So my sister asked me to make a website for her boyfriends take away restaurant, he was gonna pay a pro £700 but I've fixed his computer (viruses and stuff) before so my sister suggested I could do it and he could pay me half...kinda insulting lol
I agreed, only problem is? I've never made a website in my life and I don't know where to start, I just saw money signs ^-^
So if anybody can recommend a website that does it for you yet looks professional or a template website that walks you threw it that would be great.
I know I'll need to register a domain etc... And I know basic html, I haven't talked to him about it yet but I assume he wants his menu up & my sister said he wants it to connect to the JustEat website to place orders.
Any advice would be great guys! Thanks! ^-^

I heard you could get guys in India to do it for 8 dollars a day. You could use Webs.com to make a template site but I wouldn't feel right doing it, especially for 350 euros. Heck, if I were you I'd just tell him I'll make it for free using Webs and you pay to keep the domain up. Of course I'm not you.

Steve Austin mentions a website several times on his podcast, Square Space or something like that.

Use Weebly.
Best website maker I've seen. It's pretty simple to use yet robust with features.

You could also make it easy and convenient for the customers. Just make a facebook page. I know I would rather just hit like on a restaurants facebook page than try and navigate a website.

If you don't know HTML, back out now. Because whether you realize it, you will have to do one of two things:
A: constantly update his site whenever he needs it, especially if he doesn't know how to do it.
B: you'll have to teach him how to maintain a site for updates, which will be tough if you don't even know how to do it.
My suggestion would be to find template sites (ie: blu domain) to make the work much easier for whoever is managing it.

Just open a Geocities site. I've got over one hundred Real Audio WAV wrestling themes, plus screencaps from the latest episode of Thunder!

She suggested that someone who doesn't know how to make a website to make a website for this business? Sorry but I don't see this business turning out well. Shortcuts lead to problems. A professional website can be a big deal for a business. A cheaply made website makes it look like a cheaply run business.

A website to accompany a very successful business that's been going for 8years without one, thanks for your input.

I do have a couple questions. Have you ever learned HTML at all? What is going to be required of the web site for it to be complete? I ask this because to me these are important questions. I've had to build web sites before. If you wish to discuss more, I would be happy to help you out if need be.
