance to avenge his buddy. Much like that bout, this is fast paced and exciting. Gabriel’s daredevil offense has Breeze reeling early, until a well-placed Supermodel kick turns the tide. Out comes Tyson Kidd to ringside during a headlock to lend moral support. Breeze gets two on a DDT before stopping to take a selfie. Kidd gets on the apron and snatches the phone from him. Gabriel rolls up Breeze from behind, but only gets two. As they get up simultaneously, Breeze connects with the Beauty Shot, resulting in the finish. Tyler Breeze defeats Justin Gabriel! “The hot streak of Prince Pretty continues with another win over a main roster veteran” exclaims Renee Young. Tyler Breeze picks up his cellphone from the mat and takes some selfies. He’s interrupted by the sound of Tyson Kidd on the microphone. “Tyler. I’ve had enough of this. I came back to NXT to turn my career around but all I’ve done is lose. I’m the last graduate of the Hart Dungeon dammit, I’m better than this. So how about I show you just good I am at TakeOver?" Tyler Breeze gives a look of pity towards Tyson and nods his head, accepting the match.
The below graphic is shown, promoting tonight’s big Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for Paige’s NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver! Plus, in our main event, Adam Rose teams with Sami Zayn to face Bo Dallas and Corey Graves!
An advertisement runs for the WWE Network. Not only do you get all of the amazing content for just $9.99, but now if you refer a friend to sign up, you both get a $25 gift card to the WWE Shop! ENZO AMORE AND COLIN CASSADY VS. THE LEGIONNAIRES; Jason Albert informs us that the Legionnaires consist of Sylvester Lefort and his comrade, Marcus Louis. Enzo Amore and Big Cass come out to their usual big pop and cut down their opponents before the bell. Once it begins, the Legionnaires show off some solid tag team work as their chemistry seems to be solid. However, the chemistry of Enzo and Cass is just a bit better as Cass launches Enzo onto Lefort for the win. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady defeat The Legionnaires!
Cheers come down over Full Sail University as Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady continue to gain momentum. They do a Shawn Michaels and Diesel like high five as Tom Phillips mentions that with this and Enzo’s win over Viktor last week, they have to be in line for a shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles!
Returning, a replay is shown of Brodus Clay’s brutal assault on NXT Champion Adrian Neville last week. An image not seen last week appears, showing some of Neville’s teeth were actually knocked out. We are then taken to an update from Adrian Neville himself, as he recoded the video from his phone while at home. He says that he had to have some emergency oral surgery to have his teeth fixed, but it won’t keep him out of action long. “Even though I’m resting now, I’ll be back next week and I’m coming for you Brodus. I don’t wanna wait until TakeOver.”
A Legends House advertisement airs. You can catch new episodes every Thursday night at 8E/7C only on the WWE Network! “I may not be here for a long time, but I’m here for a good time.” Before our Battle Royal to determine the Number One Contender for Paige’s NXT Women’s Championship begins, the “Anti-Diva” comes out to sit at ringside and watch the contest. NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S BATTLE ROYAL; Bayley, Charlotte, Emma, Sasha Banks, Jojo, Alicia Fox, Natalya, Layla, and Summer Rae were joined by the debuting Alexa Bliss. She is pretty much a fairy princess. Once the bell rings, all ten girls just go after each other. The youngster, Jojo, only working her third match ever, is the first to be eliminated. Surprisingly, the next girls out are the main roster ones. It seems as if the NXT girls wanted to rid the match of them and have the focus be on them. As it comes down to the final four, we see Bayley, Charlotte, Banks and shockingly, Bliss. Bliss saves herself from being eliminated with her ability to hang on. That is stopped as Banks and Charlotte team up to dump her. The BFFs now turn their attention to Bayley, but end up arguing with each other. All three females end up going over the top and all hit the floor together. The Battle Royal ends in controversy!
The match being over doesn’t stop these rivals from continuing to do battle until the theme of John “Bradshaw” Layfield hits. The General Manager of NXT comes to the stage, shouting for them to stop. He says that with the ending we just had, he isn’t sure what to do. The fans chant “Triple Threat” but before JBL can decide on that, Paige grabs a microphone. “Allow me to interject here. All three of these girls have been very impressive as of late and I pride myself on not only being the best Diva in the world, but on being a fighting champion. With that being said, I’ll fight all three of them at TakeOver.” The crowd cheers for this as JBL looks surprised at this idea. He asks if Paige is sure about this, and when she says yes, he makes the match official.
Devin Taylor is standing by backstage with Sami Zayn. She asks for his thoughts on teaming with Adam Rose in tonight’s main event. Sami says that it doesn’t matter who his teammate is tonight because all he wants to do is get his hands on Corey Graves. He is cut off by the Exotic Express coming into the screen and dancing. Adam Rose enters as well, “Sami, don’t be a lemon. Be a rosebud! I know that you’re dying to get to Corey Graves, and I understand that but that doesn’t you can’t have some fun with us on the way. Look at me, Bo Dallas attacked me last week, and I wanna tear him to shreds, but I’m still partying.” He offers Sami a lollipop, so Sami looks to Devin before deciding to take it.” KALISTO VS. OLVER GREY; Oliver Grey is a former NXT Tag Team Champion but this is more about the debut of Kalisto. Renee Young is sure to point out that Kalisto reminds her of Rey Mysterio and it is easy to see that comparison. This bout is fast paced with both guys coming out of the blocks quickly. Kalisto shows off some innovative and cool offense, like a spinning springboard attack and an impressive handstand before a big kick. Grey does get in some offense, including some close near falls. However, Kalisto is able to connect on what Rich Brennan calls Salida del Sol to secure the victory. Kalisto defeats Oliver Grey!
Kalisto earns a nice round of applause from the fans at Full Sail University thanks to his impressive debut. “I see great things in the future for this guy. He is breathtaking” says Jason Albert.
Once again, Devin Taylor is backstage, but this time is with the NXT Women’s Champion, Paige. She asks what drove her to accept the challenge of facing three women at TakeOver. Paige responds, “I didn’t get into this business to duck challengers or take the easy road. It’s the same reason why I showed up on Raw a month ago and the same reason why I’m taking AJ Lee to the limit. My goal is to be the best that ever did this and if that means beating three girls at TakeOver, then I welcome the opportunity.” ADAM ROSE AND SAMI ZAYN VS. BO DALLAS AND COREY GRAVES; It is clear from the start that Corey Graves is not too pleased with his partner as Bo Dallas’ upbeat attitude seems to irk him. That being said, it doesn’t seem to stop them from really working over Adam Rose. Sami Zayn desperately wants the tag, but Rose is taking a beating in the ring. The Exotic Express do their best to get the crowd to try and rally Rose and it ends up working! He tags in Zayn, who comes in hot and hits some of his key moves. Dallas is knocked outside, so when Graves goes to check on him, Zayn flies over the top and takes him out with a huge dive. Back inside, he demands Dallas tag in Graves. Dallas gives him a thumbs up, but kicks him instead of tagging. Shortly after, Rose is the legal man again and he is hit with the BoDog, allowing Dallas to gain the victory. Bo Dallas and Corey Graves defeat Adam Rose and Sami Zayn!
Bo Dallas has to celebrate on his own, because Sami Zayn and Corey Graves are brawling on the outside. Bo watches on with a smile as their rumble takes them up to the top of the stage. Security and officials rush out to try and separate them, but it’s to no avail. They just keep breaking free and attacking each other. “I know its Falls Count Anywhere at TakeOver, but will that even be enough to contain these two?” asks Rich Brennan.
