For me it has to be HBK.
I got an HBK defining moments figure and i think its the same as elite series 3, both are ok but not accurate. Same with the elite with the black tights (not sure which series) but that face scan looks nothing like him.
The latest WM14 scan is probably the best of the bunch but i still think they havent quite nailed it.
Is there anyone else who you think Mattel seem to be struggling with when it comes to face scans?
Im hoping they come good with HBK considering we should have many more figures of him to come but i would like to see MDT capture his likness more accurately.

Its a tie between Dolph Ziggler and Triple H for me. The 5 o clock shadow isn't quite there, and the hair color on Triple H seems iffy. Ziggler has a unique face that hasn't been exact like other superstars.

Ziggler has a unique face that hasn't been exact like other superstars. I thought they did a great job with elite 19 Ziggler, one of my faves. As for HHH you are right, especially the early HHH's but the last couple they have done i think are very solid. |

The new CRUSH is just terrible. I hate when the head scan comes off "cartoonish"
Also one other that really sucks is when the scale is out of whack. That new Jericho is way too small and the new elite Undertaker is way too big. Those are a couple of my critiques.
Overall- I love Mattel's work and by no means do I mean disrespect. I hope they're aware of the issues and I hope they continue to evolve and improve.

I'm really not a big fan of any of the Triple H scans they have put out. The only reason I own a figure of him currently, is because it's one of the first released Series 1 figures with the 1/1000 belt.
I think Mattel really nailed HBK with the WMXIV figure as well as the WMXXVI Toys R Us exclusive figure, which I put on my Defining Moments.

It was HBK in the beginning, but the Rockers exclusive, Elite 19, and WM 14 HBKs have all been amazing.

Seth Rollins - I don't like his head scans I just don't understand why we can't get him with his hair out instead of wrap up in some bun it looks bad IMO.
AJ lee - Not a fan of any of them she looks really ugly.

Personally.. I think we've never had a definitive CM Punk scan.. His beard is always too thick and too dark.
Dean Ambrose could do with a bit of improvement too.

Randy Savage. I don't feel any of his 3 Mattel headscans quite capture his facial likeness and personality. Looking beyond the hair/glasses/beard, the original straight-faced one is a poor likeness, the smiling one is a poor likeness, and the Elite 24 one is only an OK likeness. I'm really hoping eventually we'll see a Savage based on his late-WCW/Team Madness look. With a new ponytailed headscan and a straight-faced, intense-staring headscan that really captures his likeness. In my mind it's the main era of his career Mattel haven't yet done anyway.
Also as Dean said, the new Crush headscan is terrible too. Beyond the facepaint it just looks like a generic snarling man. The Jakks Crush headscan wasn't perfect, but you could still recognise Adams in there. Hopefully we will see more Adams figures from Mattel with new headscans, e.g. Kronik, NWO, DOA, Evil Crush, etc.
Oh yeh and Diamond Dallas Page, while the likeness isn't terrible, I'd really like to see another DDP figure representing his rise to fame as a heel (circa 1996) when he battled Johnny B Badd and mistreated Kimberly (in storylines). With a snarling or straight-faced headscan. Or my second choice would be an "Insiders" DDP. Hell I'd even take a Stalker DDP. Basically ANYTHING except a smiling version. A heel-facescan DDP has actually been one of my most wanted figures for many years, and 1996 was such an important part of his career.

But his tasche figure is pretty good.
I agree on HBK but his WM exclusive is great so....
There are improving every time.

Dolph. The open mouthed scan is legit one of the worst I've ever seen.
With Mattel I have more of a problem with the hair colors they choose then the face scans.
I'm not a big fan of the ginger color they keep giving Taker and the weird color they chose for Swagger's last Elite.

Swaggers hair was always slicked back and did not have that piece of hair on the left side of the head that was added. The coloring is completely off compared to real life |

Theres a lot that their having a tough time with, there either really good or really bad. Even though i love the divas figures, lots of their scans aren't very good.
